The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office March 17-24.
Monday, March 17
Officers assisted EMS at 11:20 a.m. at N4230 County Road O, Ellsworth.
Deputies assisted as needed for a medical episode at 1:57 p.m. at 553 Alexander Ave., Ellsworth.
At 3:59 p.m., a caller at N5420 1230th, Prescott, requested a welfare check on her husband, who had left after an argument, called into work and hadn’t come home. His cell phone was off.
At 4:03 p.m., a complainant reported a Black Lab and Irish Setter wandering his property at N972 545th, Bay City.
A caller reported suspicious activity at 4:47 p.m. at 404 Omaha Ave., Elmwood.
Deputies assisted Prescott Fire with a fire by the railroad tracks at 5 p.m. at N4630 1150th, Prescott.
At 5:50 p.m., deputies were dispatched to look for a needle at W6490 Lake Pepin Blvd., Bay City. It was not located.
At 10:33 p.m., a caller reported red lasers being shown on a residence at W2801 230th, Maiden Rock. Nothing was found.
Tuesday, March 18
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 12:12 a.m. at 140 W. Humble Ave.
Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at 7:50 a.m. at W7540 Highway 35, Hager City. They tried calling the registered owner without success.
Police were dispatched to a fire call at 8:33 a.m. at W5857 690th, Beldenville.
Officers conducted a welfare check on a woman at 1:23 p.m. at N4013 730th, Ellsworth. An anonymous caller had reported a lot of trash near the house and yard. The woman said she was fine and would remove the trash in the spring.
Deputies assisted River Falls police at 5:01 p.m. at 1319 Oak St.
At 11:20 p.m., police stopped to check on a vehicle with its hood up on the side of the road at Highway 65 and Cemetery Road, River Falls. A man was arrested for a probation warrant.
Wednesday, March 19
Police conducted a mental health check at 4:38 a.m. at N7691 910th, River Falls. A safety plan was put into place.
At 7:21 a.m., a caller reported a dog running loose at 116 Highway 10, Plum City.
At 8:45 a.m., police assisted with traffic control during the removal of power lines at Highway 65 and 820th Street, River Falls.
Police responded to a civil matter between tenant and landlord at 11:09 a.m. at W9929 Highway 29, River Falls. The subject was provided with information regarding ongoing issues.
At 11:17 a.m., police investigated fraud committed over Facebook Marketplace at N8889 1031st, River Falls.
Police assisted EMS at a medical call at 2:19 p.m. at W8483 570th, Ellsworth. A female was transported to Red Wing Mayo.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a deceased person at 2:33 p.m. at 421 W. Cairns St.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a mental health patient at 3:27 p.m. at a group home at 140 W. Humble Ave.
A caller reported a bail bond violation at 6:14 p.m. at N2781 320th, Maiden Rock. A man admitted to drinking alcohol while on an open felony bond. Police forwarded a report to the district attorney.
At 7:16 p.m., cattle were reported near the roadway at W12490 Highway 35, Prescott. The culprits had mooo-ved on.
A missing mini white Dachshund was reported at 7:37 p.m. at W7352 Highway 65, Beldenville.
Deputies assisted Spring Valley police with a traffic stop at 10:09 p.m. at S119 McKay Ave.
Thursday, March 20
At 1:13 a.m., police discovered a sign that had been struck at N8117 County Road CC, Spring Valley. The vehicle had left the scene.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a traffic stop at 2:27 a.m. at 231 N. Bourbon Circle.
A horse was out in the roadway at 6:43 a.m. at County Road FF and 1090th Street, River Falls, Owners were working on rounding it up.
Deputies assisted Lund Fire Department at a grass fire at 12:30 p.m. at N616 130th, Stockholm.
At 2:23 p.m., police received information about dogs repeatedly running at large at N5770 1000th, Ellsworth. The owner was verbally warned.
The utility company was informed of a downed utility line at 6:07 p.m. at County Road S and 300th Street, Maiden Rock.
Deputies responded to a disturbance at 9:50 p.m. at 230 S. Main St. A woman was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.
