Pierce County Circuit Court: Sept. 17-22, 2025

Initial appearances

Ryan Scott Beierman, 44, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond Sept. 22 on a disorderly conduct charge. A status conference is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. Oct. 28.

A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Kevin Joseph Brown, 39, Somerset, who missed a Sept. 22 initial appearance on felony bail jumping and two resisting or obstructing an officer charges.

Daniel John Kukuk, 38, River Falls, posted a $10,000 signature bond Sept. 17 on a felony bail jumping charge. A status conference is set for 2 p.m. Oct. 15.

Travis Donald Kurtz, 37, St. Paul, pleaded not guilty and posted a $2,500 signature bond Sept. 22 on OWI-second and operating with PAC-second charges. A status conference is slated for 2 p.m. Oct. 28.

Doran Eric Maher, 28, Spring Valley, posted a $10,000 signature bond Sept. 22 on a felony neglecting a child (no harm and child < 6 or disability) charge. A status conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 27.

Whitney Ann O’Neil, 48, Ellsworth, pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 signature bond on a battery (domestic abuse, repeater) charge. A status conference is set for 11 a.m. Oct. 27.

Demetrius Lamont Nolen, 26, River Falls, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond Sept. 18 on theft – movable property, retail theft – intentionally take, possession of cocaine/coca and possession of THC charges. A plea/sentencing hearing is slated for 2:30 p.m. Jan. 28.

Robert Charles Shaub, 52, Ellsworth, posted a $5,000 signature bond Sept. 22 on misdemeanor bail jumping, operating while revoked (alcohol related) and three felony bail jumping charges. A status conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 20.

Dustin Michael Macheska Sieben, 37, Hastings, Minn., pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,000 signature bond Sept. 22 on possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges. A status conference is set for 2:15 p.m. Oct. 28.

A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of James Steven Todd, 47, Roberts, who missed a Sept. 22 initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge.

Closed cases

Jorge Omar Jaimes Almazan, 39, River Falls, was convicted of operate without carrying license Sept. 17 and fined $277.80. Operate without valid license (second within three years) and six misdemeanor bail jumping charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents Jan. 5 and Jan. 11.

Shawn Phillip Arvin, 49, Farmington, Minn., was convicted of retail theft – intentionally transfer Sept. 17 and fined $443. A failure to pay for service (>$500-$5,000) charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a June 7, 2024 incident.

Edison Gerardo Benitez Benitez, 30, Ellsworth, was convicted of operate without valid license (second within three years) Sept. 17 and fined $743. Possession of THC and operate without valid license (second within three years) charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from incidents Sept. 25, 2023 and Jan. 29 2024.

Douglas Rayburn Berland, 68, Stockholm, was convicted of OWI-first Sept. 19, fined $1,119 and ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and install an ignition interlock device after a seven-month driver’s license revocation. An operating with PAC charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from an Oct. 22, 2023 incident.

An operate firearm while intoxicated charge against Michael Lee Hamilton, 50, Ellsworth, was dismissed Sept. 18. The charge stemmed from a March 2 incident.

Jacob K. Heitman, 35, Maiden Rock, was convicted of disorderly conduct (domestic abuse) Sept. 22 upon revocation of a deferred judgment of conviction agreement, sentenced to one year’s probation and fined $543. The charge resulted from a May 21, 2023 incident.

Jhonder Omar Puglla Medina, 27, Baldwin, was convicted of resisting or obstructing an officer Sept. 17 and fined $443. A possession of THC charge was dismissed. The charges stemmed from an Oct. 10, 2024 incident.

Erick Leandro Pullaguari Lozano, 24, Hudson, was convicted of operating while revoked (alcohol related) Sept. 17 and fined $443. The charge resulted from a May 25, 2024 incident.

Maynor J. Sanchez Espino, 26, Eau Claire, was convicted of operate without valid license (second within three years) Sept. 17 and fined $443. The charge stemmed from a March 29, 2024 incident.

Matthew Ray Schumacher, 31, Menomonie, was convicted of operate without carrying a license Sept. 22 and fined $277.80. The charge resulted from a June 4 incident.

Chad Eric Smith, 53, New Richmond, was convicted of felony bail jumping (repeater) and criminal damage to property (repeater – domestic abuse) Sept. 19, sentenced to three years of probation, fined $1,061 and ordered to undergo a domestic violence assessment. Disorderly conduct (repeater, domestic abuse) and possess drug paraphernalia (repeater) charges were dismissed. The charges stemmed from a Jan. 16 incident.

Amanda Hope Wadena, 38, St. Paul, was convicted of possess amphetamine/LSD/psilocin Sept. 19, sentenced to 30 days in jail (time served) and fined $443. A possession of THC charge was dismissed. The charges resulted from a March 1, 2017 incident.
