The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Jan. 20-26, 2026.
Tuesday, Jan. 20
At 10:20 a.m., a resident at N5858 1242nd, Prescott, informed police of a scam text she received. The texter claimed to be from WisDOT.
Officers assisted EMS with a medical at 10:47 a.m. at N6699 950th, River Falls.
At 1:20 p.m., deputies took information on stray dogs at 1090th Street and County Road M, River Falls.
Police assisted EMS with a medical at 1:41 p.m. at S225 S. McKay Ave., Spring Valley.
Officers performed lifesaving measures on a person at 3:13 p.m. at W9806 770th, River Falls. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers assisted Prescott police at 7:32 p.m. at 1125 Henry St.
At 8:49 p.m., deputies helped jail staff with a man trying to get out of his cell.
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a traffic stop at 10:20 p.m. at Eagle Ridge Drive and Highway 10.
Wednesday, Jan. 21
At 3:55 a.m., police assisted a motorist out of a snowbank at Overlook Drive and Grant Street.
Deputies assisted River Falls police at 4:23 a.m. at Ninth Street and Falcon Drive.
At 5:37 a.m., police stood by while a vehicle was pulled out of the ditch at Highway 65 and 820th Street, River Falls.
At 5:58 a.m., a resident at N7408 County Road O, River Falls, reported seeing a bright light outside his window. He didn’t want police to respond.
Officers responded to an alarm at 8:40 a.m. at 412 W. Kinne St., Ellsworth. No assistance was needed.
At 8:51 a.m., a woman reported damage to her marital residence at W1153 Whitetail Run, Spring Valley, that’s in the process of being sold. She said her husband did the damage. She took photos for upcoming court hearings.
Officers assisted EMS at 9:08 a.m. at N5001 1208th, Prescott.
At 10 a.m., police conducted a welfare check at W7145 148th, Bay City. A vehicle was left running and the driver had not been seen or heard from in hours. He overslept.
Officers responded to a one-vehicle accident with damage at 11:07 a.m. at 620th Avenue and Highway 10, Prescott.
Police were dispatched to a vehicle vs. guardrail crash at 11:49 a.m. at 620th Avenue and Highway 10, Prescott.
Deputies were called to a one-vehicle slide-in without damage at 12:51 p.m. at Highway 63 and County Road K, Ellsworth. The driver was cited for operate without valid license and operating motor vehicle without insurance.
Police were asked to do a welfare check on a woman requesting help at 1:07 p.m. at N4883 County Road OO, Hager City. The woman was combative and told everyone to leave.
At 2:32 p.m., police assisted EMS at N5001 1208th, Prescott. A person was transported by ambulance.
Police took information on a lost dog at 3:58 p.m. at W1467 530th, Elmwood.
Officers responded to a vehicle slide-in without damage at 5:14 p.m. at Highway 35 and County Road E, Prescott. Police provided lights while the vehicle was towed.
Police assisted with traffic control while a vehicle was tugged out of a ditch at 5:15 p.m. at Highway 35 and 1050th Street, Prescott.
A tow company notified police of a vehicle in the ditch at 10:38 p.m. at Highway 35 and County Road E, Prescott.
A vehicle was towed from the side of the road at 11:12 p.m. at Highway 63 and 825th Street (north), Hager City.
Thursday, Jan. 22
Police checked on a suspicious vehicle idling outside a closed business at 2:42 a.m. at W8025 Highway 10, Ellsworth. The driver said she had permission to park there and use the internet.
At 4:56 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch at 620th Avenue and Highway 10, Prescott. The driver was able to drive out.
Officers assisted Public Health with a welfare check at 11:02 a.m. at N1787 150th, Plum City.
Police found a vehicle on the shoulder at 12:44 p.m. near N2286 County Road U, Plum City. A note on the vehicle said the vehicle had gotten stuck and the owner would have it removed.
Officers responded to a fire alarm at 2:10 p.m. at W8560 770th, River Falls. It was a false alarm.
Deputies took a man into custody after a sentencing hearing at 4:51 p.m. at 414 W. Main St., Ellsworth. He was transported to the jail.
Deputies responded to a welfare check at 5:31 p.m. at W7453 Highway 10, Ellsworth. They weren’t able to make contact with anyone.
At 6:10 p.m., police were notified of vehicles stuck in the roadway at 6:10 p.m. at County Road E and 530th Avenue, Prescott. All vehicles were removed and the highway department was contacted.
At 7:04 p.m., police took an ongoing complaint about strange lights near N7420 County Road O, River Falls.
Friday, Jan. 23
Officers assisted with traffic control while a semi was towed from a ditch at 4:11 a.m. at Highway 29 ad 635th Avenue, Prescott.
