Initial appearances

Jorge Omar Jaimes Almazan, 38, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 signature bond Feb. 24 on six misdemeanor bail jumping and two operate without valid license (second within three years) charges. A status conference is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 13.

Shelly Marie Campeau, 47, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond Feb. 24 on a felony misappropriate ID info – obtain money charge. A status conference is slated for 11 a.m. April 1.

Sydney Ann Landgraf, 24, River Falls, entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement Feb. 24 prior to an initial appearance on a felony forgery – public record or copy charge. An administrative review is set for eight months from the date of the signed agreement.

Shaun Patrick Wurm, 40, Hudson, pleaded not guilty and posted a $250 signature bond Feb. 24 on an operate without valid license (second within three years) charge. A status conference is set for 10 a.m. April 1.

Deferred cases

Kyle Hunter Doten, 29, Elmwood, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement Feb. 24 on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge. A possess drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a July 16 incident.

Christopher Daniel Kammeyer, 33, River Falls, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement on criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct charges Feb. 21. The charges stemmed from incidents Dec. 2 and Dec. 15 in River Falls.

Brian David Melstrom, 57, Ellsworth, pleaded guilty to and entered into a deferred judgment of conviction agreement Feb. 21 on a disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) charge. A domestic battery charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a Dec. 8 incident.

Closed cases

Aaron Allan Addison, 46, Spring Valley, was sentenced to nine years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision and fined $1,554 Feb. 21. Addison was convicted of felony maintain drug trafficking place, felony possess with intent – cocaine and felony possess firearm – convicted of a felony Sept. 26, 2023; however, he failed to show up to a Dec. 11, 2023 sentencing hearing and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The charges stemmed from incidents July 27, 2022 and Jan. 18, 2023 in Spring Valley.

Timothy M. Briese, 36, Wilson, was convicted of theft – movable property Feb. 21, sentenced to one year’s probation, fined $443 and ordered to pay $200 in restitution (plus a 10% surcharge). The charge resulted from a Sept. 1, 2023 incident.

Kyle Hunter Doten, 29, Elmwood, was convicted of retail theft – intentionally take Feb. 24, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $443. The charge stemmed from an Oct. 8, 2023 incident.

Troy Morgan Eichhorn, 60, Ellsworth, was convicted of OWI-second Feb. 24, sentenced to 20 days in jail, fined $1,680, and ordered to undergo an alcohol evaluation and install an ignition interlock device after a 14-month driver’s license revocation. An operating with PAC-second charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a Sept. 13 incident.

Ashland Irene Johannsen, 28, Maiden Rock, was convicted of felony possession of methamphetamine (repeater) Feb. 21, sentenced to three years’ probation and fined $518. The charge stemmed from a May 2 incident.

Misdemeanor bail jumping, two OWI-third and two operating with PAC-third charges against Allan John Kelly, 77, River Falls, were dismissed Feb. 20. The charges resulted from incidents March 14, 2023 and Aug. 3, 2023.

Tyler John Meerkins, 41, Hager City, was convicted of disorderly conduct Feb. 20 and fined $443. The charge stemmed from an April 19, 2021 incident.

Vincent Paul Thunder Hawk, 37, New Richmond, was convicted of resisting or obstructing an officer Feb. 24, sentenced to 90 days in jail (time served) and fined $443. The charge resulted from a Nov. 22 incident.
