A Prescott man convicted of rape is being sent to prison.
Ayden Timothy Peterson, 20, was convicted of felony second degree sexual assault/use of force Jan. 6 in Pierce County Circuit Court, sentenced to five years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision, fined $518, ordered to pay $1,487.47 in restitution and ordered to undergo sex offender therapy and treatment and comply with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program. A felony false imprisonment charge was dismissed.
According to the complaint:
At 9:14 p.m. April 1, 2o24, Prescott police were dispatched to investigate a sexual assault at 177 Tower Heights Road in Prescott. Hospital staff advised police a young woman had reported being raped at that address.
The woman told police that she went to Peterson’s house around 6:30 p.m. to help him clean his car. She went inside because it was cold out and waited in Peterson’s bedroom for him, where he told her to wait. When he came inside, she said he became upset with her for being on her phone and pushed her onto the bed. She said he pushed down on her chest and forehead, ripped her sweatpants down and assaulted her, at which point she blacked out. Prior to the assault, he warned her not to yell or say anything or they’d “have a problem.”
When she was conscious, she was able to text a code phrase to her friend signifying that she needed help. Peterson allowed her to answer her phone when the friend called and let her leave when she promised not to say anything. She drove herself to the hospital immediately and reported the assault.
