The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Sept. 15-22, 2025.
Monday, Sept. 15
A caller reported a possible injured dog at 10:12 a.m. near N4304 County Road S, Plum City. Police found a dog with one eye running in the ditch. The town chair was notified.
Officers checked on a person on private property at 12:01 p.m. at W11386 County Road FF, River Falls. They were warned for trespassing.
At 12:32 p.m., deputies checked for suspicious activity near W8799 Highway 29, River Falls. No one was located.
At 1:08 p.m., police assisted in booking a disorderly inmate at the jail (555 W. Overlook Drive) brought from 366 S. Elm St., Prescott.
Police responded to an animal complaint at 1:22 p.m. at N7296 710th, Beldenville.
At 1:25 p.m., officers spoke to multiple people at N3587 490th, Ellsworth, about a lumber dispute and damage to a field to retrieve the lumber.
At 2:02 p.m., a caller at W11980 Highway 29, Prescott, reported a suspicious vehicle had driven up her driveway early in the morning. She wanted it documented.
At 2:58 p.m., police received a report of two damaged road signs on Highway 63 about one-quarter mile south of the south Highway 29 intersection. The 490th Street sign was damaged, and the JC 29 sign was down. There are no suspects.
Police conducted a welfare check at 3:35 p.m. at W3542 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. A woman was provided with resources.
At 4:04 p.m., police checked the area near Highway 10 and 730th Street, Ellsworth, for a woman recently released from jail. She wasn’t located.
Deputies assisted Prescott police at 6:26 p.m. at 236 Broad St.
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a possible domestic at 7:25 p.m. at 1115 Hampshire St.
Police were notified of an animal complaint at 11:41 p.m. at Green Street and Highway 35, Maiden Rock, but it resolved itself before officers were dispatched.
Tuesday, Sept. 16
Police performed a welfare check at 12:51 a.m. at N8440 1015th, River Falls. The man was fine.
Officers responded to a home alarm at 5:53 a.m. at W8455 162nd, Hager City. Everything was fine.
At 6:27 a.m., deputies received word of a suspicious vehicle that possibly dumped garbage near County Road C and 270th Avenue, Bay City. Police located the suspect, cited them and told them to pick up their trash.
At 9:29 a.m., police spoke to a complainant about an ongoing public vs. private property dispute at Evert’s Resort (N1705 860th, Hager City).
At 11:35 a.m., police were notified of a person possibly trespassing at W4419 Highway 29, Spring Valley. They weren’t located.
At 1:30 p.m., deputies assisted River Falls police in finding and arresting an intoxicated man for bail jumping near Fourth and Walnut streets.
At 2:35 p.m., police received a call about a suspicious man walking in the roadway at 450th Street and Highway 29, Spring Valley. He was not located.
Police spoke to a woman at 4:22 p.m. about a civil matter regarding a dog at N7483 135th, Hager City.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 5:28 p.m. at N8644 940th, River Falls. Nothing was located.
Police were informed of threats received at 6:17 p.m. at W10966 Highway 10, Prescott.
Officers were dispatched at 6:43 p.m. to W8101 290th, Hager City for an unwanted subject. The person left before police arrived.
Deputies were notified of an unwanted subject at 7:34 p.m. at W9464 Highway 10, Hager City. They person left before officers arrived.
Deputies and Spring Valley police assisted Wisconsin State Patrol in locating a suicidal subject at 9:02 p.m. near 890th Avenue and County Road B, Spring Valley.
Wednesday, Sept. 17
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a business alarm at 12:32 a.m. at 138 N. Broad St.
Police responded to a business alarm at 1:55 a.m. at S412 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. Everything was locked and nothing appeared to be out of place.
A woman was arrested for a warrant during a traffic stop at 7:15 a.m. at Apollo Road and Compton Avenue in River Falls.
Officers received an animal complaint at 7:51 a.m. at County Road S and 370th Avenue, Plum City.
A caller reported suspicious activity at 8:31 a.m. at W5642 Highway 72, Ellsworth. Hunters were on land open to the public.
Police stood by at 10:34 a.m. while a man collected property at W7717 570th, Ellsworth.
At 12:30 p.m., an individual was trespassed from Mr. Sippi’s at N1415 830th, Hager City.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 12:56 a.m. at W4890 Highway 29, Spring Valley. It was not located.
Deputies arrested a man for a Trempealeau County warrant at 1:59 p.m. at 414 W. Main St., Ellsworth.
At 3:17 p.m., police were informed of a possible attempted garage break-in at N7078 50th, Elmwood. Police gave the caller ideas for securing the residence.
Deputies assisted EMS at 6:27 p.m. at W4236 County Road G, Beldenville.
Police were notified of a suspicious person at 6:49 p.m. at W10322 Highway 29, River Falls.
A missing dog was reported at 8:21 p.m. at W5412 290th, Bay City.
Deputies assisted jail staff with a disorderly inmate brought in at 9:14 p.m. from 253 Locust St. S., Prescott.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a man not breathing at 9:17 p.m. at W1776 210th, Plum City. He was declared deceased.
At 10:31 p.m., police were asked to check W6650 Main St., Bay City, for a missing person. They were not located.
Thursday, Aug. 18
Deputies conducted a K9 sniff for Prescott police at 1:23 a.m. at Cherry Street and Highway 10.
Police were asked to check the welfare of someone at 8:37 a.m. at 220 Maple Ave. W., Plum City. A family member informed them the resident had gone to the hospital.
