The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff's Office Jan. 13-21.
Monday, Jan. 13
At 10:20 a.m. police received a complaint of a dead coyote that was propped up to look alive at Highway 63 and 830th Street, Hager City. Police removed the animal from the roadway.
At 10:34 a.m., officers checked on a woman sleeping in her car at N1299 825th, Hager City. She was waiting to go to her boyfriend’s residence and didn’t need assistance.
Police responded to a coyote hunter trespassing complaint at 12:37 p.m. at W3620 70th, Maiden Rock.
A man called about a suspicious phone call he received at 12:39 p.m. at W7598 Highway 10, Ellsworth. A man was trying to buy tires but the transaction seemed fraudulent.
Police were notified at 2:39 p.m. about a man throwing snowballs at cars at Highway 35 and 530th Street, Bay City. He told police he was just trying to walk to Maiden Rock. He was told to stop throwing snowballs or he’d be arrested.
Police conducted a welfare check on a man walking at 5:25 p.m. at W4857 Highway 35, Bay City. He was given a ride to Red Wing Mayo.
Officers located an open gate at 10:41 p.m. at N1563 Highway 63, Hager City. Nothing was found.
Tuesday, Jan. 14
Police assisted RF police with a traffic stop at 3:08 a.m. at Main Street and Cemetery Road.
Deputies assisted RF police with a welfare check at 8:25 a.m. at 1017 E. Cascade Ave.
Police responded to an animal complaint at 8:42 a.m. at W6479 430th, Ellsworth.
Deputies were dispatched to an animal complaint at 8:51 a.m. at W5195 690th, Beldenville.
Officers assisted EMS with a medical call at 10:36 a.m. at N7968 Highway 63, Spring Valley.
Police conducted a welfare check on a man walking at 11:16 a.m. at W5878 Highway 35, Bay City. He was fine and wished to continue walking. He denied needing information no shelters or emergency resources. He eventually consented to a courtesy ride.
Deputies responded to a business alarm at 11:30 a.m. at N1620 County Road VV, Hager City. Nothing was found out of place.
At 1:12 p.m., police took a complaint of items missing from a mailbox at N3202 840th, Hager City.
Suspicious activity was reported at 9:14 p.m. at W7145 148th, Bay City. Nothing was found.
At 9:55 p.m., police took a report of juveniles living in possible hazardous conditions at a home in the 300 block of West Winter Avenue in Elmwood.
Wednesday, Jan. 15
A missing dog was reported at 12:10 a.m. atW7932 150th, Hager City.
At 3:29 a.m., police provided a person a courtesy ride from the jail to the David Motel.
Deputies responded to a home alarm at 9:26 a.m. at W10652 566th, Prescott. Everything was secure and there were no tracks in the snow.
Police assisted EMS at 11:36 a.m. at N3563 County Road OO, Hager City.
At 11:40 a.m., police investigated a shooting complaint with the DNR at W7182 290th, Ellsworth. People were informed of the complaint.
At 2:57 p.m., a dealership sent police to N5967 670th, Ellsworth, for a vehicle that was two weeks past due. A woman told police it was on the way to the dealership with one of her children.
Two vehicles were found in the ditch at 8:22 p.m. at Highway 65 and County Road J, Beldenville. The operators were able to remove the vehicles.
Deputies assisted RF police with a traffic stop at 9:24 p.m. at Main and Division streets.
Thursday, Jan. 16
Police responded to a medical call about someone having a possible stroke at 8:45 a.m. at W6371 Main St., Bay City. Red Wing EMS arrived on the scene.
A suspicious person was reported at 10:14 a.m. at Highway 35 and County Road A, Maiden Rock. No one was found.
Officers assisted EMS at 1:45 p.m. at N8148 1015th, River Falls.
A restraining order violation was reported at 2:40 p.m. at W7960 370th, Ellsworth.
Police responded at 4 p.m. to 301 Cherry Ave. W., Plum City, for a disorderly resident. A safety plan was put into place.
Deputies were dispatched to a medical call at 5:53 p.m. at N520 County Road S, Maiden Rock. A safety plan was put into place.
Police arrested a woman for a warrant at 7:05 p.m. at 540 W. Cairns St., Ellsworth.
