The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff's Office April 14-20.

Monday, April 14

  • At 12:46 p.m., police were called to N3941 Highway 35, Prescott, for someone trying to sell stolen property to the business. The subject was arrested for receiving stolen property, possess drug paraphernalia and possession of THC.
  • At 1:51 p.m., police spoke to a man whose stolen Airpods (taken in Minneapolis) were tracking to W10099 410th, Prescott.
  • Police responded to a medical pendant press at 4:04 p.m. at N7974 Highway 65, River Falls. The man had left in his vehicle; family reached him by phone and learned he was fine.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 7:20 p.m. at 526 E. Railroad Ave.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 8:08 p.m. at 553 Alexander Ave.
  • Police responded at 9:34 p.m. to N1817 785th, Hager City, where someone was accused of threatening an employee. The suspect was no longer on the scene. The business wanted the person trespassed.
  • At 10:46 p.m., police were dispatched to W4278 Highway 72, Ellsworth, for a suspicious person. A woman said her car had run out of gas; she was given a ride home.

 

Tuesday, April 15

  • Officers responded to an audible burglar alarm at 1:55 a.m. at N8232 945th, River Falls. Police located an open door and cleared the building. No signs of forced entry were observed.
  • Police were dispatched to a verbal argument at 12:20 p.m. at N6133 825th, Ellsworth. A resolution between the parties was reached.
  • At 12:56 p.m., a caller reported finding 20-30 dead pigeons dumped to the side of a driveway at N5587 County Road E, River Falls. There are no suspects.
  • Police responded to an ongoing dog at large complaint at 4:11 p.m. at N1959 830th, Hager City. The complainant had video proof of the dog on the property. A citation will be mailed to the dog owner.
  • Police responded at 8:01 p.m. to a church parking lot (W5706 Highway 72, Ellsworth) for a parking complaint. The parties agreed to handle it themselves.
  • Suspicious activity was reported at 9:50 p.m. at the boat launch (N1299 825th, Hager City).
  • At 10:59 p.m., police saw a woman with a suitcase walking on the side of the road near Highway 63 and 825th Street (north intersection), Hager City. The woman had been reported missing in Montana. Police contacted family and arranged a plan for her to get home.

 

Wednesday, April 16

  • At 1:04 a.m., a suspicious was reportedly parked in a field drive near County Road E and 690th Avenue, River Falls. It wasn’t located.
  • Police were called about cows on the loose at 3:45 a.m. at W2738 Highway 72, Elmwood. The owner were able to round up the bad bovines and bring them home.
  • At 9 a.m., police responded to 1205th Street and 805th Avenue, River Falls, for a bank of mailboxes that had been knocked down. They located a truck and trailer nearby at a construction site; the driver said they likely backed into the mailboxes. They advised they would fix them.
  • Police received an illegal tire dumping complaint at 10:37 a.m. at W6690 150th, Bay City.
  • Officers and the ADRC conducted a welfare check at 10:57 a.m. at N1335 Pine St., Bay City.
  • At 12:15 p.m., police spoke to a restaurant owner about a theft from a waitress at N6240 Highway 65, Ellsworth. The owner said the waitress denied using gift cards but said she would pay him back. He was advised to contact police if he wanted to file a report.
  • At 12:45 p.m., a business owner called police with concerns of a male lurking near her store at W3512 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. She said someone had looked the man up and he had missed court dates. She didn’t want to give police any more information.
  • A possible scam was reported at 1:05 p.m. at W124 S. Second St., Spring Valley.
  • Police assisted EMS with a medical call at 3:37 p.m. at N3437 County Road C, Ellsworth.
  • Deputies were dispatched to a possible domestic at 4:17 p.m. at W12468 580th, Prescott. After speaking with both parties, police determined no domestic had occurred.
  • Police were notified of a highly intoxicated man wandering in a front yard at 10:46 p.m. at 410 First St., Plum City. EMS evaluated him and he was given a courtesy ride home.

 

Thursday, April 17

  • Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked on the roadside at 12:44 a.m. at County Road DD and Highway 10, Ellsworth. The driver was a utility worker in a personal vehicle working on a pipeline.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police at 3:20 a.m. at 1457 Wildcat Court.
  • Deputies assisted EMS at 4:10 a.m. at S111 Newman Ave., Spring Valley.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a runaway student at 10:52 a.m. at 388 W. Main St.
  • Police assisted EMS at 7:17 p.m. at W6416 County Road N, Beldenville.
  • Deputies and River Falls police responded to a vehicle in the ditch at 8:06 a.m. at Cemetery Road and Highway 65, River Falls. They located the driver at a local business. He was cited for operating after revocation.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with an underage house party at 11:16 p.m. at 2065 Pleasant Drive, Prescott.