Deputies responded to a CO alarm at 6:53 a.m. at N7587 Highway 65, River Falls. All occupants were able to get to a warm location. EMS and Fire also responded.
Officers assisted EMS with a patient lift/transport at 7:08 a.m. at N5452 170th, Elmwood.
At 8:31 a.m., a resident at N7420 County Road O, River Falls, was concerned about a neighbor’s dog going onto his property. The neighbor was contacted and said he had a GPS tracker on the dog.
Officers conducted a welfare check at 9:58 a.m. at W7453 Highway 10, Ellsworth. A man was located dead in the residence.
Police responded to a vehicle in the ditch at 3:28 p.m. at W9463 690th, River Falls. The vehicle had no damage.
At 3:41 p.m., a caller at W12235 620th, Prescott, reported a suspicious person coming to her house asking her permission to hunt on her property.
Deputies responded to a vehicle slide-in at 5:18 p.m. at County Road BB and Highway 29, Spring Valley. The driver was arrested for OWI and a warrant, ad cited for operate without valid license and possess drug paraphernalia.
Police were called to a vehicle slide-in at 5:48 p.m. at 890th Avenue and 1250th Street, River Falls. The vehicle was stuck in a dangerous position on a private driveway. The property owner allowed it to stay there overnight.
Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash at 6:52 p.m. at 450th Street and Highway 29, Spring Valley.
Officers assisted River Falls police at 8:06 p.m. at 1204 Bartosh Lane.
Deputies assisted in mediating an ongoing civil matter at 8:41 p.m. at N6740 870th, River Falls.
Saturday, Jan. 24
Officers responded to a business alarm at 4:42 a.m. at 1211 W. Winter Ave., Elmwood. All doors were secure.
Deputies assisted with a medical at 4:51 a.m. at Pierce County Jail.
Police responded to a one-vehicle crash with damage at 5:32 a.m. at county roads DD and V, Bay City.
At 9:07 a.m., police spoke to a family about a property exchange to occur at N6690 870th, River Falls.
At 11:07 a.m., officers received an animal complaint at N7420 County Road O, River Falls. The complainant didn’t want to talk to officers. The suspect said he has a GPS tracker on his dog and the dog hadn’t been on the complainant’s property at all.
At 11:20 a.m., police spoke to a man about potential issues at Emmaus Church (S200 Sabin Ave., Spring Valley).
Officers were called to assist with a woman having stroke symptoms at 2:19 p.m. at W10516 Highway 10, Prescott.
At 5:37 p.m., police were dispatched to W4890 Highway 29, Spring Valley, for a disorderly person. The subject called for a ride and was advised to leave the truck at the scene.
At 8:57 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle for crossing the center line and having an open trunk at Highway 63 and 825th Street (north). The driver was cited for operate without valid license and possess drug paraphernalia. The passenger was arrested for a warrant.
Sunday, Jan. 25
Deputies assisted RF police at 1 a.m. at 107 E. Elm St.
At 1:06 a.m., officers were dispatched for a drunk person at N673 825th, Hager City. A sober person said they were his ride.
At 7:37 a.m., police stopped to check on a running vehicle that had been at County Road A and Highway 35, Maiden Rock, all night. The driver was inside asleep. He said he was homeless but fine.
Deputies responded to a garage sensor burglar alarm at 9 a.m. at N5319 County Road O, River Falls. Upon arrival, everything appeared to be secure. There were no footprints in the snow.
Deputies assisted EMS at 10:28 a.m. at 585 Pine Ridge, Prescott.
Officers assisted EMS at 11:51 a.m. at 137 E. Center Ave., Elmwood.
At 12:34 p.m., a caller reported finding two dogs at Highway 63 and County Road K, Ellsworth. They were returned to their owner.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a welfare check at 3:38 p.m. at 511 W. Vincent Lane.
At 4:07 p.m., police checked for a man walking in the bitter cold at highways 63 and 35, Hager City.
Deputies assisted Spring Valley police at 4:39 p.m. at W1153 Whitetail Run.
Deputies responded to a fire alarm at 4:48 p.m. at W9762 290th, Hager City. It was a false alarm.
A caller reported horses in the roadway at 7:30 p.m. at County Road S and 330th Avenue, Plum City. The owners were attempting to retrieve them.
Deputes assisted Ellsworth police at 8:49 p.m. at 412 W. Kinne St.
Officers assisted EMS at 10:34 p.m. at N5819 County Road E, River Falls.
At 11:35 p.m., deputies assisted with a medical at 258 N. Beulah St., Ellsworth.
Monday, Jan. 26
Deputies assisted high school staff in meeting with a student at 9:31 a.m. at 323 W. Hillcrest St.
