The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office July 14-20, 2025.

Monday, July 14

  • Police responded at 9:16 a.m. to N7789 State Road 65 for a suspicious man who may have been injured. He was arrested for possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia.
  • A suspiciously parked vehicle was reported at 10:36 a.m. at W12194 846th, River Falls. The owner removed the vehicle.
  • Officers were dispatched to a cat custody exchange at 2:10 p.m. at N5651 450th, Ellsworth. The owner took his cat and was advised the property owners did not want him on the property again.
  • Police stood by while a man gathered his belongings at 2:22 p.m. at W11265 Highway 10, Prescott. Three firearms were collected per court order and stored for safekeeping.
  • At 2:32 p.m., a woman at 412 Cherry Ave. W., Plum City, reported providing personal information to someone she thought was from Verizon. She had already alerted her banks and other accounts.
  • At 4:05 p.m., police took a report of a civil dispute at 611 First St., Plum City.
  • At 4:41 p.m., a woman reported people harassing her by driving past the residence at N4335 1050th, Prescott. She believed it was due to an ongoing civil court case.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police at 9:45 p.m. at 325 Dakota St.
  • A caller reported tree limbs in the roadway at 10:06 p.m. at W12534 Highway 29, Prescott. They were gone when police arrived.

Tuesday, July 15

  • Deputies assisted Prescott police at 4:21 a.m. at Prescott High School (1010 Dexter St.)
  • A junk children’s bike was dumped in the ditch and found at 9:21 a.m. at Highway 35 and County Road D, Bay City.
  • Police were dispatched at 9:50 a.m. for a drunk woman who fell outside N8262 965th, River Falls. The woman was arrested for a St. Croix County warrant. After medical clearance at the hospital, she was transported to St. Croix County Jail.
  • At 10:50 a.m., a child was found walking near County Road CC and 450th Avenue, Elmwood. They said they had an argument with their stepmother. Police returned the child home and conducted interviews.
  • Officers responded to an animal complaint at 11:10 a.m. at N7173 1250th, River Falls.
  • At 4:23 p.m., police took a report of unauthorized card use at N1090 825th, Hager City.
  • Officers addressed an animal complaint at 4:34 p.m. at N7974 Highway 65, River Falls.
  • At 4:48 p.m., a caller reported a man walking near N2105 County Road EE picking up trash, believing he was a traffic hazard. He was not located.
  • A suspicious vehicle was reported in a driveway at 8:14 p.m. at W2083 570th, Elmwood. The caller requested extra patrol.
  • Police removed a downed tree from the roadway at 9:49 p.m. at 1259th Street and Highway 35, Prescott.
  • Officers conducted a welfare check at 11 p.m. at W9910 323rd, Hager City. No emergency was noted.

 

Wednesday, July 16

  • Cattle were in the roadway at 5:32 a.m. near 640th Avenue and County Road O, Ellsworth. They made their way back into their pasture.
  • A caller asked police to check on a woman at 11:13 a.m. at W11778 Highway 35, Prescott, due to concerning comments made on social media. She said she was fine, just going through a tough time.
  • Gravel was strewn about on the roadway at 1:03 p.m. near County Road O and 480th, Hager City. The gravel pit owner sent a sweeper to clean up the road.
  • A restraining order violation was reported at 1:56 p.m. at N2388 County Road D, Bay City.
  • An abandoned vehicle was located at 2:08 p.m. on private property near 290th Avenue and 550th Street, Bay City. The landowner was aware.
  • Officers assisted Red Wing EMS with a medical at 2:18 p.m. at N673 825th, Hager City.
  • Police assisted a citizen who found a loose dog running at large at 2:40 p.m. near county roads C and V, Ellsworth. The dog was returned to its owner.
  • At 3:18 p.m., the highway department was notified of ongoing issues with a gravel pit leaving dirt and gravel on the roadway near county roads O and OO, Hager City. The gravel pit owner said he had a sweeper coming to the area.
  • At 3:58 p.m., officers were notified of an intoxicated subject sitting in the edge of the road at W9844 Highway 10, Hager City. He was provided a courtesy ride to Elmwood.
  • Dunn County asked for assistance with a disorderly female at 7:40 p.m. at Spring Valley Village Hall/Library (E121 S. Second St.) Their request was cancelled before Pierce County officers arrived.
  • Cows were roaming the road at 8:14 p.m. near N3211 County Road D, Bay City. The owners put them back in their enclosure.
  • Police were dispatched to a report of a someone screaming at 8:52 p.m. near N673 825th, Hager City. Nothing was found.
  • Officers responded to an animal complaint at 9:44 p.m. at 438 S. Main St., Elmwood.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth Fire at 10:08 p.m. at Piety and Strickland streets.

 

Thursday, July 17

  • A caller reported a suspicious man laying in the ditch at 9:40 a.m. near Highway 10 and 450th Avenue, Ellsworth. EMS transported the man to the hospital.
  • A theft was reported at 12:16 p.m. at N5981 745th, Ellsworth. Officers told the complainant to put together a detailed list of stolen items.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth EMS at 3:04 p.m. at N6402 790th, Beldenville.
  • Police responded to an animal complaint at 7:54 p.m. at W10765 Highway 29, River Falls.
  • Officers assisted EMS with someone who had a cut on their arm at 9:41 p.m. at N7211 Highway 65, River Falls.

