Voters in three local municipalities headed to the polls Tuesday, Feb. 15 to narrow the field of candidates who will appear on the April 5 ballot: River Falls City Council Alderperson-at-Large, Elmwood School Board and Spring Valley School Board.

Election results are unofficial until canvassed. Incumbents are marked with the letter (i). Those who will be in the April 5 ballot are marked with an asterisk (*).

River Falls

Two alderperson-at-large seats are up for grabs April 5. Five candidates declared their candidacy, so the primary election has narrowed the field down. The four candidates receiving the most votes move onto the April 5 ballot, meaning challenger Jacob Proue has been eliminated.

Scott Morrissette (i) – 431* Jeff Bjork – 399* Michael Metro – 301* Benjamin Blanchard – 71* Jacob Proue – 63 Spring Valley Eight candidates threw their hats in the ring for three open seats on the Spring Valley School Board. The six candidates receiving the most votes will move and be listed on the April 5 ballot. Incumbent Brian T. Wang and challenger Jon Erickson were eliminated.

The field has been narrowed from five candidates to four for two open seats on the Elmwood School Board. Challenger Gared R. Pieper was eliminated.
