The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff's Office Feb. 24 through March 2.

Monday, Feb. 24

  • At 8:01 a.m., police responded to a juvenile walking down the road with their parent following at County Road J and 570th Avenue in Beldenville. The juvenile was refusing to get on the school bus on time. They were taken to school.
  • Police conducted a welfare check at 10:46 a.m. at 405 S. Wasson Lane.
  • At 12:47 p.m., police performed a welfare check on a man upset he wasn’t admitted to the hospital in the 600 block of Foote Avenue, Spring Valley. His guardian spoke with his social worker and declined further law enforcement response.
  • At 1:11 p.m., police received a call from someone stuck in an elevator at 375 Wild Rose Ave., River Falls. Facilities personnel were able to open the door to get them out.
  • At 3:45 p.m., officers spoke to a caller who had concerns about unknown people coming onto her property at W2801 230th, Maiden Rock. They were told to call police at the time they see anything suspicious.
  • Police checked on a man at 6:37 p.m. at a home in the 600 block of Foote Avenue, Spring Valley, who made a concerning post on Facebook. He said he wasn’t suicidal and just wanted to sleep.
  • At 7:15 p.m., a vehicle struck a boulder in the roadway at Highway 29 and 170th Street, Spring Valley. The driver wasn’t injured, but the vehicle had to be towed.
  • At 7:31 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a home on 815th Street in Hager City for a person making suicidal threats. Northwest Connections created a safety plan for them.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 9:35 p.m. at 312 Industrial Road.
  • Officers assisted with a civil standby at 10:45 p.m. at W6856 490th, Ellsworth.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 25

  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with an unwanted/suspicious person at 2:59 a.m. at 318 W. Grove St.
  • Officers responded to a business alarm at 3:03 a.m. at 312 W. Industrial Way, Ellsworth. It was a faulty alarm.
  • Deputies and Prescott police were dispatched to a suspicious person and possible burglary in progress at 3:51 a.m. at W12034 497th, Prescott. Everything seemed in order.
  • Deputies assisted Wisconsin State Patrol with a one-vehicle rollover at 5:50 a.m. at Highway 35 and 1050th Street, Prescott.
  • At 12:02 p.m., police responded to a damaged driveway complaint at W9573 690th, River Falls. Both parties were given information about obtaining a restraining order.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 1:06 p.m. at Bay and Main streets.
  • At 1:15 p.m., a caller complained of jake-braking issues at County Road CC and Highway 29 in Spring Valley. Spring Valley police confirmed there are no jake-braking signs in that area.
  • At 1:54 p.m., a caller reported receiving a suspicious credit card in the mail at W5142 Highway 63, Spring Valley.
  • Police took a theft complaint at 3:37 p.m. at N5339 515th, Ellsworth.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police with a warrant arrest at 7:58 p.m. at 405 S. Wasson Lane.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a runaway juvenile at 9:38 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of North Maple Street.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 26

  • Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash without injuries at 5:21 a.m. at Highway 72 and 330th Street, Elmwood.
  • At 8:32 a.m., police spoke to multiple neighbors regarding trespassing on private land at N4697 1150th, Prescott. The neighbor said they went onto the property to locate multiple deer carcasses that should not be there.
  • At 9:20 a.m., police took a report of speeding semis from a local farm at N6926 County Road CC, Spring Valley. They were warned for speeding.
  • Cattle were on the loose at 2:13 p.m. at N5968 County Road CC, Elmwood. The highway department was able to take care of the issue.
  • At 2:52 p.m., deputies assisted the DNR in locating marijuana during contact with two men at the boat launch at N1705 860th, Hager City. They were both cited for possess drug paraphernalia.
  • At 6:02 p.m., a complainant reported a fence struck by a vehicle at N6279 740th, Beldenville. He didn’t witness the incident.

 

Thursday, Feb. 27

  • Deputies assisted Red Wing EMS with a possible medical at 2:48 a.m. at W6396 Highway 35, Bay City.
  • Police responded to an animal complaint at 10 a.m. at W7409 Highway 65, Beldenville. Nothing was located.
  • At 12:49 p.m., a resident at N6926 County Road CC, Spring Valley, complained of trucks speeding and excessive engine braking. Local dairy farms and trucking companies were advised. Extra patrol was requested.
  • Deputies assisted Lund Fire Department with a house fire at 9:54 p.m. at N1569 452nd, Maiden Rock.

 

Friday, Feb. 28

  • At 3:07 a.m., police saw a man shining a flashlight around a parking lot at N1090 825th, Hager City. He was picking up trash; he lives and works there.
  • At 9:02 a.m., a caller complained of a political sign still posted in a yard at W11409 Highway 35, Prescott. The homeowner was advised of the complaint.
  • Police responded at 2 p.m. to a cows in the roadway complaint at N5801 610th, Ellsworth. The cows were corralled back home.
  • Officers located dogs in the road at 7:17 p.m. at County Road V and 730th Street, Hager City. Police stayed with them until the owner came to get them.
  • At 8:09 p.m., a man was arrested for OWI-ninth, operating after revocation (alcohol related), failure to install an ignition interlock device and transported to jail.

 

Saturday, March 1

  • Deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident at 1:39 a.m. at 917 W. Winter Ave., Elmwood. A man was arrested for domestic-related charges.
  • At 10:51 a.m., police were called about a disagreement involving a key to the property where the complainant was staying at N4950 430th, Ellsworth. The key was returned to her.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with a vehicle search at 12:14 p.m. at Kinnickinnic and Flora streets.
  • Police were called at 1:31 p.m. to speak to a man at W6686 340th, Ellsworth, refusing to go to the hospital for treatment. He agreed to take a ride from the sheriff’s office to Red Wing Mayo.
  • At 4:28 p.m., a caller wanted to document suspicious vehicles at W7194 450th, Ellsworth. She didn’t want any further action; officers provided her with additional resources regarding the property.
  • At 5:31 p.m., a caller reported an abandoned vehicle stuck in his driveway at N3050 Highway 63, Hager City. The vehicle was towed.
  • At 9:10 p.m., a caller reported juveniles throwing toilet paper at a tree at N8524 1220th, River Falls. The property owner said they’d handle it themselves.
  • A caller reported an intoxicated person at 10:31 p.m. at S211 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. They were given a courtesy ride to a nearby friend’s house.
  • A caller reported an unwanted subject at 11:44 p.m. at 112 N. Main St., Elmwood. The man left when she called police.

 

Sunday, March 2

  • Deputies assisted River Falls police in locating a suspect from a domestic at 4:02 a.m. at 504 W. Division St.
  • Officers responded to a business alarm at 4:26 a.m. at 1211 W. Winter Ave., Elmwood. The business and surrounding area appeared to be fine.
  • At 11:32 a.m., police located a traffic sign damaged by wind at Highway 35 and a County Road, Prescott.
  • Police responded to a grass fire at 12:45 p.m. at N3241 County Road S, Plum City. They provided traffic control.
  • At 1:17 p.m., a complainant reported finding a window that appeared to have been damaged by a pellet gun at W8680 570th, Ellsworth.
  • Croix County notified deputies of a possible domestic at 1:44 p.m. at W3018 850th Ave., Spring Valley. People were arrested and brought to St. Croix County Jail.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls Fire with a grass fire at 1:51 p.m. at W9463 690th, River Falls.
  • At 9:36 p.m., a caller reported a truck parked in the middle of the road at county roads N and J in Beldenville. A man was passed out in the driver’s seat. He was arrested for OWI-second and going armed with a firearm while intoxicated.
