Pierce County Sheriff’s Office reports: Feb. 18-24, 2025

The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Feb. 18-24.
Tuesday, Feb. 18
Police dispatched an injured deer at 8:03 a.m. at W2738 Highway 72, Elmwood.
At 10:33 a.m., police performed a welfare check at N1381 County Road EE, Bay City.
Police served a temporary restraining order at 12:56 p.m. at 355 W. Overlook Drive.
At 1:20 p.m., deputies assisted EMS with a senior citizen who fell at S504 Newman Ave., Spring Valley.
Deputies assisted EMS at a medical episode at 2:13 p.m. at N8224 950th, River Falls.
At 4:03 p.m., officers took a report of snowmobiles riding on trails at N6666 750th, Beldenville, that the owner didn’t think should be open. The recreation deputy informed him the trails were open.
At 4:23 p.m., police came upon a large group of deer feeding in a backyard at N8435 770th, River Falls. Information about illegal feeding was passed onto the DNR after speaking to the homeowner.
Deputies assisted Allina EMS with a medical at 7:55 p.m. at N8224 950th, River Falls.
Two missing white livestock guardian dogs were reported at 8:04 p.m. at N3441 County Road C, Ellsworth.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 8:28 p.m. at 325 W. Main St.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth EMS at 9:09 p.m. at W7802 490th, Ellsworth.
Wednesday, Feb. 19
Officers were dispatched to a suspicious person complaint at 10:57 a.m. at N1805 785th, Hager City. The man was located elsewhere; he was paranoid and believed he was being followed.
Police responded to a vehicle in the ditch at 12:15 p.m. at 690th Avenue and 450th Street, Beldenville. The vehicle had to be towed. The owner was cited for failure to report a motor vehicle accident.
Deputies provided mutual aid to DNR wardens at the Mississippi River in Maiden Rock at 2:11 p.m. They spoke to people suspected of stealing batteries, but the people didn’t have them.
At 5:27 p.m., deputies assisted Prescott police in searching a building for a man who had broken in at 915 Canton St.
A missing person was reported at 9:40 p.m. at W7709 170th, Hager City.
At 10:02 p.m., police spoke with a caller at N6612 Highway 65, Beldenville, about a civil issue. He was advised to call an attorney.
Thursday, Feb. 20
Police responded to a one-vehicle crash with injury at 6:26 a.m. at County Road F and 680th Avenue, Prescott. EMS transported the driver to the hospital.
Officers were dispatched to a business alarm at 10:34 a.m. at N1620 County Road VV, Hager City. A delivery driver had accidentally set it off.
Deputies assisted EMS at 10:51 a.m. at W5271 250th, Bay City, after a fall alarm sounded.
At 12:22 p.m., a caller on 830th Street (Hager City) reported his computer had been hacked and he provided the scammers with gift card information.
At 1:47 p.m., a caller on 130th Avenue (Maiden Rock) reported being scammed out of a large amount of money after sharing his personal information.
Deputies were dispatched to a suicide attempt at 4:38 p.m. at a County Road K, Ellsworth, address. The man was taken to an inpatient facility after being placed on a mental health emergency detention.
At 6;40 p.m., a resident at W7717 150th, Hager City, reported a suspicious man who had stopped by his residence. He wasn’t located.
Friday, Feb. 21
Officers responded to an unattended crash at 4:52 a.m. at N6654 County Road J, Beldenville. The driver was issued multiple citations for leaving the scene of a crash, hit and run property adjacent to highway, open intoxicants and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Deputies assisted River Falls police at 7 a.m. at Main Street and Cascade Avenue.
At 9:18 a.m., a caller told police they would be target shooting at W2681 Highway 29, Spring Valley.
At 11:12 a.m., a caller reported horses running loose off the roadway at county roads CC and S, Maiden Rock.
Deputies responded to a possible domestic at 4:50 p.m. at N5074 410th, Ellsworth. Both parties agreed to separate for the night.
Officers were called to an animal dispute at 8:47 p.m. at N8034 920th, River Falls. Residents in two different departments were arguing over the ownership of a cat. They were advised it was a civil matter.
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a possible theft at 11:01 p.m. at 1200 Henry St.
Officers were dispatched to a fireworks complaint at 11:03 p.m. at County Road CC and Highway 29, Spring Valley. None were seen nor heard.
Deputies assisted RF police at 11:54 p.m. at Main Street and Cascade Avenue.
Saturday, Feb. 22
Deputies assisted EMS with a medical call at 12:04 a.m. at N8034 920th, River Falls.
Officers responded to a business alarm at 12:26 a.m. at 1003 First St., Plum City. An open door was located and the building was cleared. Nothing was found.
At 6:37 a.m., police checked on a vacant property when they saw lights on at N2594 770th, Hager City. Everything was secure.
Police attempted a welfare check at 10:59 a.m. at 431 W. Pierce Ave., Elmwood, but the subject wasn’t home.
At 12:47 p.m., a resident reported a sewage leak smell near County Road O and 710th Avenue, River Falls.
Police responded at 12:51 p.m. to a cat theft complaint at N8034 920th, River Falls. The complainant confirmed the cat was not hers. All parties agreed with the outcome.
A lost dog was reported at 3:12 p.m. at N7173 1250th, River Falls.
Police assisted EMS at a medical emergency at 7 p.m. at Sugars (N1620 County Road VV, Hager City).
Officers responded to a domestic argument at 8:12 p.m. at N8090 620th, Beldenville. Both parties separated for the night.
Sunday, Feb. 23
At 12:33 a.m., police received a report about a bobcat that had been shot at County Road C and 250th Avenue, Bay City.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a bar patron who threw a glass at 1:07 a.m. at 305 W. Main St.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 2:05 a.m. at 106 Cherry Ave., Plum City. Both parties agreed to stay apart for the night.
Police conducted a welfare check on a person walking at 3:02 a.m. near Maple Street and Burton Circle in Ellsworth. He said he was walking home from the jail.
Deputies were dispatched to a domestic at 5:44 a.m. at W3162 650th, Spring Valley. It turned out to be a misunderstanding and the parties were fine together.
At 9:46 a.m., police located and arrested a man on a felony probation warrant at W7871 830th, River Falls. He was also arrested for possession of fentanyl, possess drug paraphernalia, and theft by false representation. Charges for a second man were forwarded to the district attorney’s office, including intimidating a victim.
At 10:06 a.m., a man reported finding a concerning item at the end of his driveway at W12039 508th, Prescott.
Deputies responded to a complaint at 11:06 a.m. of a man who possibly shot a gun from his vehicle near W4122 650th, Beldenville. Police spoke to the hunting party and all were in compliance.
At 12:47 p.m., a complainant reported dogs running on his property at N3269 875th, Hager City. The owner was warned and told to keep the dogs contained.
Police conducted a welfare check on a man at 2:33 p.m. at N7420 County Road O, River Falls. The man was fine.
Deputies responded to a mental health emergency at 4:54 p.m. at a home in the 600 block of Foote Avenue in Spring Valley. A safety plan was put into place. At 7:20 p.m., he was located near Church Avenue and Highway 29 and transported to Regina Hospital in Hastings, Minn.
Officers were dispatched to assist the DNR with a call at 6:27 p.m. Someone had located a pile of dead fish at County Road EE and 210th Avenue, Bay City.
A caller reported a suspicious vehicle at 8:55 p.m. at W7902 290th, Hager City. Nothing was found.
Monday, Feb. 24
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a disorderly subject at 4:42 a.m. at 305 W. Main St.