At 9:49 p.m., police observed a damaged mailbox at N8403 County Road Y, Spring Valley. The owner didn’t wish to report it.
At 11:32 p.m., a woman called police to report a bond violation on a man leaving her residence at N4883 County Road OO, Hager City. The man was found but not arrested; the woman was later arrested on multiple charges.
Friday, Jan. 17
At 10:50 a.m., police found a large, white, fluffy dog on the roadway at County Road O and 710th Avenue, River Falls.
At 1:02 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle at W3959 876th, Spring Valley. He said he’d notify police if the vehicle returned.
Police were called at 1:31 p.m. to N1681 815th, Hager City for a standby. A man collected his belongings without issue before police arrived.
Police assisted with a medical call at 2:08 p.m. at W1173 Maryann St., Spring Valley.
At 2:40 p.m., police performed a welfare check for Goodhue County due to a 911 hangup call at W7275 155th, Bay City. No contact could be made.
At 3:13 p.m., police responded to a neighbor issue at W4419 Highway 29, Spring Valley. A man was provided with some options.
A man collapsed at 9:19 p.m. at S211 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. The man denied EMS or assistance.
Police responded at 9:55 p.m. to N1189 451st, Maiden Rock, for a 911 call. They found an intoxicated man on the floor. The neighbors were with him; he denied EMS.
Saturday, Jan. 18
At 3:03 p.m., a caller reported seeing two suspicious trucks on the property Jan. 12 at W999 430th, Plum City. No license plates were caught on camera.
At 4:17 p.m., a caller reported concerns that a dog wasn’t receiving proper care at N6170 1000th, Ellsworth. The dog had water; no one appeared to be home.
At 4:36 p.m., police spoke to a man who had been going onto property at W4321 120th, Maiden Rock, without permission. They were advised of a land ownership change and advised they needed to obtain new permission.
At 10:49 p.m., a complainant reported a man walking on the road in dark clothing near Highway 35 and 830th Street, Hager City. No one was found.
Sunday, Jan. 19
Police were dispatched to a home alarm at 7:53 a.m. at N6372 1317th, Prescott. It was a false alarm.
At 10:59 a.m., a child reported possibly seeing a man with a gun in the backyard at N5604 610th, Ellsworth. No tracks or evidence were found.
At 3:14 p.m., a caller reported suspicious activity that had occurred the day before at W4741 Highway 35, Maiden Rock.
At 4:43 p.m., a complainant reported dogs outside in the cold at W9490 300th, Hager City. None were seen outside.
Deputies and RF police responded at 6:21 p.m. to N8855 1031st, River Falls, for a medical emergency.
At 6:56 p.m., police conducted a welfare check on a woman’s husband at W6911 210th, Bay City. He was caring for farm animals.
At 9:24 p.m., police checked on an occupied vehicle on the side of the road at 385th Street and County Road A, Maiden Rock. They were waiting for a friend and continued on.
Monday, Jan. 20
Police responded at 2:39 a.m. to N5105 635th, Prescott, for an assault. A man was arrested for strangulation and suffocation and disorderly conduct.
At 9:05 a.m., a woman reported seeing two men walking who were underdressed for the weather at County Road ZZ and 310th Avenue, Arkansaw. They were not located.
At 11:57 a.m., a man at N7420 County Road O, River Falls, reported his neighbor’s dog on his property. The neighbor said the dog never left his property and had GPS tracking to prove it. The caller also reported concerns about a light shining toward him, which the neighbor denied.
A man fell in a driveway at 1:01 p.m. at N8192 975th, River Falls. EMS moved the man indoors.
At 2:58 p.m., police checked on an occupied vehicle parked at 770th Avenue and 850th Street, River Falls. A man was performing PI work.
At 7:07 p.m., a caller reported a female underdressed for the weather in the middle of the road at Riverview Drive and Doug Blegen Drive in Spring Valley. The woman was waiting for a ride.
Tuesday, Jan. 21
Police responded to a medical at 7:31 a.m. at N2298 County Road A, Maiden Rock.
At 8:31 a.m., officers spoke to a man about a civil matter involving work being done on a truck at N8216 950th, River Falls.
