An 18-year-old Prescott man is being charged with two felonies related to an alleged sexual assault in his home.

Ayden Timothy Peterson posted a $75,000 signature bond April 15 in Pierce County Circuit Court on felony second degree sexual assault/use of force and felony false imprisonment charges. If convicted, the maximum penalty is 40 years in prison and/or fines up to $100,000.

According to the complaint:

At 9:14 p.m. April 1, police were dispatched to a local hospital for a sexual assault that had occurred around 6:30 p.m. at 177 Tower Heights Road in Prescott. The survivor told police she had gone to Peterson’s home to help him clean his car. They went inside because it was cold and the woman waited in Peterson’s room watching videos on her phone while he spoke to his mother.

When he came into the bedroom, Peterson put on a movie, pushed her phone out of her hand and pushed her down on the bed, she said. He threatened her not to yell or say anything while he assaulted her. He hid her phone under a pillow and at one point she blacked out. She was able to text a friend for help when she told Peterson her phone “was blowing up” and the friend called and made up a story so she could leave. She told officers she told Peterson “no” at least four times but he forced himself onto her.

When she left, she was able to drive herself directly to a hospital.

Peterson is scheduled to appear at a status conference at 8:45 a.m. May 16.
