The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff's Office May 24-June 1.

 

Saturday, May 24

  • At 10:40 a.m., police were notified of a parking issue during a village car show at S119 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. The issue worked itself out.
  • Property damage was reported at 12:31 p.m. at N1817 785th, Hager City. The suspect called the owner and they worked out a solution to pay for the damage.
  • At 12:54 p.m., a caller reported a large amount of manure in the road at County Road CC and Highway 10, Maiden Rock. The property owner said he’d clean it up.
  • A damaged storage unit door was reported at 2:51 p.m. at W7605 Highway 35, Hager City.
  • Police warned four juveniles for walking along the railroad tracks at 7:50 p.m. at Highway 35 and 830th Street, Hager City.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth Fire with a vehicle fire at 10:09 p.m. at W5462 County Road N, Beldenville.
  • Deputies assisted RF police with a domestic call at 11:47 p.m. at 1204 Bartosh Lane.
  • Police responded to a report of disorderly people at 11:55 p.m. at N1128 460th, Maiden Rock. Police interviewed those involved and witnesses. They agreed to separate themselves.

 

Sunday, May 25

  • Deputies were dispatched to a one-vehicle crash at 12:06 a.m. at W4890 Highway 29, Spring Valley. The driver was arrested for OWI-first.
  • Officers responded to a possible fight in a bar parking lot at 2:45 a.m. at S225 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. Everyone left before police arrived.
  • Police were called to a one-vehicle crash in which the driver left the area at 8:34 a.m. at Highway 72 and County Road G, Elmwood. The driver was cited for failure to notify law enforcement of an accident, hit and run, failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to keep vehicle under control.
  • Cattle were loose in the road at 9:16 a.m. at W5048 Highway 72, Ellsworth. The owner was able to secure them.
  • Officers were dispatched to a shooting complaint at 10:09 a.m. at W5306 770th, Spring Valley. People said they fired shots in the air to scare a bear away. They were given other ideas on how to scare a bear.
  • At 10:50 a.m., a caller reported a small airplane acting oddly at W10317 879th, River Falls. Police were able to locate activities for a few small planes in the area.
  • Police conducted a welfare check at 12:20 p.m. at 515 First St., Plum City. A safety plan was put into place.
  • Deputies assisted EMS with a medical at 12:45 p.m. at N7122 County Road J, Beldenville.
  • A possible restraining order violation was reported at 3:50 p.m. at N673 825th, Hager City. Police attempted contact with the other party.
  • Police received a report of gunshots in the area at 6:17 p.m. at W12996 648th, Prescott. Nothing was located.
  • Deputies assisted with a suicidal inmate at the jail at 8:10 p.m. They were taken to Western Wisconsin Health.
  • Deputies assisted the DNR at 8:11 p.m. at N6802 Highway 65, Beldenville.

 

Monday, May 26

  • Suspicious activity was reported at 12:51 a.m. at County Road K and 385th Avenue, Ellsworth.
  • Officers responded to a shooting complaint at 10:58 a.m. at 410th Avenue and 730th Street, Ellsworth. The parties came up with an agreement that was satisfactory to all.
  • A caller reported a tree in the roadway at 12:39 p.m. at 1070th Street and 690th Avenue, River Falls. The township was going to remove it.
  • Deputies assisted EMS at 12:44 p.m. at 532 W. Main St., Ellsworth.
  • Police responded to a neighbor dispute at 1:46 p.m. at N8202 950th, River Falls. Both adults were warned for disorderly conduct. Officers explained ATV registration as well.
  • At 4:26 p.m., a caller spoke to police about a possible beekeeping ordinance issue at N6278 1070th, River Falls. She was advised to contact UW Extension or the county agricultural extension agent.
  • A caller reported a suspicious vehicle that already left the area at 5:30 p.m. at N4431 1115th, Prescott. The complainant said they would call back if the vehicle returned.
  • Police conducted a welfare check via phone at 5:35 p.m. at W6327 Main St., Bay City. The resident said she was fine and did not need assistance.
  • At 6:13 p.m., a caller reported juveniles on the railroad tracks near 1259th Street and Highway 35, Prescott. Nothing was located.
  • Police were dispatched to a possible suicidal subject at 7:12 p.m. at 640th Avenue and County Road O, Ellsworth. Police located the vehicle and parties involved. The individual wasn’t suicidal but was highly intoxicated and upset. Deputies helped the family come up with a solution to get them home safely.
  • Deputies conducted a welfare check at 7:53 p.m. at W6389 Pepin St., Bay City. No one was located.
  • At 8:26 p.m., River Falls Area Hospital personnel reported a child had been bitten by a dog at N7941 986th, River Falls. The child received four stitches.

