The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Aug. 25 through Sept. 1, 2025.
Monday, Aug. 25
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 12:17 p.m. at 501 W. Lucas Lane.
The township was notified of loose cattle at 6:08 p.m. at Highway 29 and 330th Street, Spring Valley.
Vandalism/writing in a Porta Potti was reported at 9:40 p.m. at Pepin and Fourth streets in Bay City.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 10 p.m. at 456 W. Main St.
Tuesday, Aug. 26
Officers assisted EMS at 7:11 a.m. at 107 W. Shaw Ave., Elmwood.
Police conducted a welfare check on a woman who made concerning statements to a coworker at 1:06 p.m. at W12996 648th, Prescott. She said the comments were taken out of context.
Deputies responded to a domestic at 1:39 p.m. at 106 Cherry Ave. W., Plum City. A woman was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
Police were notified of cattle in the roadway at 2:34 p.m. near 640th Avenue and County Road O, Ellsworth. The owner retrieved them.
Officers were dispatched to a harassment complaint at 5:57 p.m. at N7563 County Road CC, Spring Valley. The parties were out of state and advised to contact their local law enforcement.
A property owner was warned for not calling in a controlled burn at 7:21 p.m. at Highway 10 and 810th Street, Ellsworth.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 7:42 p.m. at 509 W. Mitchell St.
Police and a social worker responded at 9:18 p.m. to a Highway 63, Ellsworth, address for a person placed under court ordered emergency detention.
Deputies checked on suspicious vehicles at 9:32 p.m. at a business at W7740 520th, Ellsworth. Both were unoccupied and all seemed to be in order.
Deputies and River Falls police were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle complaint at 10:28 p.m. near N8642 1020th, River Falls. A driver was delivering items to a nearby house.
Wednesday, Aug. 27
Deputies assisted RF police with a warrant attempt at 12:37 a.m. at Hoffman Park (547 Hanson Drive).
Officers were dispatched to a suspicious activity call at 1:02 a.m. at Main Street and Highway 10, Plum City. Nothing was located.
Police conducted a welfare check at 7:42 a.m. at W5107 370th, Bay City.
At 8:14 a.m., police took a complaint of two people staying in an RV on private property that the owner now wanted trespassed at Highway 63 and 180th Avenue, Hager City. The people were working on getting the RV running.
Police responded to a domestic at 9:33 a.m. at W6748 450th, Ellsworth, where a man was threatening to kill himself. He said he had a gun and was going to be ready for the cops. He was taken into custody without incident.
Officers were dispatched at 12:15 p.m. to a camper at N1805 785th, Hager City where arguing could be heard. The parties denied arguing and said they were just talking loudly. They were told they needed to move their camper off the property.
A caller reported animals in the roadway at 1:16 p.m. near W8198 Highway 29, River Falls. None were located.
Deputies assisted Spring Valley police at 3:21 p.m. at S405 S. McKay Ave.
At 6:43 p.m., police took a report of an animal charging at walkers passing by N1435 810th, Hager City. The dog was loose in its own yard.
Police responded at 7:01 p.m. to a disorderly conduct call at N7848 535th, Spring Valley. Police entered the residence and arrested a woman for disorderly conduct, physical abuse of an elder and resisting.
Police conducted a welfare check at 8:14 p.m. at W3290 County Road G, Elmwood. Nothing of concern was noted.
At 8:45 p.m., a caller reported a woman earlier walking out of her woods at W5005 770th, Spring Valley. She gave the woman a ride home. That woman was arrested for a call involving physical abuse of an elder when police found her at her house.
Thursday, Aug. 28
A caller reported finding pigs on the road at 7:18 a.m. at N4962 County Road CC, Elmwood. The pigs were nowhere to be seen, on the road or in their pen.
A complainant reported a suspect in a crime contacting her at 8:28 a.m. at N7848 535th, Spring Valley. Police warned the suspect to cease contact.
Police responded to a disturbance/assault at 8:35 a.m. at N2112 County Road K, Hager City. The caller wanted the incident documented, nothing more.
At 9:22 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a complaint of an intoxicated woman walking on Highway 29 near Prescott. The woman said she was not suicidal and didn’t need any help. She was given a courtesy ride to her residence and released into the care of her boyfriend.
At 11:06 a.m., police took a fraud report involving a person at N6390 County Road N, Beldenville, depositing bad checks into their account, sending the money out in Bitcoin and a mental crisis.
Officers were informed of cattle in the road at 11:26 a.m. at N4962 County Road CC, Elmwood. The owner rustled them back into place.
Deputies assisted EMS at 1:12 p.m. at W3754 Highway 35, Maiden Rock.
A sex assault was reported at 1:37 p.m. at a rural county Road F address, River Falls.
Officers mediated a civil issue about a vehicle pick-up at 4 p.m. at W3290 County Road G, Elmwood.
Police responded to a business alarm at 4:26 p.m. at W3930 Highway 72, Ellsworth. It was the keyholders opening up for a trap shooting event.
Fraud with an Amazon account was reported at 4:53 p.m. at W12034 497th, Prescott.
At 6:09 p.m., officers learned a vehicle had struck several mailboxes at 604 S. Woodman St., Elmwood.
At 6:25 p.m., a complainant reported a juvenile riding a 3-wheeler and tearing up the road at County Road W and 740th Avenue, River Falls. The juvenile and parent were educated on ATV safety.