 

Friday, July 18

  • At 6:31 a.m., deputies located a vehicle parked in the ditch near Highway 10 and 450th Avenue, Ellsworth. The owner didn’t know what had happened to the vehicle, because his grandson had been driving it and was now home sleeping.
  • Officers responded at 8:16 a.m. to N5001 1208th, Prescott, to assist with a medical call.
  • A caller reported suspicious activity near a residence at 9:31 a.m. at W7092 610th, Ellsworth. Someone in a gray hatchback was suspected of taking mail and left behind a vehicle part.
  • Police were asked to contact a man about a civil matter at 3:43 p.m. at N7373 950th, River Falls.
  • At 4:42 p.m., a caller reported concerns about a man walking with a child near 228 W. Race Ave., Elmwood. The suspect said his daughter had fallen and he’d helped her up. The child was fine.
  • Officers assisted EMS with a subject stuck in bed due to back pain at 5:25 p.m. at N4954 Highway 63, Ellsworth.
  • At 6:37 p.m., a caller reported finding his truck moved out of his shed at W3028 County Road G, Elmwood. He wanted the incident documented.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police at 8:31 a.m. at 142 ½ Broad St.
  • Officers were dispatched to contact a complainant about an assault at 10:08 p.m. Mile Marker 6 on the Mississippi River. They left a voicemail for the complainant.
  • Police responded to an unwanted person complaint at 10:09 a.m. at N5981 745th, Ellsworth.
  • Deputies investigated a harassment complaint at 10:53 p.m. at 521 Main St., Bay City.

 

Saturday, July 19

  • Officers responded to a home alarm at 1:03 a.m. at N8094 1094th, River Falls. Police cleared the home and found nothing suspicious.
  • At 6:24 a.m., Goodhue County (Minn.) public safety asked deputies to check the area of N1705 860th, Hager City, for a fire due to heavy black smoke. The “smoke” was mayflies.
  • Officers assisted River Falls Fire at 7:01 a.m. with a carbon monoxide alarm at N6047 County Road E, River Falls. All occupants were safe.
  • A suspicious vehicle was reportedly parked on the roadway at 8:08 a.m. at W8210 County Road K, Ellsworth. The vehicle wasn’t located.
  • Police conducted a welfare check on a man who made vague statements to a hotline at 8:25 a.m. at N7420 County Road O, River Falls. He refused to answer the door.
  • At 9:41 a.m., officers responded to a juvenile complaint on 825th Street, Ellsworth. The juvenile has ongoing issues with staying home and not coming home on time.
  • At 11:22 a.m., police responded to a report of a man cut by a chainsaw at N6648 410th, Spring Valley. EMS transported him to the hospital.
  • Police warned a man for trespassing on railroad property at 11:25 a.m. near Highway 35 and Wabash Street, Bay City. He smelled of alcohol. Authorities alerted the man’s probation officer.
  • Deputies assisted with a medical call at 3:55 p.m. at N673 825th, Hager City.
  • A man was arrested for a probation violation at 6:17 p.m. at 112 Evergreen Estates St., Ellsworth.
  • Police were dispatched to a mental health call at 7:25 p.m. at W3540 Lakeview Ave., Maiden Rock. The man was belligerent and ordered police out of his house. He denied needing help from mental health crisis workers.
  • Officers removed a large rock from the roadway at 8:23 p.m. at County Road EE and 210th Avenue, Bay City.
  • A caller complained of a large fire occurring at 9:14 p.m. at N8049 975th, River Falls. When officers arrived, the fire was small and contained.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police at 9:52 p.m. at 2018 Greenwood Valley Drive.

 

Sunday, July 20

  • Officers conducted a welfare check at 1:07 a.m. at N8090 620th, Beldenville. Both parties agreed to separate for the night.
  • Disorderly people were reported at 1:49 a.m. at N673 825th, Hager City. The parties agreed to separate.
  • Deputies assisted Prescott police at 5:22 a.m. at Ash and Front streets.
  • A caller reported cows in the roadway at 7:51 a.m. at 1040th Street and Highway 10, River Falls. None were located.
  • A dog was found at 10:09 a.m. at N4703 970th, Hager City.
  • At 10:35 a.m., police were dispatched to a Rustic Road at 197th Street and 20th Avenue, Maiden Rock. Two vehicles tried to pass each other on the one-lane road and one slid onto a ravine’s edge. It had to be towed out.
  • A subject was transported to the hospital by EMS after a dog bite at 11:19 a.m. at W7908 390th, Ellsworth.
  • Police conducted a welfare check at 1131 a.m. at 407 S. Wasson Lane, River Falls.
  • A downed tree was found blocking half the roadway at 12:22 p.m. at 20th Avenue and 244th Street, Stockholm. The tree was cut up and removed.
  • While in the area at 12:44 p.m., an officer observed car parts, including a lower bumper, in a creek crossing at County Road AA/20th Avenue, Maiden Rock. They were removed from the water to be disposed of.
  • A dog bite was reported at 1:27 p.m. at W6356 Main St., Bay City. A woman was bitten while walking in front of a home during a village event. Quarantine papers were issued.
  • At 6:40 p.m., police helped get a horse right side up in a trailer at Highway 10 and County Road E, Hager City.
  • A missing person was reported at 10:07 p.m. at W7653 County Road J, Beldenville. Police reached the woman and she said she was fine.
