The following incidents were reported to Prescott Police Department Aug. 1-7, 2025.
Friday, Aug. 1
Steven Lee Warner, 70, Emerald, was cited for failure to display boat launch permit/fee at 7:29 a.m. at Ash and Front streets.
A vehicle theft was reported at 10:55 a.m. at 1600 Orrin Road. The case is under investigation.
Saturday, Aug. 2
Suspicious activity was reported at 12:30 a.m. at 114 Broad St.
Officers responded to a noise complaint at 3:21 a.m. at 650 Helen St., where they found multiple people having a pool party. They were warned.
David Robert Heil, 33, Otsego, Minn., was cited for speeding and warned for expired tags and operating left of center after a traffic stop at 7:15 a.m. at Warren and Jefferson streets.
Sunday, Aug. 3
Police were notified of a political sign theft at 10:06 a.m. at 150 S. Campbell St.
A bike theft was reported at 2:50 p.m. at 907 Pearl St. The case is under investigation.
Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash at 4:30 p.m. at 145 Broad St. The driver was Anne Elizabeth Markert, River Falls.
Police were dispatched to a complaint of a juvenile riding a motorized bicycle on the roadway at 6:13 p.m. at Albert and Pearl streets. Officers spoke to those involved about safety and laws.
Monday, Aug. 4
Police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 6:06 a.m. at Lake Street and Highway 10. One person was transported to the hospital.
A fraud complaint was called in at 12:31 p.m. at 241 Flora St. The case is under investigation.
Kirbey J. Weyandt, 37, St. Paul, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 2:45 p.m. at 570th Avenue and Jefferson Street.
William Edward Villarreal, 46, Hudson, was cited for non-registration of vehicle after a traffic stop at 3:11 p.m. at Eagle Ridge Drive and Highway 29.
Police conducted a welfare check at 7:47 p.m. at 1028 Borner St. No distress was noted.
Officers responded at 8:55 p.m. to 675 Laura St. for a disorderly person. People came to an agreement to remain separated and contact their landlord.
Oghenenyerhovwo Shalom Omafuaire, 25, Woodbury, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 10:42 p.m. at Kinnickinnic and Broad streets.
Tuesday, Aug. 5
Abel Campos, 34, Bloomington, Minn., was cited for operate without valid license after a traffic stop at 6:42 a.m. at Highway 10 and Dexter Street.
Officers responded to a crash at 11:58 a.m. at 1200 Henry St.
Police were dispatched to a noise complaint at 12:36 p.m. at 475 Walter St. The subject agreed to turn the music down.
A 17-year-old Prescott juvenile was cited for purchase/possess tobacco (juvenile) at 1:10 p.m. at 354 Elm St.
Police found an open door at 3:21 p.m. at 1339 Orrin Road. An employee said they’d be right over to close up.
Michael William Staggs, 53, Scandia Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 3:54 p.m. at Warren and Jefferson streets.
Wednesday, Aug. 6
Christopher Alvin Linder, 46, Ellsworth, was issued a written warning for improperly attached license plates after a traffic stop at 6:09 a.m. at Highway 10 and Lake St.
Andrew Kenneth Selle, 43, Eagan, Minn., was issued a written warning for operate vehicle with improper colored lights after a traffic stop at 6:22 a.m. at Cherry Street and Highway 10.
Angela Marie Geister, 45, Prescott, was cited for windshields – tinting/critical area after a traffic stop at 10:17 a.m. at Eagle Ridge Drive and Highway 29. She was also issued written warnings for vent/side window excessive tinting, rear side window excessive tinting and rear window excessive tinting.
Tyler Phillip Schrenkler, 37, Woodbury, Minn., was cited for parking in fire lane after a traffic stop at 12:28 p.m. at Broad and Orange streets.
Daniel Paul Dehamer, 70, Hastings, Minn., was issued a written warning for speeding after a traffic stop at 1:20 p.m. at Lawrence and Jefferson streets.
Residents were warned for an illegal burn at 2:03 p.m. at 1654 Jewel St.
Police received a report of harassing text messages at 3:59 p.m. at 735 Shane Park Circle. Both parties agreed to cease contact.
Officers were dispatched to an unwanted subject at 6:56 p.m. at 319 Locust St. N. A trespassing warning was issued.
John Joseph Smith, 74, Trempealeau, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 8:58 p.m. at Jefferson and Monroe streets.
Katerine Guanolvisa, 23, Minneapolis, was cited for operate without valid license and operating a motor vehicle without insurance after a traffic stop at 11:37 p.m. at Cherry Street and Highway 10.
Thursday, Aug. 7
Chadwick Michael Urlaub, 61, West Fargo, ND, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 1:12 a.m. at Lawrence and Jefferson streets.
At 7:22 p.m., officers took a report of a broken windshield at 101 Front St.
Hanna Sharon Sorum, 25, Nevis, Minn., was cited for operate without valid license after a traffic stop at 8:19 p.m. at Warren and Jefferson streets.
Jefferson Andres Vega Lagla, 30, Minneapolis, was arrested for OWI-second and cited for possession of THC and deviation from designated lane after a traffic stop at 10:57 p.m. at Dexter Street and Ryden Road.