Officers were dispatched to a theft at 10:14 p.m. at N1343 Katie Lane, Bay City.
Friday, March 21
Probation & Parole requested a welfare check on a man at 6:10 a.m. at 311 S. Woodworth St., Elmwood. He was fine.
At 7:35 a.m., police came across two signs that appeared to have been snapped off by a vehicle that left the road at Highway 72 and County Road S, Elmwood.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a business alarm at 8:43 a.m. at 463 E. Wall St.
Fraud was reported at 1:01 p.m. at W3018 Highway 29, Spring Valley.
At 1:49 p.m., a caller at W12019 742nd, River Falls, reported missing credit and debit cards being used by someone other than their owner.
An inmate about to be released attempted suicide at 3:25 p.m. at Pierce County Jail. They were released and put on a safety plan.
Deputies assisted the Wisconsin State Patrol at 3:38 p.m. at N5981 745th, Ellsworth.
Horses were reportedly running down the road at 4:33 p.m. at N3453 County Road O, Ellsworth. They were not located.
Deputies were dispatched to stand by and keep the peace at 5:01 p.m. at N8199 940th, River Falls. The residents weren’t comfortable with the situation and wanted to make other arrangements.
Officers responded to a motorcycle crash with injuries at 6:10 p.m. at County Road C and 730th Street, Bay City. EMS transported the driver to Red Wing Mayo.
Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash at 7:55 p.m. at Highway 35 and 125th Avenue, Bay City.
Saturday, March 22
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with an OWI at 2:31 a.m. at 426 Railroad Ave.
At 11:41 a.m., a man at W6388 Highway 35, Hager City, called to complain that the mother of his children was missing and not fulfilling her obligations. Police spoke to a family member, who said her phone was off to avoid contact with the man.
At 11:57 a.m., police checked on smoke at W7617 County Road N, Beldenville. The resident was warned to call a controlled burn into dispatch.
Police assisted firefighters with a cornfield that caught fire from a nearby fire burning cardboard at 3:36 p.m. at W6652 320th, Ellsworth.
Deputies responded to a grass fire at 3:54 p.m. at W11270 470th, Prescott.
At 5:15 p.m., police located a telephone wire hanging low at W3716 Highway 10, Maiden Rock. There appeared to be no danger.
Officers assisted with a medical call at 8:50 p.m. at W6454 Highway 35, Bay City.
Suspicious activity was reported at 9:02 p.m. at W7145 148th, Bay City.
At 9:47 p.m., an officer on patrol arrested a man with warrants at Bay and Kinne streets in Ellsworth.
Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at 11:50 p.m. at W7740 520th, Ellsworth. A man was putting belongings in his storage unit.
Sunday, March 23
Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash at 12:10 a.m. at N1713 County Road EE, Bay City.
Officers assisted at a medical call at 6:53 a.m. at N1796 County Road S, Plum City.
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a threats complaint at 10:28 a.m. at 1020 Highway 10.
Officers assisted jail staff with an inmate at 11:16 a.m. at Pierce County Jail. He spoke with Northwest Connections.
At 1:31 p.m., a caller reported a fire at 690th Street and 780th Avenue, River Falls. The resident had not called in a controlled burn.
At 3:39 p.m., police assisted with a CO2 alarm at W324 Highway 29, Spring Valley.
Police responded to a possible fire at 9:13 p.m. at N5683 1245th, Prescott. It was a controlled burn on the Minnesota side.
Deputies were dispatched to a welfare check at 9:23 p.m. at N1787 150th, Plum City. The subject was fine.
Officers were dispatched to a business alarm at 10:19 p.m. at N8230 945th, River Falls. Everything was fine.
Deputies observed a suspicious vehicle at 10:49 p.m. at N1555 770th, Hager City. The subject were talking; police told them to pick a different location.
Monday, March 24
Officers assisted EMS with a man showing stroke symptoms at 12:33 a.m. at N6579 County Road J, Beldenville.
An unwanted subject was reported at 6:38 a.m. at 611 First St., Plum City.
