Pierce County Sheriff’s Office reports: Oct. 6-13, 2025

The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Oct. 6-13, 2025.

Monday, Oct. 6

  • Deputies assisted Prescott police with a traffic stop at 10:21 a.m. at 570th Avenue and Jefferson Street.
  • At 12:45 p.m., police received a report of two people arguing at Highway 63 and County Road VV, Hager City. Both parties were removed from the property they were trespassing on and their camper was towed.
  • At 3:44 p.m., police spoke to people at W6803 170th, Bay City, about animals going onto the neighbors’ property. They said they could keep the animals in a fenced area.
  • A hit and run was reported at 4:33 p.m. at 600 Main St., Plum City.
  • At 9:21 p.m., an officer observed a large utility line hissing at W9373 710th, River Falls. River Falls Fire, the landowner and the gas company were notified.

 

Tuesday, Oct. 7

  • A man was found unresponsive at 11:18 a.m. at W5308 290th, Bay City. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • Police were notified of a harassment complaint at 1:35 p.m. at W8896 Highway 29, River Falls. Police contacted an ex-boyfriend and told him to stop contacting the complainant.
  • At 3:02 p.m., police spoke to a property owner at W6803 170th, Bay City, about a neighbor’s chickens continuing to come onto the property. A resolution was reached.
  • Police were informed of a tree on a power line at 4:26 p.m. at 770th Avenue and 290th Street near Spring Valley. The power company was notified. No sparking or fire was seen.
  • At 4:31 p.m., police received a complaint of a silage truck traveling on the wrong side of the road at 650th Street and County Road V, Ellsworth. The property owner was advised of the complaint.
  • At 6:13 p.m., deputies assisted River Falls police in trying to locate a missing person at 1310 Barosh Lane. They were found.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 8

  • Police were dispatched to an unwanted person complaint at 7:26 a.m. at N1955 385th, Maiden Rock. The resident didn’t want the unwanted woman to go to jail, she just wanted her to get help. She was given a courtesy ride home where a crisis worker was contacted.
  • At 11:29 a.m., dispatch received a request to unlock a vehicle at W6453 610th, Ellsworth. When she was informed the sheriff’s office doesn’t unlock vehicles, she had some choice words for the dispatcher and hung up.
  • Police spoke to a resident about safeguarding his property and protection against hackers at 12:31 p.m. at W2801 230th, Maiden Rock.
  • At 3:28 p.m., a caller reported a man lying on the highway shoulder near Highway 29 and a county road near River Falls. He was given a courtesy ride to a park in Spring Valley.
  • Police were asked to do a welfare check at 4:31 p.m. at 3480 Aberdeen Place, River Falls. They reached the woman by phone, who said she was fine and just out driving to cool off.
  • A missing Silver Lab was reported at 6:38 p.m. at N5696 1142nd, Prescott.
  • Deputies assisted Ellsworth Fire at 7:02 p.m. at 599 N. Maple St.
  • Deputies assisted Red Wing EMS with a medical emergency at 7:15 p.m. at N1639 County Road C, Hager City.
  • Loose cattle were reported at 11:05 p.m. near County Road S and Highway 72, Elmwood. Deputies assisted the farmer with the cattle culprits.

 

Thursday, Oct. 9

  • A possible abandoned boat was reported at 8:43 a.m. at W7858 170th, Hager City.
  • Deputies assisted Spring Valley schools with a drill at 8:45 a.m. at S1450 County Road CC.
  • A caller reported a woman walking in the traffic lane at 12:45 p.m. near Highway 35 and 747th Street, Hager City. She was not located.
  • At 1:33 p.m., a caller reported concern for the welfare of farm animals at W12086 757th, River Falls.
  • At 2:48 p.m., deputies responded to county roads CC and G, Elmwood, for a manure truck spraying from the roadway. They located a small amount of manure spilled on the shoulder.
  • At 3:06 p.m., officers spoke with a man concerned about the political signs in a yard near county roads FF and F, River Falls.
  • At 3:28 p.m., a caller reported an unknown drone flying over his property at N2395 County Road C, Bay City.
  • At 4:33 p.m., police checked on a man on the side of the road picking apples near County Road F and 820th Avenue, River Falls. He denied driving to the location. He was advised to find a licensed driver to get him home since his license is revoked.
  • Police located a vehicle in the ditch at 4:34 p.m. on Highway 35 south of Prescott. It had been reported stolen in Dakota County.
  • Deputies and neighbors helped round up naughty cows on the lam at 7:56 p.m. at W8711 570th, Ellsworth.
  • Deputies assisted a stranded motorist at 9:44 p.m. at 750th Street and Highway 65, Beldenville. A tow truck pulled the vehicle out.