Officers received an animal complaint at 9:46 a.m. at County Road W and 770th, River Falls.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 11:10 a.m. at Beulah and Charlotte streets.
Police spoke with a complainant at 12:45 p.m. at N1484 810th, Hager City, regarding an ongoing civil matter.
At 1:39 p.m., a caller reported an unknown vehicle shining its lights in the windows at N4754 170th, Elmwood, early in the morning.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 2:44 p.m. at 598 W. Lucas Lane.
Officers conducted a welfare check at 2:46 p.m. at W7598 Highway 10, Ellsworth. EMS transported a woman to Red Wing Mayo for an evaluation.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 4:24 p.m. at County Road BB and 570th Avenue, Ellsworth.
At 5:37 p.m., deputies assisted Ellsworth police with an assaultive juvenile at a residence in the 200 block of North Maple Street.
Police were dispatched at 8:55 p.m. about a civil matter at N761 300th, Maiden Rock.
Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle at 8:56 p.m. near Highway 29 and Park Drive, Spring Valley. All was in order.
Police performed a welfare check at 9:35 p.m. at N4909 710th, Ellsworth. The person was fine.
A mailbox was struck at 10:33 p.m. at N1347 747th, Hager City.
Deputies and Red Wing Fire were dispatched to a structure fire at 10:50 a.m. at W8544 Highway 35, Hager City. Police determined the cause to be arson; a woman was arrested shortly thereafter.
Friday, Sept. 19
A caller reported a cat stuck in a tree at 4:21 a.m. at N2945 980th, Hager City.
At 7:59 a.m., a caller reported damage to two valve stems on the front tires of their forklift boom at W7097 770th, Beldenville.
Deputies conducted a welfare check at 12:19 p.m. at 108 Eau Galle Drive, Elmwood.
Police responded to an animal complaint at 5:12 p.m. at W7410 Highway 65, Beldenville.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a suicidal subject at 8:44 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of West Cairns Street.
Saturday, Sept. 20
Police were called to a fight in progress at 1:15 a.m. at the Woodshed (N1090 825th, Hager City).
Officers were informed of a vehicle performing burnouts at 1:22 a.m. at 640th Avenue and 1000th Street, River Falls.
A business alarm sounded at 1:26 a.m. at S412 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. Police were not needed.
At 6:23 a.m., a caller called police when someone knocked on her door at N5427 County Road S, Elmwood. Her adult son was on the scene and everything was fine.
A caller reported at injured eagle at 9:07 a.m. at Highway 10 and County Road QQ, Prescott. It was not located.
At 10:35 a.m., a complainant reported his neighbors shooting at N6229 745th, Ellsworth. The neighbors were shooting safely and legally. The neighbors came to an agreement on how they will proceed in the future during the annual shooting day.
Police were asked to check on a man walking in traffic at 12:41 p.m. near W4890 Highway 29, Spring Valley. He was told to be more careful.
Officers responded to a verbal argument at 2:48 p.m. at 2936 985th, Hager City. A person mowing was throwing up rocks near a truck parked at the boat launch. The male in the boat left and the person stopped mowing.
A caller reported people trespassing at 3:47 p.m. at W3958 270th, Maiden Rock. They were on land they had permission to be on.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a bond violation at 4:11 p.m. at Grant and Cairns streets.
Officers responded to a disturbance at 5:31 p.m. at W6454 Highway 35, Bay City. A woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery.
An animal bite was reported at 7:37 p.m. at W9247 800th, River Falls. A quarantine order was issued.
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 8:10 p.m. at 280th Avenue and Highway 10, Plum City. One driver was arrested for OWI/cause injury. Helicopters flew two people with injuries to hospitals.
A loose cow was reported at 11:02 p.m. at 64th Avenue and 870th Street, Ellsworth. It was not located.
Sunday, Sept. 21
A hit and run was reported at 12:20 a.m. at Main Street and Wilson Avenue in Elmwood. The driver was located at a nearby residence and arrested for OWI.
Police conducted a welfare check at 12:33 a.m. on a woman at N6548 County Road J, Beldenville. A woman was given resources.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a vehicle that avoided a traffic stop at 12:35 a.m. at Overlook Drive and Grant Street.
Officers responded to a suspicious activity complaint 3:03 a.m. at 377 W. Overlook Drive, Ellsworth.
Police assisted EMS with a medical at 1:23 p.m. at N5602 670th, Ellsworth.
Officers were notified of cattle on the road at 2:18 p.m. at N7218 810th, Beldenville. The owners got them into their pasture.
A cow was reported near the roadway at 4:36 p.m. at 330th Avenue and Highway 10, Maiden Rock. It was not immediately located.
Deputies responded to a domestic at 7:48 p.m. at N5831 530th, Ellsworth. A woman admitted to hitting her husband in the face. She was arrested for domestic battery.
Deputies assisted River Falls police with an OWI arrest at 9:45 p.m. at Second and Spring streets.
Monday, Sept. 22
A caller reported water over the road at 1:25 a.m. at Highway 29 and County Road QQ, Prescott.
Police responded to a possible domestic at 3:59 a.m. at W6621 Maple St., Bay City. The woman left the residence.
At 7:44 a.m., a caller at W8073 150th Ave., Hager City, reported hearing a suspicious noise the night before, then seeing someone run to a truck and leave.
