RIVER FALLS – The River Falls Public Library (140 Union St.) will host its annual Winter Open House 12-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, which is free and open to the public.
The event will feature live music, refreshments, crafts, performances by the River Falls High School Costumed Carolers and the Winsome Hollow String Band, henna art, face painting, games with Fox Den Books and live reindeer. Everyone is encouraged to stop in and vote for their favorite Gingerbread creation throughout the day.
At 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9, watch a live, interactive screening with author Abby Jimenez in the lower level community room, or at home on the library’s Facebook page or YouTube channel.
Jimenez is a New York Times bestselling author, Food Network champion and founder of Nadia Cakes. Chapter2Books will be at the event selling books.
Al & Mrs. Al’s Kettle Corn will be selling bags of kettle corn in the lobby from 3-7 p.m. for $6 per bag while supply lasts.
