The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Sept. 8-15, 2025.
Monday, Sept. 8
Lost dogs were reported at 8:23 a.m. at W4665 230th, Maiden Rock.
A naughty cow was on the loose again at 12:18 p.m. at N4962 County Road CC, Elmwood. The owners headed home to get it back in place.
A possible scam was reported at 1:30 p.m. at W6803 County Road N, Beldenville.
The DNR was notified of an animal complaint at 2:11 p.m. at W11496 620th, Prescott.
At 2:34 p.m., police received a complaint of a low-flying plane doing crop seeding at W1515 130th, Maiden Rock. The farmer was advised to make sure the pilot stays above 500 feet.
Deputies assisted River Falls police with locating an individual/conducting a welfare check at 3 p.m. at 1730 E. Division St. The person returned to the residence where they were detained by RFPD.
Officers assisted a stranded motorist and provided them a courtesy ride at 5:10 p.m. at County Road W and 740th Avenue, River Falls.
Suspicious activity was reported at 5:32 p.m. at W7486 130th, Hager City. The complainant said someone was walking around the residence taking pictures. They saw some sort of badge on the person, but no other information.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a domestic disturbance at 5:43 p.m. at 133 Evergreen Estates St.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a juvenile complaint at 6:59 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of High Point Drive.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police/EMS with a juvenile complaint at 6:59 p.m. at a home in the 300 block of West Main Street.
Suspicious people were reported at 7:19 p.m. near N6499 Highway 63, Beldenville. No one was located.
A dog bite was reported at 7:43 p.m. at N7845 170th, Spring Valley.
At 10:12 p.m., a complainant at N3842 750th, Ellsworth, reported receiving several text messages regarding taking horses. She was advised not to respond. Police attempted contact with the suspect and left a voicemail.
Tuesday, Sept. 9
At 7:09 a.m., police checked on a man walking on the fog line waving at all passing vehicles near Highway 29 and County Road F, Prescott. He was trying to get a ride to Hudson. Prescott police gave him a courtesy ride to the county line.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a domestic incident at 7:27 a.m. at 454 High Point Drive.
At 8 a.m., police received a complaint of a suspicious man walking with a backpack and duffle bag near County Road F and 820th Avenue, River Falls. He was gone when police arrived.
Police were dispatched at 8:51 a.m. to N1090 825th, Hager City, for an ongoing issue with a camper parked on the side of the road. The owner was given a final warning to remove the camper and admonished for camping on the roadside.
Suspicious activity was reported at 10:52 a.m. that occurred the day before at N857 805th, River Falls. A man had come to the door asking generic political questions, which the resident found odd. He had Ring camera footage available of the incident.
Officers assisted in getting several loose goats rounded up and back into their pasture at 10:58 a.m. at W8198 Highway 29, River Falls.
At 12:18 p.m., police were dispatched to speak with two parties about a temporary restraining order violation at S223 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. Both parties were told to refrain from contacting each other until the court date.
Police came upon a deer vs. car crash at 3:27 p.m. at Highway 65 and 820th Street, River Falls. They waited with occupants until a wrecker arrived, then gave them a courtesy ride.
Officers assisted firefighters in collecting information on a fire that appeared to be caused by a lightning strike at 3:54 p.m. at N7583 1098th, River Falls.
At 5:27 p.m., police were asked to conduct a welfare check on a known displaced person walking near County Road N and 650th Street, Beldenville. He was offered a ride but wanted to keep walking.
Suspicious activity was reported at 9:02 p.m. at Public Street and Partridge Avenue, Elmwood. It was related to a domestic disturbance that had just occurred at 404 Omaha Ave., Elmwood.
Police were notified of an abandoned RV left in the roadway at 10:19 p.m. at Highway 63 and 180th Avenue, Hager City. The vehicle was towed.
Wednesday, Sept. 10
Police checked on a homeless male walking at 7:16 a.m. near W10299 Highway 10, River Falls. When a homeless shelter in New Richmond wouldn’t accept him due to recent criminal charge, he refused further help from officers.
Officers directed traffic while the highway department removed a tree from the roadway at 9:37 a.m. at 850th Avenue and Highway 63, Spring Valley.
Deputies were dispatched to a home alarm at 11:12 a.m. at N1537 845th, Hager City. The house was locked up and all appeared to be in order.
Officers assisted the town chair in removing a tree from the roadway at 11:41 a.m. at County Road O and 370th Avenue, Hager City.
At 11:51 a.m., deputies checked the area of Highway 65/County Road J in Beldenville for a possible rolling domestic. Nothing was found.
Police checked on a possible squatting complaint at 12:55 p.m. at W4584 113th, Maiden Rock. No one was around, but it appeared someone had been staying in a camper on the property.
