The following incidents were reported to Prescott Police Department May 30 through June 5, 2025.

Friday, May 30

  • Brooks Edward Grove, 54, La Crosse, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 8:37 p.m. at 570th Avenue and Lawrence Street.
  • John Donald Strei, 61, St. Paul, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 11:33 p.m. at Kinnickinnic and Broad streets.
  • Police responded at 11:44 p.m. at 114 Broad St. for a disorderly subject. Jason John Zambrano, 51, St. Paul Park, Minn., was arrested for disorderly conduct.

 

Saturday, May 31

  • Officers conducted a welfare check at 6:16 a.m. at 331 Locust St. N. Everything appeared to be fine.
  • Blair Nicole Sharp, 39, Rochester, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 12:55 p.m. at 570th Avenue and Jefferson Street.
  • Raymond Palmer Borg, Prescott, reported a hit and run at 3:41 p.m. at Ash and Front streets.
  • Officers responded to a noise complaint at 9:32 p.m. at 334 N. Elm St. Family and friends were watching a movie outside with the volume on high. They were told to turn it down.

 

Sunday, June 1

  • At 2:05 a.m., police found a drunk man in a front yard at Kinnickinnic and Flora streets. He did not want to identify himself.
  • Police received an anonymous burning complaint at 5:33 p.m. at 1357 Walnut St. The homeowner said he was burning sticks from a tree he had cut down. He was advised of the burning ordinance.
  • Stanislav Kargna, 33, Arlington Heights, Ill., received a traffic citation after a traffic stop at 11:49 p.m. at Highway 10 and Dexter Street.

Monday, June 2

  • Police were advised of a suspicious person at 12:51 p.m. at Prescott Family Dental (1015 Campbell St. N.) No one matching the description was found.
  • Officers assisted Pierce County deputies with a K9 sniff at 12:51 p.m. at Highway 10 and Dexter Street.
  • Brittany Christine Witzke, 47, Bay City, was cited for non-registration of vehicle and warned for speeding and excessive window tint after a traffic stop at 3:09 p.m. at 1120 Highway 10.
  • Lavren Rose Yoch, 19, White Bear Lake, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 8:34 p.m. at Kinnickinnic and Broad streets.
  • Police received a suspicious activity report at 8:42 p.m. at 912 River Terrace St. Two males were going door-to-door.
  • Police conducted a welfare check on a suspicious vehicle at 9:20 p.m. at Northern Lights and Pleasant drives. The vehicle was picking up workers doing door-to-door sales.

 

Tuesday, June 3

  • Mark Anthony Smith, 38, West St. Paul, Minn., was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle after a traffic stop at 10:27 a.m. at 241 Broad St. N.
  • At 9:49 p.m., a caller reported a group of juveniles banging on his door and running away at 470 Monroe St. No one was found.

 

Wednesday, June 4

Officers were dispatched to a home alarm at 12:53 a.m. at 360 S. Flora St. Everything appeared to be secure.

 

Thursday, June 5

  • Juan Carlos Vega, 47, Minneapolis, was cited for operate without valid license and warned for inoperable headlight and no proof of insurance after a traffic stop at 1:51 a.m. at Eagle Ridge Drive and Highway 29.
  • Officers observed someone sleeping in a car at 2:07 a.m. at 1120 Pearl St. They were told they can’t sleep overnight in the Park & Ride lot.
  • At 12:29 p.m., officers and the fire department escorted the Prescott High School track team for a state sendoff.
  • Matthew Thomas Green, 25, Mounds View, Minn., was cited for an equipment violation after a traffic stop at 12:39 p.m. at 570th Avenue and Jefferson Street.
  • Police received an animal complaint at 12:40 p.m. at 236 Broad St. Nothing was found.
  • Officers responded to a call about threats made at 5:01 p.m. at 110 Cherry St. The case is under investigation.
  • Roxanne Pots, 61, Onalaska, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 8:21 p.m. at Jefferson and Monroe streets.
