The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office June 16-23, 2025.
Monday, June 16
Police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at 11:31 a.m. near 560th Avenue and County Road O, Ellsworth, and found three people fishing. They were trespassing. Police educated them on easement laws.
At 1:25 p.m., deputies found a man sleeping behind an electrical box at County Road F and 1250th Street, Prescott. He denied needing help but was told he had to leave.
Deputies responded to a driving complaint at 12:37 p.m. near Highway 63 and County Road YY, Spring Valley. The driver was arrested for OWI-first.
A suspicious person was reported at 3:28 p.m. at N497 County Road S, Maiden Rock. The man was arrested for possess drug paraphernalia.
A suspicious vehicle was reported in a driveway at 4:01 p.m. at N7296 710th, Beldenville. There were no signs of criminal activity; the vehicle was gone when police arrived.
A vehicle was reported to be in the ditch at 4:21 p.m. at 490th Street and Highway 72, Ellsworth. The vehicle had left before police arrived. No signs of damage were evident.
Police located an elderly man walking along the road at 4:38 p.m. near Maple Ave West and Tower Hill Road, Plum City. EMS evaluated him and returned him to his caretaker.
Police were dispatched to a business alarm at 5:39 p.m. at W3930 Highway 72, Ellsworth. It was a false alarm.
At 7:28 p.m., a caller reported baby skunks walking beside the road at Highway 72 and 410th Street, Ellsworth.
At 11:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to assist a stranded motorist at County Road CC and Highway 10, Maiden Rock. The vehicle had just been named in an “attempt to locate” notice from Dunn County deputies, who arrived and arrested the suspect.
Tuesday, June 17
At 3:15 a.m., a caller at W6799 170th, Bay City, reported they were followed home after a fight that occurred in Red Wing. He wanted the incident documented.
At 7:59 a.m., a complainant reported finding an animal head on the roadway near 769th Avenue and 450th Street, Spring Valley. Officers notified the town chair.
Family Dollar (S412 McKay Ave., Spring Valley) reported a shoplifting incident at 8:47 a.m. The staff didn’t want to press charges but wanted the woman trespassed.
Deputies assisted Red Wing police in locating a stolen vehicle at 9:06 a.m. at the High Bridge.
Deputies assisted EMS with a medical at 1:20 p.m. at N7494 950th, River Falls.
Officers were dispatched to assist Prescott police with a domestic suspect who fled the home at 1:41 p.m. at 334 Locust St. He was found and arrested.
Police conducted an animal welfare check at 3:02 p.m. at W7670 Highway 35, Hager City. The animal was fine. The property owner requested the complainant be trespassed from the property due to uncomfortable contact at the residence.
Deputies and Wisconsin State Patrol were dispatched to a driving complaint at 6:08 p.m. at County Road J and 570th Avenue, Ellsworth. The driver was arrested for OWI-fifth.
At 6:46 p.m., officers made contact with a man sleeping in a truck parked in the middle of the road at N4369 530th, Ellsworth. He was arrested for OWI-third.
Wednesday, June 18
At 7:47 a.m., a complainant reported parking issues at a rented property at 521 Main St., Plum City. The person was advised the landlord would have to deal with any parking issues on private property.
Police responded to a business alarm at 10:05 a.m. at W3930 Highway 72, Ellsworth. All the doors were secure.
Officers conducted a welfare check at 2:12 p.m. when the complainant reported mail building up in a mailbox at W9931 Highway 29, River Falls. The homeowner was okay.
Deputies performed a welfare check on someone not responding to recent phone calls at 3:05 p.m. at N7968 Highway 63, Spring Valley. They were fine.
A fertilizer spill was reported in the roadway at 3:26 p.m. near N2551 County Road VV, Hager City. The rain washed it away before it could be cleaned up.
A playhouse was reported in the roadway at 3:37 p.m. at Highway 63 and County Road VV, Hager City. It was off the roadway on the shoulder.
At 7:21 p.m., a resident at N5183 860th, Ellsworth, reported someone stealing oil out of his motorcycle. He wanted the incident documented.
