RIVER FALLS – The River Falls American Legion invites the community to its inaugural Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, Oct. 30.
The event will feature a casual 5k “Volksmarch” (peoples’ walk), leaving from the Post at 701 N. Main at 10 a.m. A traditional “Biergarten” will open at 11 a.m., featuring authentic brats, German beer and more.
All are welcome, whether they participate in the walk or not. The event is jointly hosted by Post 121 and the UW-River Falls Military Science and Leadership Club.

FBLA to host 41st annual craft fair!
RIVER FALLS – The River Falls High School Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is hosting its 41st annual Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the River Falls High School, located at 818 Cemetery Road, River Falls. There is no admission charge.
The event started in 1980 with 15 exhibitors. Now, 40 years later, there will be more than 75 exhibitors offering a wide variety of holiday and other hand-made crafts. This is a perfect opportunity for early holiday shopping._ There will be a variety of food options such as homemade soups and sandwiches available. There is also childcare from 9 a.m. to noon.
The FBLA team gives high school students hands-on experience in business development and community service. Proceeds from the Craft Fair are used to fund student activities including local, state and national leadership conferences.
