The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff's Office Feb. 10-18.

Monday, Feb. 10

  • Deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash without injury at 11:06 a.m. at county roads J and N in Beldenville.
  • Officers took a theft report at 11:24 a.m. at W2801 230th, Maiden Rock.
  • At 11:40 a.m., a juvenile was detained for a mental health hold after attempting suicide at a County Road CC, Spring Valley, address.
  • Police attempted a welfare check at 2:01 p.m. at N6270 1323rd, Prescott. They knocked on the door several times, but no one appeared to be home.
  • A woman reported a civil matter regarding a business at 3:02 p.m. at N6180 745th, Ellsworth. This business has been investigated before.
  • At 7:18 p.m., the FAA reported a green laser pointing at plane near Highway 29, Prescott. It was not located.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police in locating a man at 9:24 p.m. at 303 S. Main St. He was arrested for a Department of Corrections warrant and RFPD charges.
  • Officers were dispatched to a faulty alarm at 11:27 p.m. at W6324 Highway 35, Bay City for the sixth time in six months. A warning letter has been mailed.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 11

  • A suspicious vehicle was reported at 2:02 a.m. at 150th Street and 330th Avenue, Plum City. The occupant was waiting to go coyote hunting.
  • Officers assisted EMS with a medical at 8:01 a.m. at W1762 710th, Spring Valley.
  • Police conducted a welfare check at 1:09 p.m. at W6092 870th, River Falls. A person went with family to a medical facility.
  • Deputies assisted with traffic control at the scene of a house fire at 1:25 p.m. at N7984 870th, River Falls.
  • Police conducted a welfare check at 2:50 p.m. at W6364 Highway 35, Bay City.
  • At 3:02 p.m., a resident at W9675 Cemetery Road, River Falls, complained of vehicles parking in front of his residence during school pickup time. The complaint was passed onto RFPD.
  • Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at 5:19 p.m. at highways 10 and 63, Ellsworth.
  • At 8:19 p.m., an anonymous caller reported suspicions of possible animal and drug abuse at a residence in the 100 block of North Main Street, Elmwood. Deputies passed the information onto Elmwood police.
  • Police were dispatched to a civil issue at 9:24 p.m. at 230 E. Race Ave., Elmwood. The complainant was advised to contact their attorney about a small claims case.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 12

  • Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash with injury and entrapment at 1:47 a.m. at Highway 63 and County Road Y, Spring Valley. LifeLink III flew the driver to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
  • Police checked on a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road at 9:34 a.m. at Highway 65 and 770th Avenue, River Falls. A woman said she’d run out of gas. During a consent search, police located drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.
  • Police conducted a welfare check at 10:15 a.m. at W7871 830th, River Falls.
  • The township was notified of water/ice over the road at 10:51 a.m. at 465th and 455th avenues, Ellsworth.
  • Officers assisted EMS with a medical at 11:25 a.m. at N8483 County Road W, River Falls.
  • Police responded to a one-vehicle slide-in at 1:58 p.m. at Highway 35 and 1050th Street, Prescott. The driver left prior to receiving citations; the vehicle was towed.
  • Deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash without injury at 5:30 p.m. at Highway 65 and County Road J, Beldenville. The driver was not on the scene but called in. Melstrom’s towed the vehicle. The driver was cited for operating without insurance.
  • At 6:14 p.m., police received information about a one-vehicle crash that occurred earlier in the day at 890th Avenue and County Road BB, Baldwin.
  • At 8:17 p.m., police responded to a vehicle in the ditch at Highway 65 and 820th, River Falls. The driver was able to remove the vehicle, which had no visible damage. The driver was cited for passing in a no-passing zone and their parents were notified.
  • Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash at 1Depu0:14 p.m. at W10733 Highway 35, Prescott. There were no injuries.
  • Officers received notification of a business alarm at 10:25 p.m. at W6324 Highway 35, Bay City.

 

Thursday, Feb. 13

  • Police received notification of a business alarm at 7:48 a.m. at N1620 County Road VV, Hager City. It was a false alarm.
  • Deputies assisted Pierce County Public Health with a home inspection at 7:52 a.m. at N3739 Highway 35, Prescott.
  • Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash without injury at 8:50 a.m. at Highway 63 and 150th Avenue, Hager City.
  • Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash with property damage at 11:10 a.m. at County Road B and 770th Avenue, Spring Valley.
  • Officers took a harassment complaint at 1:22 p.m. at W7037 135th, Bay City.
  • At 2:29 p.m., police assisted Ellsworth police with a stolen vehicle and pursuit at 107 County Road C. The vehicle crashed and the suspect was apprehended and transported by EMS.
  • At 3:51 p.m., police spoke with a complainant regarding shooting guns on their property at N5575 County Road J, Ellsworth.
  • Deputies were dispatched to a medical assist at 4:58 p.m. at N1182 570th, Bay City.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with a domestic incident at 5:47 p.m. at 170 Tower Road.
  • Officers responded to a fraud complaint at 6:41 p.m. at 323 W. Pierce Ave., Elmwood.
  • Deputies conducted a welfare check at 7:26 p.m. at N2494 620th, Bay City.
  • Police were dispatched to an animal complaint at 10:03 p.m. at 219 First St., Plum City.