Officers attempted a welfare check at 7:54 p.m. at N4359 610th, Ellsworth. The resident called back and said he was fine.
At 8:59 p.m., farmers were trying to secure loose cows and get them off the roadway at 490th Street and 430th Avenue, Ellsworth.
At 11:31 p.m., deputies assisted Wisconsin State Patrol with a vehicle pursuit at County Road B and Highway 29, Spring Valley. They were located.
Thursday, June 19
Police performed a welfare check on children at 10 a.m. at W3290 County Road G, Elmwood. The children appeared to be happy.
At 10 a.m., a woman at W935 Eau Galel Dam Road, Spring Valley, reported that her husband had had a deer stand worth about $3,000 on a relative’s property. The relatives took it apart and burned it. She wanted the incident documented.
Officers conducted a welfare check on a woman who hadn’t been heard from in several days at 11:54 a.m. at W528 Park Drive, Spring Valley. She was tracked down in the hospital, where she had been for a while.
At 1:55 p.m., a resident at N6852 490th, Beldenville, reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be from the Hudson Police Department. It was a scam call using a spoofed number.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 4:26 p.m. at 750th Street and County Road V, Ellsworth. It was not located.
Deputies responded to a verbal domestic at 5:58 p.m. atN8644 940th, River Falls. The parties were separated.
Vandalism was reported at 7:56 p.m. at N1817 785th, Hager City.
Officers removed a tree from the roadway at 8:19 p.m. at County Road BB and 730th Avenue, Spring Valley.
A business alarm sounded at 8:14 p.m. at W965 Highway 29, Spring Valley.
Deputies removed tree limbs from the roadway at 9:55 p.m. at county roads CC and S, Plum City.
The township was notified of a tree in the roadway at 10:08 p.m. at W1952 370th, Maiden Rock.
Police checked on someone who crashed his electric bike at 11:24 p.m. near 530th Street and 490th Avenue, Ellsworth. EMS transported him to the hospital while Ellsworth police transported his bike to PCSO for safekeeping.
Friday, June 20
Deputies responded to a noise complaint at 1:02 a.m. at W4419 Highway 29, Spring Valley. No loud music or noises were heard when officers arrived.
Deputies assisted River Falls police with a person with no pulse and who wasn’t breathing at 2:01 a.m. at 208 Jefferson St.
Deputies assisted RF police at 2:22 a.m. at 914 S. Main St.
Deputies assisted EMS at 2:48 a.m. at 533 E. Maple St., River Falls.
At 7:26 a.m., a resident requested advice on a land/fence dispute at N4379 Highway 35, Prescott. He was advised to contact a contractor.
Police removed a fallen tree from the roadway at 7:36 a.m. at N5717 170th, Elmwood.
An unwanted person was reported at 11:01 a.m. at S412 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. They were trespassed from the property.
Martell Township was notified of a downed tree at 11:10 a.m. at 510th Street and 810th Avenue, Spring Valley.
Police conducted a welfare check at 12:23 p.m. at 703 N. Main St., River Falls.
At 2:19 p.m., Spring Valley village officials reported a company placing signs in people’s yards at S1425 Westview Court. The business owner was informed he cannot place signs.
Officers were advised of possible smoke in the area at 3:12 p.m. at W8184 390th, Ellsworth. Nothing was found.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 3:29 p.m. at Pierce County Fairgrounds (364 N. Maple St., Ellsworth). It was not located.
At 5:06 p.m., police were informed that a large load of asphalt had been dumped in a public roadway near Highway 63 and 570th Avenue, Ellsworth. The town chair said he would contact the homeowner.
Officers were informed of a suspicious vehicle at 9:12 p.m. at 490th Street and 730th Avenue, Ellsworth. It had broken down; the owner was working on getting it removed.
Saturday, June 21
Deputies checked on a suspicious, unoccupied vehicle at 3 a.m. at Highway 35 and 760th Street, Hager City. The vehicle had permission to be on the property.
Police located a suspicious vehicle at 3:10 a.m. near W7858 170th, Hager City. They notified the property owner.