 

Tuesday, May 27

  • Deputies responded to an abandoned 911 call at 12:20 a.m. at W7274 Highway 35, Bay city. One man was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.
  • Police were dispatched at 6 a.m. to County Road F and 820th Avenue, River Falls, for a suspicious vehicle. The man appeared lost and left the area.
  • Officers assisted Ellsworth police at 8:44 a.m. at 445 S. Piety St.
  • At 9:33 a.m., a caller at W7805 170th, Hager City, reported receiving harassing messages from someone he took a temporary restraining order out on. The TRO had not been served. He was advised of options moving forward.
  • Police spoke with a complainant regarding neighbor issues at 11:59 a.m. at N4097 730th, Ellsworth. She didn’t want the neighbors contacted at that time.
  • Officers spoke with a complainant regarding an ongoing barking dog issue at 3:30 p.m. at W7487 510th, Ellsworth. The complainant just wanted it documented.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 5:22 p.m. at Wall and Broadway streets.
  • Officers checked for a suspicious vehicle at 5:51 p.m. near 206 N. Northview St., Ellsworth. Nothing was located.
  • At 5:52 p.m., police received a report of people who went to purchase a vehicle at N8424 900th, River Falls, and poured oil into the coolant tank. No damage had yet occurred.
  • At 6:43 p.m., police received two complaints of a barking dog at W7487 510th, Ellsworth. Both callers advised the town chair.
  • A civil issue was reported at 7:36 p.m. at Highway 10 and 390th Avenue, Ellsworth. The owner agreed to let the complainant remove the rest of their property.

 

Wednesday, May 28

  • Police assisted Lund Fire Department with a vehicle fire at 12:57 a.m. at N770 300th, Maiden Rock.
  • At 2:46 a.m., police received a 911 call from S215 McKay Ave., Spring Valely, with a female screaming in the background and a male voice talking. The woman denied a male being there or that any disturbance had occurred.
  • BNSF reported a derailment at 3:46 a.m. near 170th Avenue and Ralston Road 4 in Hager City. Four grain-filled cars derailed, but there were no hazards or injuries.
  • At 2:16 p.m., police spoke to a complainant about dogs running on her property without permission at N5186 170th, Elmwood. The owner confirmed it was his dogs in the photos. He was cited for animals at large.
  • At 3:36 p.m., a caller reported receiving threats from a disgruntled customer at W7725 Highway 10, Ellsworth. The suspect said he will behave more appropriately in the future. He was warned for disorderly conduct.
  • At 5:56 p.m., police received word that two juveniles were possibly missing near County Road S and 300th Street, Maiden Rock. They were located and returned to their family.
  • Police performed a welfare check at 8:09 p.m. at W251 210th, Plum City, on a man who allegedly made threats to harm himself. He denied doing so and made arranges with the court to surrender his firearms.

 

Thursday, May 29

  • Deputies assisted EMS at 11:13 a.m. at W3675 Highway 35, Maiden Rock.
  • Officers responded to a dog bite at 1:19 p.m. at N4699 270th, Elmwood. A quarantine order was issued.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police at an accident at 5:11 p.m. at Main Street and Cemetery Road.
  • Officers assisted EMS at 8:16 p.m. at N8481 690th, River Falls.
  • At 11:08 p.m., police assisted in locating and returning a subject who ran away from a group home at N7211 Highway 65, River Falls.