 

Friday, Feb. 14

  • During a traffic stop for speeding at 2:15 p.m. at County Road EE and Highway 35, Bay City, a driver was arrested for OWI-second, possessing schedule 1 drugs, and possession of cocaine.
  • Deputies and Ellsworth police were dispatched to a home alarm at 3 a.m. at N5319 County Road O, River Falls. Nothing was found.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with an arrest at 9:32 a.m. at 1200 Henry St.
  • Police were asked to perform a welfare check at 10:22 a.m. at N729 825th, Hager City, where a man made suicidal comments before leaving the residence. He returned and a safety plan was set up.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police in looking for a wanted subject at 11:38 a.m. at 229 W. Main St.
  • At 1:48 p.m., police were notified of a pole that had been damaged by a vehicle at County Road CC and 10th Avenue, Stockholm. The vehicle was not on the scene.
  • Police were called to a vehicle slide-in at 3:53 p.m. at county roads F and FF, River Falls. The driver was cited for operate without valid license and the vehicle tugged out by a tow.
  • A restraining order violation was reported at 4:40 p.m. at W7960 370th, Ellsworth. Police attempted to reach the suspect via phone.
  • Police were dispatched to a one-vehicle slide-in at 6:20 p.m. at Highway 35 and 370th Avenue, Prescott. The driver was able to get out before they arrived.
  • Officers responded to a barking dog complaint at 11:28 p.m. at W8072 185th, Hager City. The complainant wanted the incident documented.

 

Saturday, Feb. 15

  • Police conducted a welfare check on a woman who made concerning statements at 12:10 a.m. at N6700 720th, Beldenville. She said she had no plans to harm herself.
  • A loose cow was apprehended gallivanting at 9:40 a.m. at County Road CC and 230th Avenue, Maiden Rock. The owner secured the loose bovine.
  • At 2:26 p.m., police spoke to multiple people about a truck that had backed into another vehicle the previous evening at W2225 Highway 29, Spring Valley. No damage occurred.
  • Police responded to a business alarm at 2:42 p.m. at S320 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. Employees had set it off by mistake.
  • At 3:12 p.m., a caller reported damage done to the new parking lot at Bethel Covenant Church (W8405 County Road KK, Ellsworth) by a vehicle doing donuts. She provided a description of the vehicle responsible for the damage.
  • Cows were out on the roadway at 6:49 p.m. at N5427 County Road S, Elmwood. The owner was able to secure them before officers arrived.
  • Deputies and Wisconsin State Patrol were dispatched at 7:50 p.m. to W7659 Highway 35, Hager City, for a disorderly person. The parties agreed to separate for the evening.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with an inmate at 9:14 p.m. at Pierce County Jail.

 

Sunday, Feb. 16

  • At 12:33 a.m., police located a disabled vehicle at Highway 35 and 1100th Street, Prescott. The driver was sleeping in the vehicle. He was told to go sleep at home.
  • Deputies and RF police were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash at 12:58 a.m. at Highway 65 and 800th Avenue, River Falls.
  • Police responded at 8:50 a.m. to W11934 769th, River Falls, for a disorderly subject who made self-harm comments. Police contacted Northwest Connections.
  • Officers were dispatched to a burglary alarm at 9:27 a.m. at N2921 620th, Bay City. No one was around and the buildings appeared secure.
  • At 10:38 a.m., police responded to a vehicle stuck in a snowdrift in the middle of the road at 650th Avenue and 290th Street, Elmwood. Two vehicles were stuck and police assisted in removing one of them.
  • At 6:56 p.m., a caller reported finding chickens in the roadway at W5372 County Road V, Bay City, and said they’d keep them overnight, then attempt to find the owners.
  • Deputies assisted Wisconsin State Patrol with a traffic stop at 7:10 p.m. at Highway 65 and 820th Street, River Falls. The driver was arrested for OWI.

 

Monday, Feb. 17

  • Police spoke to a man at 12:55 p.m. at N7420 County Road O, River Falls, regarding people who come up the driveway and miss the neighbors’ place. Police suggested some solutions.
  • Officers assisted EMS at 3:11 p.m. at N8102 Highway 65, River Falls.
  • Police conducted a welfare check on someone who had not been heard from in a few days at 3:38 p.m. at N5692 800th, Ellsworth. The person was fine and said the phone had stopped working.
  • Deputies were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash at 8:02 p.m. at 710th Street and 410th Avenue, Ellsworth. EMS transported two people to the hospital with minor injuries.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 18

  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police and Ellsworth Area Ambulance at 1:08 a.m. at 463 E. Wall St.
  • Police arrested a man for a contempt warrant at 7:04 a.m. at N4312 750th, Ellsworth.