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a disorderly person at 3:44 a.m. at 135 Orange St.
A caller reported a tree blocking the roadway at 6:09 a.m. at N5061 810th, Ellsworth. The township removed the tree.
Police notified the township of a tree in the roadway at 12:03 p.m. at Highway 35 and 290th Avenue, Hager City. The township couldn’t immediately respond; officers removed enough of the tree to allow motorists safely through.
Deputies assisted River Falls police at 12:24 p.m. at 1640 Centennial Drive.
Deputies assisted EMS at 5:21 p.m. at N5452 170th, Elmwood.
Deputies assisted EMS at 7:15 p.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave., Ellsworth.
A caller reported cows in the roadway at 9:10 p.m. at County Road Y and Highway 29, Spring Valley. None were located.
A possible domestic was reported at 9:59 p.m. at N1299 825th, Hager City. The caller hung up on dispatch and refused to answer follow-up phone calls. Nothing was found at the scene.
A missing Black Lab was reported at 11:23 p.m. at W6177 870th, River Falls.
Sunday, June 22
At 1:32 a.m., police received a call about possible underage drinking occurring at N1090 825th, Hager City. The subjects had left the bar and weren’t located. While parked in the lot, police saw two men in the next vehicle over using illegal narcotics. They were cited for possess drug paraphernalia; one was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping.
At 9:02 a.m., police were dispatched to a property damage report at W6490 Lake Pepin Blvd., Bay City. A motorized one-wheel had struck an unoccupied vehicle.
Police responded to a rolling domestic heading into Pierce County at 11:12 a.m. on Highway 35 near County Road A, Maiden Rock. Police located the vehicle and spoke with the occupants, one of whom was cited for possess drug paraphernalia and possession of THC.
A caller reported a black bear on their property at noon at W5285 770th, Spring Valley. The bear eventually left.
At 1:49 p.m., police stood by as a former tenant removed items from the yard at N1932 County Road K, Hager City.
Deputies were dispatched to a business alarm at 2:14 p.m. at N8170 Highway 65, River Falls. Everything appeared to be fine.
At 2:38 p.m., officers responded to an argument between two parties regarding handicapped parking at W9852 290th, Hager City. They separated before police arrived.
At 6:50 p.m., police received an automated 911 call that reported a possible crash at W5371 794th, Spring Valley. The phone’s owner had been upset and thrown his phone against the wall, causing it to call.
Police were dispatched to an assault not in progress at 7:01 p.m. at N1090 825th, Hager City. The complainant refused to provide details, told officers he’d handle it himself and hung up on them.
Deputies assisted eight ducklings out of a storm drain at 9:21 p.m. at Highway 35 and County Road A, Maiden Rock. They were returned to their mother.
At 11:30 p.m., deputies located a vehicle connected to an RFPD domestic call at 2550 Dawes Place, River Falls.
Police were on the scene of a downed tree in the road at 11:33 p.m. at 650th Avenue and County Road O, River Falls, when two vehicles struck it, causing minor damage to both.
Monday, June 23
Officers provided lights while the township removed a tree at 12:30 a.m. at N7692 910th, River Falls.
Deputies assisted RFPD with a business alarm at 12:38 a.m. at 1153 St. Croix St. The building was secure and there were no signs of forced entry.
A caller reported seeing two people in his driveway at 12:41 a.m. at N4828 1150th, Prescott. Two juveniles out walking had seen a coyote.
At 2:53 a.m., a patient left a care facility at N7211 Highway 65, River Falls. They returned while police were enroute.
Police responded to a tree blocking the roadway at 8:20 a.m. at N1350 385th, Maiden Rock. The township was advised.
Officers were dispatched to a home alarm at 8:27 a.m. at N4402 1050th, Prescott. A contractor had tripped the alarm.
At 11:09 a.m., police responded to an argument at W5259 545th, Ellsworth. A woman had tried stopping a truck to prevent a man from hitting dogs in the road that were not hers. This led to an argument between the two.
Police provided lights while the Highway Department cut up a tree at 11:20 a.m. Highway 10 and County Road OO, Hager City.
