ELLSWORTH Police Department Reports

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department May 16-22 Monday, May 16 Brandi Bixler, 34, Mondovi, was cited for speeding after a travc stop at 8:37 a.m. at West Industrial Road and North Maple Street.

An unexpected death was reported at 10:01 a.m. at 560 Burton Circle.

At 1:18 p.m., police received reports of a man yelling obscenities at another man walking his dog in the 400 block of West Cairns Street. The man said the dog walker often has his dog ou the leash and that it leaves its yard often. All parties were warned that dogs must be leashed and at all times.

Tuesday, May 17 Derek Cameron, 32, Spring Valley, was arrested at 9:42 a.m. at 310 W. Main St. for a probation violation.

At 2:50 p.m., a resident reported a missing vehicle from the 400 block of West Cairns Street. He said he’d lent it to a man on May 6, who in turn lent it to a woman. When police tried to talk to the man, he hung up the phone and refused to answer. Police reached the woman, who said she left the keys in it and abandoned it when it overheated near Larpenteur Avenue and I-94 Sunday, May 15.

Wednesday, May 18

At 2:21 p.m., a juvenile was cited for possession of a nicotine vaping device at Ellsworth High School (323 Hillcrest St.) The vape had fallen out of a student’s pocket. The parents were also notified.

Thursday, May 19

At 4:12 a.m., police were asked to perform a welfare check on a woman sitting at the side of the road at 214 N. Beulah St. The woman said she was cold but didn’t want to stay at the care center where she was living any- more. Brotoloc stau asked that she be transported to the hospital.

Noah Hines, 18, Beldenville, and Alli Minder, 17, Hager City, were arrested for possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia af- ter a travc stop at 9:16 p.m. near North Terrace Avenue and East Main Street for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Friday, May 20

A suspicious vehicle was observed at 1:34 a.m. at Ellsworth High School (323 Hillcrest St.). The vehicle was unoccupied.

At 9:15 a.m., a Public Works employee reported damage to the towel dispenser in the men’s bathroom at 100 W. Grove St.

Ovcers checked on a sus picious person in the park after hours at 10:07 p.m. at 100 W. Grove St. The person said he was waiting for his friends and left when they arrived.

Saturday, May 21

A missing person was reported at 10:42 a.m. at 402 N. Maple St. The resident was found and returned to the care center.

At 11:43 a.m., a woman reported that a vehicle attempted to hit her and her son while they were walking past McDonald’s. The woman, Ashley Vorass, 33, Altoona, had a felony failure to appear warrant from Wood County and was arrested.

Ovcers observed air – borne fireworks going ou at 9:16 p.m. at 345 E. Summit Ave. The person was warned for the violation.

A suspicious person was reported at 10:19 p.m. in the 100 block of North Maple Street. Ovcers saw a local man riding his bike down Main Street.

Sunday, May 22

Ovcers assisted Pierce County deputies with a motorcycle chase at 5:10 a.m. near Highway 65 and 820th Street in Beldenville. The motorcycle was last seen heading east on Highway 10.

At 2:51 p.m., police received a barking dog complaint from the 200 block of West Kinne Street. The complainant said the dog barks every day between 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The ovcer pa trolled the area but heard and saw nothing.
