PRESCOTT – Spring is here! Welcome back after spring break! Come join the Prescott Senior Gathering Place for some fun and interesting activities.

One of the important activities occurs this next week at noon and 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5. No, I am not talking about Election Day, but that is important also. What is happening is complementary noon lunch for all and then the Gathering Place annual meeting at 1 p.m. Come hear about what happened this past year and what is in store for us in the future.

The program and publicity committees will also meet earlier on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Gathering Place.

Wednesday, April 6 – We resume exercise and yoga, so come and work out the kinks of the past week! 9-10:30 a.m. is pickleball and walking. 11-11:30 a.m. is senior chair cardio, followed by yoga 11:30 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. Then join the card playing members for Euchre, Bridge or card game of your choice! This activity starts at 12:30 p.m. and ends by 3:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 7 – How-to day. Join us at 1 p.m. at Seven Sisters Greenhouse to plant your own planter. You can also carpool from Gathering Place. You must pre-register at the Gathering Place as numbers are limited. Bring your favorite pot(s) to Seven Sisters. Hanging pots as well as deck pots are good, or purchase one there. Cost is “pay as you plant;” soil is included. Staff will give you excellent guidance on what to plant; pots are kept there till the weather is ok to move outside. Always a fun intro to spring.