At 1:33 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the sheriff’s office (555 W. Overlook Drive) for a woman who didn’t want to leave. She left before they arrived.
At 1:54 p.m., a woman reported finding a bike in her yard at W106 N. Second St., Spring Valley.
At 2:31 p.m., police stopped at W3525 Park St., Maiden Rock, to check on a woman seen walking up and down the highway that day.
At 2:46 p.m., a caller reported seeing smoke coming from N3941 Highway 35, Prescott. The business said everything was fine.
At 3:29 p.m., police were informed a stop sign had been backed into and bent over at 803rd Street and 180th Avenue, Hager City. The complainant believed the driver of a flatbed trailer didn’t know they had struck the sign, which the township fixed.
Officers took a harassment complaint at 6:40 p.m. at W3534 Lakeview Drive, Maiden Rock.
Loose cattle were reported in the road at 7:29 p.m. at N5427 County Road S, Elmwood. The owner was rounding them up when police arrived.
Thursday, Sept. 11
At 8:48 a.m., a complainant reported a burglary at N8762 1025th, River Falls. An e-bike had been stolen from inside a garage.
At 8:59 a.m., a caller reported theft of a gas can full of gas from N2464 Highway 63, Hager City.
At 10:18 a.m., a caller at W7930 180th, Hager City, called to report his neighbor for telling a tree trimmer he wasn’t allowed on his property. He was advised it’s a civil matter.
At 4:41 p.m., police were notified of a vehicle swerving all over the road at Highway 65 and County Road J, Beldenville. The driver also threw something out the window. He was arrested for OWI-fifth/sixth and felony bail jumping.
At 4:51 p.m., police received an animal complaint about sheep not being sheared at N5146 430th, Ellsworth. The sheep appeared to be healthy.
Loose cows were reported at 8:12 p.m. at W6373 570th, Ellsworth. The owner located them and took them home.
Friday, Sept. 12
Police were dispatched to a business alarm at 6:05 a.m. at 401 First St., Plum City. Everything was fine.
Deputies arrested someone on a warrant at 7:18 a.m. at 117 Church St.
At 7:36 a.m., police confiscated fire department plates near Winter Avenue and Scott Street, Elmwood. The fire chief had revoked authorization for the plates two years ago and the owner had been ordered to remove them.
Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle complaint at 4:41 p.m. at N7681 950th, River Falls. It was gone when police arrived.
An unwanted person was reported at 5:02 p.m. at 207 West St., Plum City. Officers escorted the person off the property.
Police checked on a suspicious vehicle at 9:16 p.m. near W12300 Highway 29, Prescott. A driver was waiting for a friend who lives near there.
An unwanted person was reported at 11:50 p.m. at N673 825th, Hager City. The person was escorted off the property.
Saturday, Sept. 13
Police were dispatched at 1:11 a.m. to N673 825th, Hager City, for an unwanted person complaint. They were escorted off the property by police.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with an OWI traffic stop at 2:23 a.m. near County Road C and Main Street.
Officers were called to a possible burglary in progress at 4:20 a.m. at W6484 Highway 35, Bay City. No burglary occurred, but a mental health safety plan was put into place for the suspect.
Police responded at 10:01 a.m. to N673 825th, Hager City, for a woman who had returned to the property again after being escorted off it. She was arrested for disorderly conduct and cited for trespassing.
At 11:58 a.m., a woman requested help for a dog locked in a vehicle at W8950 759th, River Falls.
At 1:53 p.m., police spoke with people about entering property without permission at N735 825th, Hager City.
Deputies and Ellsworth police were dispatched to a possible hit and run at 5:48 p.m. at highways 10 and 63, Ellsworth. The suspect was arrested for OWI-second.
Police were dispatched to a welfare check on a possibly drunk individual at 11:34 p.m. at Highway 63 and 825th Street, Hager City. They were not located.
Sunday, Sept. 14
Deputies were dispatched to a disturbance at 1:53 a.m. at Highway 65 and County Road O, River Falls.
Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with a vehicle that drove into a house at 2:23 a.m. at 498 W. Overlook Drive.
Police were dispatched at 12:22 p.m. to W7194 450th, Ellsworth, for a subject trying to gain access to a foreclosed home by contacting a locksmith. They were told to contact the courts about gaining access.
Officers pulled over a vehicle for going over the center line several times at 1:35 p.m. at Maple and Ray streets in Ellsworth. EMS transported the driver, who appeared to be having a medical emergency.
Monday, Sept. 15
Deputies assisted UW-River Falls police with a drug complaint at 12:04 a.m. at 851 Wild Rose Ave.
Police were dispatched to assist a man who fell off the ground at 5:08 a.m. at W3540 Lakeview Ave., Maiden Rock.