 

Friday, Oct. 10

  • Deputies assisted River Falls police at 5:52 a.m. at 702 Troy St.
  • Officers were dispatched at 7:35 a.m. to W2467 Highway 72, Elmwood, for a struck animal. It was not located.
  • Deputies assisted Red Wing EMS with a medical call at 8:48 a.m. atvW7674 163rd, Hager City. The family transported the person to the hospital.
  • Police responded to a semi vs. vehicle crash at 11:20 a.m. at W7540 Highway 35, Hager City. Red Wing EMS transported one party to Red Wing Mayo.
  • A missing dog was reported at 1:22 p.m. at W6479 430th, Ellsworth.
  • Deputies assisted RF police at 3:40 p.m. at 1219 Emily Circle, River Falls.
  • Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicles complaint at 4:52 p.m. at 800th Street and Highway 10, Ellsworth. They left before officers arrived.
  • Police responded to a home alarm at 6:15 p.m. at N8094 1094th, River Falls. There were no signs of forced entry. It appeared to be a false alarm.
  • At 9:40 p.m., a man showed up at N5808 800th, Ellsworth, with no shirt on asking for a sweatshirt. He was a stranded motorist. When police arrived, he declined their assistance.

 

Saturday, Oct. 11

  • At 1:33 a.m., police assisted an intoxicated woman in getting a safe ride home from N1090 825th, Hager City.
  • A business alarm sounded at 5:24 a.m. at N1620 County Road VV, Hager City. It was a false alarm.
  • Deputies assisted RF police with traffic control for the UW-River Falls Homecoming parade at 8:01 a.m. at Main and Division streets.
  • Police conducted a welfare check on a nude man at 10:03 a.m. near Mile Marker 788 on the Mississippi River. He was thought to be intoxicated and seemed confused on how he ended up in the river or what was going on. Police transported him to the boat launch, where Red Wing EMS picked him up to take him to the hospital. Goodhue County advised he was a suspect in a stolen vehicle case.
  • Officers conducted a welfare check on animals at 11:09 a.m. at N6842 570th, Beldenville. Everything appeared to be fine.
  • Deputies were dispatched to a mailbox theft at 12:44 p.m. at W9699 690th, River Falls.
  • Police responded to a storage unit burglary at 2:05 p.m. at W7858 170th, Hager City.
  • Officers were dispatched to a burglary with signs of forced entry at 3:50 p.m. at N6096 530th, Ellsworth.
  • At 5:45 p.m., a vehicle’s rear tire started on fire at W3716 Highway 10, Maiden Rock. It was put out before officers arrived.
  • Deputies responded to a fight in progress at 11:11 p.m. at W10829 875th, River Falls. A man became assaultive toward deputies and was arrested for battery of a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, resisting or obstructing an officer and battery.

 

Sunday, Oct. 12

  • Police responded to a possible domestic disturbance called in by a third party at 12:49 a.m. at 624 Main St., Plum City. No one came to the door.
  • Officers were dispatched to a report of someone banging on pots and pans at 9:12 a.m. near County Road BB and 370th Street, Ellsworth. He was arrested for an active Department of Corrections warrant and taken to jail.
  • A dog bite was reported at 1:12 p.m. at W9330 Highway 10, Ellsworth. A 10-day quarantine notice was issued to the dog’s owner.
  • Police spoke to a resident about a property dispute at 8:01 p.m. at W7874 180th, Hager City. He was hoping to resolve the issue.

 

Monday, Oct. 13

Officers conducted a welfare check on a man making concerning statements after a breakup at 2:11 a.m. at W250 County Road Z, Arkansaw. He denied having any suicidal or homicidal thoughts.