 

Friday, May 30

  • Deputies were dispatched to an unwanted subject at 1:14 a.m. at N1090 825th, Hager City. He was located and interviewed.
  • Police performed a welfare check on someone with a child at 10:36 a.m. at E114 Akers St., Spring Valley. The man was cited for operate without valid license and possession of THC.
  • At 10:37 a.m., a caller reported their neighbor’s dog will not stop barking at W7487 510th, Ellsworth. He wanted it documented for the township.
  • Police responded at 11:18 a.m. to a one-vehicle crash at W6282 Highway 35, Bay City. The car left the road, went into a river and struck a tree. The DNR was able to use a rotator to lift the vehicle out of the river.
  • A man reported a dog bite at 2 p.m. at N3860 610th, Ellsworth. He said he’d follow up after going to the hospital.
  • At 3:44 p.m., police responded to Elmwood Schools (213 S. Scott St.) for a fight that occurred on a school bus. A juvenile struck another juvenile in the head with a bottle, causing a laceration.
  • Police responded to a welfare check at 10:32 p.m. at N8784 Highway 128, Spring Valley, where a man wouldn’t let his girlfriend leave. He was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct and a probation hold.

 

Saturday, May 31

  • Deputies were called about a possible underage party at 1:16 a.m. at N6608 Highway 65, Beldenville. Underage drinking was observed.
  • Police stood by with the complainants and property owner while property was removed from a campsite at W3897 390th, Ellsworth.
  • At 8:44 a.m., the gas station owner at W3541 Highway 35, Maiden Rock, complained of bakery customers parking in his lot. Police had spoke to the bakery owner two weeks prior.
  • At 11:02 p.m., police spoke with a dog owner about the dog’s incessant barking at W7487 510th, Ellsworth. The owner said he would try to minimize it.
  • A deceased male was located at 1:56 p.m. at W7193 450th, Ellsworth.
  • Police responded to a disorderly conduct call at 2:17 p.m. at W7698 150th, Hager City.
  • At 3:12 p.m., a dog owner at W702 County Road G, Elmwood, agreed to keep his dog leashed in the future.
  • A suspicious vehicle was reported at 4:51 p.m. at N3933 400th, Ellsworth. Three men were located fishing in the river after trespassing on land. They were all cited for fishing without a license.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police at 8:54 p.m. at 376 W. Johnson St.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police at 9:37 p.m. at 103 E. Locust St.
  • Police received a noise complaint at 9:49 p.m. near 830th Street and County Road K, Hager City.
  • Officers responded to a possible domestic at 10:32 p.m. at W11030 587th, Prescott. The incident occurred in Minnesota.
  • Deputies received a shooting complaint at 11:15 p.m. at County Road EE and 210th Avenue, Bay City. Nothing was located.
  • Police responded to a possible domestic at 11:45 p.m. at N8281 965th, River Falls. The male suspect left before police arrived. Interviews were conducted with the victim and kids.

 

Sunday, June 1

  • Deputies responded to a one-vehicle rollover at 12:25 a.m. at W11336 570th, Prescott. The driver was ejected and transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
  • Deputies assisted River Falls police with a fight in progress at 1:50 a.m. at 1153 St. Croix St.
  • Police assisted EMS with a medical at 2:15 a.m. at 100 Spring St. A woman was transported to the hospital. No evidence of a crime was found.
  • Police assisted RF police at 2:29 a.m. at Main Street and Cascade Avenue.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 2:59 a.m. at Hillsdale Street and Pleasant Avenue.
  • At 11:22 a.m., a caller reported a washing machine dumped on his property at N1857 830th, Hager City.
  • Officers responded to a business alarm at 1:17 p.m. at W6265 Highway 63, Ellsworth. It was a false alarm.
  • Police were dispatched to a fire alarm at 1:21 p.m. at W4836 125th, Maiden Rock. Everything appeared to be okay.
  • At 2:34 p.m., a woman reported a man was trespassing a violating a state civil order at W4941 290th, Bay City. She said she’d call back when he was leaving due to him not having a license.
  • At 3:03 p.m., a caller reported suspicious activity at the cemetery at W6101 Highway 63, Ellsworth. Items were either removed or tipped over.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 6:35 p.m. at Maple Street and Overlook Drive.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 9:29 p.m. at 481 S. Broadway St.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 9:52 p.m. at 202 S. Grant St.