 

Friday, April 18

  • Deputies assisted Allina EMS and RF police with a suicide attempt at 1:49 a.m. at a home in the 1300 block of South Main Street.
  • Police conducted a welfare check on a man who had not shown up to work for a couple of days at 7:30 a.m. at N8216 950th, River Falls. He was fine and had decided to quit.
  • Goats were on the lam at 11 a.m. at N7521 Highway 65, River Falls. The homeowner arrived and secure the animals.
  • At 11:45 a.m., a complainant at W6421 570th, Ellsworth, reported a horse in their yard. Attempts to escort it home were not successful. The owner came to retrieve it.
  • At 2:29 p.m., police spoke to a complainant about a property line dispute with a neighbor at W12351 848th, River Falls.
  • At 4:36 p.m., police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road at Highway 35 and 560th Street, Bay City. The car’s owner was hiking in the woods and said she would move the vehicle.
  • Police checked on a vehicle parked on the side of the road at 5:27 p.m. at Highway 72 and 330th Street, Elmwood. The owner was out fishing.
  • A stolen stop sign was reported at 6:04 p.m. at 720th Street and 690th Avenue, Beldenville. The subject was told to return the stop sign to the sheriff's office.
  • Police spoke with two parties about a trespassing complaint at 6:14 p.m. W887 110th, Plum City. A man was warned for trespassing; he agreed to call the property owner and speak with them.
  • Officers assisted EMS at 6:46 p.m. at W7375 170th, Hager City.
  • Police checked on a suspicious, unoccupied vehicle at 10:20 p.m. at the boat launch (N1299 825th, Hager City).

Saturday, April 19

  • Officers assisted RF police at 1:04 a.m. at Sixth Street and Cascade Avenue.
  • At 2 a.m., police performed a welfare check on a man sad about his dog’s passing at W8108 760th, River Falls. A neighbor said they’d check on him in the morning.
  • Police assisted at a custody exchange at 10:05 a.m. at N3470 Highway 63, Hager City.
  • A caller complained of protesters in the road at 11:12 a.m. at W3527 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. Police asked them to stand off the roadway. They were told to watch out for heavy traffic.
  • At 12:06 p.m., St. Croix County deputies asked police to be on the lookout for a grey Ford F150 with a juvenile driver, which police located at 890th Avenue and 250th Street, Spring Valley. Deputies stopped and secured the juvenile driver, then turned them over to St. Croix County.
  • A cow got loose at 1:25 p.m. at W12650 Highway 35, Prescott. The owner had someone go get it.
  • Deputies were dispatched to a possible domestic at 2:05 p.m. at W3261 County Road AA, Maiden Rock. A caretaker was hiking with a severe special needs female.
  • Police performed a welfare check at 3:21 p.m. at N4153 County Road S, Plum City. They said they were fine but having a tough day. The officer suggested some services.
  • At 3:22 p.m., a complainant reported an ongoing issue concerning four to five large dogs running into the road near Clark Street and May Avenue in Elmwood. The complainant said the dogs are aggressive. The owner said a fence is in the works; they were warned.
  • Police performed a welfare check on someone who took several pills at 6:42 p.m. at W7717 570th, Ellsworth. A safety plan was put into place.
  • At 7:05 p.m., a caller told police about a church fireworks show that would occur around 8-8:30 p.m. at N6450 530th, Beldenville.
  • The town chair was notified of a horse on the loose at 8:20 p.m. at 1050th and 1080th streets, Prescott.
  • At 9:07 p.m., a caller at Cenex (404 Omaha Ave., Elmwood) reported seeing a mother hitting their child. Police spoke to them both.

Sunday, April 20

  • At 3:59 a.m., deputies assisted River Falls police in searching for a missing person at 1450 S. Wasson Lane.
  • Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 11:26 a.m. at County Road QQ and Highway 10, Prescott. Two people were transported: one by ambulance and one by helicopter.
  • A loose horse was reported at 7:35 p.m. at N4175 1080th St., Prescott. The owner was working on finding a solution for the wayward animal.
