A drug bust last week at a Prescott home in the St. Croix Bluffs neighborhood has neighbors angry and wanting a light shown on a home they say is a drug den.

Multiple people reached out to The Journal, under the condition of anonymity for safety reasons, to share their concerns about the home, which is not far from a popular neighborhood park.

“People on that block are seeing people come and go from that house like it was a takeout restaurant,” one resident said. “The more light we shine on this, the less hospitable it will be for people making bad decisions.”

Mark Gerald Suing is listed as the owner, according to Pierce County land records, of the home in question at 1813 Canton Road. He was busted for drugs in October 2024, making this the second time officers have made drug-related arrests at his residence.

Naima Anne Marie Claire Du Chatellier, 41, St. Paul Park, Minn., was ordered to pay $500 cash bond March 31 in Pierce County Circuit Court on felony possess with intent – amphetamine/methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor bail jumping and possess drug paraphernalia charges. She was also ordered to have no contact with the home’s resident, Mark Suing, or the residence itself at 1813 Canton Road. If convicted, she faces a maximum penalty of 12.5 years in prison and/or fines up to $25,000.

According to the complaint:

At 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, members of the St. Croix Valley Drug Task Force, Pierce County Sheriff’s Office and Prescott Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at 1813 Canton Road. Officers forced their way into the residence when no one answered the door.

Officers located Suing beneath the covers in an upstairs bedroom. It appeared he had slept through officers knocking, forced entry and continued announcements while clearing the residence.

Police located Du Chatellier hiding in a room/crawl space underneath the stairs in the lower level. She had an open case from October 2024 with conditions that she have no contact whatsoever with Suing. No one else was inside the home.

While police were standing in the kitchen with Du Chatellier, Suing was on the other side of the kitchen asking her why she was there. She told him in front of police that she was trying to gather some belongings. Police found suitcases containing women’s clothing in the back bedroom.

A search of the residence turned up more than 20 items of evidence that were seized, including a crystalline rock the size of a quarter in a desk drawer in a locked office, a scale coated with white residue that tested positive for meth, plastic baggies containing meth, a vial containing liquid meth and multiple smoking devices.

In the downstairs area, police found money printouts and fake checks, along with multiple IDs, checks and credit cards with different names on them. Du Chatellier’s face was on several fake IDs with different names. They also found a silver tray with white residue, tube smoking devices, gem baggies, containers with meth inside, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

Inside a safe in the garage, police found a plastic container holding several cell phone SIM cards and SD cards. Multiple cell phones were found throughout the home.

Both Du Chatellier and Suing refused to answer officers’ questions. However, Suing made comments that Du Chatellier, an alleged former roommate, was not supposed to be there. He complained of an infected cut on his leg, so EMS responded for an evaluation. The cut was severely infected, so EMS transported him to a hospital for medical treatment.

The report stated Suing will be charged with felony maintain drug trafficking place, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony bail jumping and possess drug paraphernalia resulting from the March 28 raid, which he was April 1. He posted a $10,000 signature bond. On Oct. 14, 2024, Suing posted a $20,000 signature bond on felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintain drug trafficking place, possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia charges.

According to the October complaint, Prescott police officers picked up two bags of garbage at 11:03 p.m. Sept. 17 at 1813 Canton Road after a suspect told them he’d used meth and stayed at the home. The garbage was placed in cans on the public street. Inside the bags, police found a hypodermic needle that tested positive for meth/MDMA.

At 7 p.m. Sept. 25, police went through three more garbage bags collected from the residence’s cans, in which they found hypodermic needle caps that tested positive for amphetamines/opioids and mail belonging to Suing. A third garbage pick up on Oct. 1 revealed a smoking device, multiple hypodermic needles that test positive for meth, a syringe and more mail belonging to Suing.

At 3 p.m. Oct. 10, police conducted a search warrant at 1813 Canton Road, at which point two other men plus Suing were found in the home. While searching Du Chatellier’s room (she was not home), police numerous items of drug paraphernalia, fake IDs and mail. She was later charged with posses drug paraphernalia. Inside the garage, officers found more drug paraphernalia. In Suing’s room, officers found a box of marijuana, meth in a backpack, used and unused hypodermic needles and multiple prescription bottles.

After his arrest, Suing agreed to speak with officers. He told them Du Chatellier and another roommate had been using meth by smoking or injections. He denied owning the meth or marijuana found in his bedroom and said the last time he’d used meth was in September.

During the search police also arrested a man named Quinten R. Colsen, 47, Staples, Minn., for felony possession of methamphetamine and possess drug paraphernalia. In his room, police found multiple drug paraphernalia items, scales, fake IDs, knives, other people’s personal information and a photo of Zerex antifreeze. On his person police located two baggies of meth and two fake IDs. He admitted to being a drug user and knowing about the drug activity in the house. He had been living there for about two months, he said.

Throughout the home, police found drug paraphernalia, meth, more than 120 grams of marijuana, and notebooks containing pages of people’s emails, passwords, phone numbers, addresses, dates of birth and social security numbers.

Du Chatellier is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 2:30 p.m. April 28. Suing's next court appearance is a status conference set for 2 p.m. April 29. Colsen is slated for a plea/sentencing hearing at 1 p.m. April 21.