At 8 p.m., a caller reported dogs being aggressive in the roadway toward walkers at W8423 690th, River Falls. The owner was asked to be mindful of their animals.
Friday, Aug. 29
Police checked on people walking at 12:49 a.m. at 825th and 831st streets, Hager City. They declined assistance.
A caller reported finding a suspicious vehicle in their driveway at 5:10 a.m. at N972 545th, Bay City. It turned out to be a friend.
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a welfare check at 8:15 a.m. at 302 Lake St., Prescott. Police located cocaine.
Police conducted a welfare check on a vehicle parked on the side of the road at 8:41 a.m. at W4447 570th, Ellsworth. They were given directions back to Minnesota.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:29 a.m. at N6834 County Road E, River Falls. It belonged to the property caretaker.
Deputies conducted a welfare check at 3:45 p.m. at N5797 770th, Ellsworth. Both parties said there was no emergency.
A property owner was notified of an animal complaint at 4:13 p.m. at N7521 Highway 65, River Falls.
Deputies assisted EMS at 5:01 p.m. at W11572 570th, Prescott.
Police conducted a welfare check at 5:38 p.m. at N4119 400th, Ellsworth. They gathered information on an intoxicated person possibly driving to Montana.
Officers were informed of a woman placing traffic cones in the roadway at 9:22 p.m. at County Road OO and 480th Avenue, Hager City. The woman was not found, but the cones were removed by police.
Deputies assisted the fire department with a controlled burn at 11:19 p.m. at 120th Avenue and 440th Street, Maiden Rock. The landowner was advised of the proper channels for burning.
Saturday, Aug. 30
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 12:20 a.m. at 455 E. Wall St.
Possible trespassers were reported at 12:54 a.m. at W3541 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. No one was found.
Deputies checked on someone parked at the wayside at 1:21 a.m. at W7540 Highway 35, Hager City.
Police were asked to check on a man with a bike on the High Bridge. He was fixing a flat tire.
Officers responded to a civil matter regarding a vehicle that had been borrowed and damaged at 10:36 a.m. at N6008 County Road J, Ellsworth.
Deputies conducted a welfare check on someone possibly sleeping in a vehicle at 11:06 a.m. on Highway 35, Hager City. They were fine, just watching the trains.
Four black pigs were hightailing it down the road at 11:38 a.m. near County Road CC and Highway 72, Elmwood. They were not located.
Officers assisted EMS at 12:18 p.m. at W2781 410th, Maiden Rock.
Police received a noise complaint about loud music at 7:35 p.m. at N7732 283rd, Spring Valley. They were informed of the county’s noise ordinance.
A suspicious person was reported at 7:41 p.m. at County Road BB and Highway 29, Spring Valley.
Officers responded to a domestic at 9:36 p.m. at N4779 1065th, Prescott. The parties were separated for the night.
Sunday, Aug. 31
Officers responded to a noise/driving complaint at 3:04 a.m. at N4883 1180th, Prescott. The vehicle wasn’t located.
At 7:04 a.m., police attempted to find a suspect wanted for battery and a warrant at 155 E. Susan St., Ellsworth. He was spotted later that afternoon when he ran from Ellsworth police. He was located and arrested.
Police conducted a welfare check at 11:25 a.m. at W8328 430th, Ellsworth. A person was given a courtesy ride to Prescott PD to wait for a ride.
At 2:30 p.m., police received a call about people not knowing what they were doing while trying to launch a sailboat from W6490 Lake Pepin Blvd., Bay City. Police found at 15-foot unregistered sailboat at the dock but no people.
At 5:16 p.m., a man jumped into the road in front of police at 1536 Cemetery Road, River Falls. The man ran away.
Officers responded to a dispute at 6:30 p.m. at N6008 County Road J, Ellsworth. All parties stated it was a misunderstanding.
Police were dispatched for an unwanted subject at 7:17 p.m. at W6423 Main St., Bay City. The person was working on getting a ride home.
A drunk person walking home was reported at 8:15 p.m. at N673 825th, Hager City. He was not located.
Deputies assisted RF police at 8:19 p.m. at 1450 S. Wasson Lane.
Officers were dispatched to a renter/landlord dispute at 9:01 p.m. at W6423 Main St., Bay City. The complainant was advised they could not force the landlord to let her in, that it was a civil matter.
A suspicious person was reported at 10:49 p.m. at W10326 880th, River Falls. They were gone when police arrived.
Police were dispatched to a suspicious activity call at 11:43 p.m. at N7921 535th, Spring Valley. They were fishing on the Rush River.
Monday, Sept. 1
Officers assisted EMS at 3:31 a.m. at 360 Lawrence St., Prescott.
Deputies assisted EMS at 4:16 a.m. at W3540 Lakeview Ave., Maiden Rock.
A man was arrested for OWI-sixth when he attempted to pick someone up at 8:03 a.m. at the Pierce County Jail.
Police assisted EMS with a medical at 8:08 a.m. at W1222 355th, Plum City.
Police stood by to keep the peace at a landlord dispute at 8:57 a.m. at W6423 Main St., Bay City.
Officers responded to a burglary alarm at 8:58 a.m. at 557 Vincent Lane, Ellsworth. All was secure.
Police were notified of a vehicle backed into trees at a closed park at 9:04 a.m. at W6515 Market St., Bay City. The vehicle may have struck a gate going into the park.
