The River Falls FFA Alumni are proud of all students who competed and are excited to report the results of our chapter FFA students at local level speaking competition, which took place Feb. 21 at St. Croix Central High School.
Leadership and Career Development Events (LDE and CDE) events are open to participating FFA members in grades 7-12. During these events, students are challenged in developing critical thinking, effective decision making, and improving communication skills while also recognizing the value of ethical competition. These LDE and CDE events are held at the local, state, and national levels.
The speaking contest is a segment of the LDE competition; some of the speaking opportunities include employment skills, extemporaneous FFA creed, and discussion.
The results are as follows:
Employment skills:
First place - Isabella Davenport
Second place - Keirka Kretzmann
Discussion:
First place - Maria Luther
FFA Creed:
First place - Addy Johnson
Second place - Annabelle Olsen
All five students will advance to the next round. A hearty congratulations and well done to our students!
