Main St. between a 2017 Chevy Trax, driven by Peter Michael Stafki, 74, Beldenville, and a 2011 Chevy Malibu, driven by Gavin Jacob Ballard, 26, Houlton. Stafki was backing up the hill into the parking lot (east) while Ballard was driving west through the lot. • Police were dispatched at 1:23 a.m. to 353 Nicole Lane for a noise complaint. The caller said her neighbor was banging around in her apartment and yelling. She was upset because she said this happens nearly every night. Police stood outside the apartment and heard the woman sporadically yelling inside. The woman refused to answer the door but called 911 at 2:55 a.m. to ask why police had been knocking on her door. Beatta Keehr Christofferson, 68, River Falls, was cited $124 for loud and unnecessary noise. She has an extensive history of noise complaints and wrongful use of 911.
  • Officers were notified of a hit and run at 12:37 p.m. at 1777 Paulson Road. An unknown vehicle struck a legally parked 2024 Ram 2500, owned by James G. Harker, 45, causing minor damage. There are no suspects.
  • McKenzie Marie Mancini, 34, River Falls, was cited $187 for possession of THC after a traffic stop for failing to move over for a stopped emergency vehicle at 9:13 p.m. at Main and Union streets. Mancini failed to move over while an officer was on another traffic stop; had he gotten into his driver’s side door, he would have been crushed between her car and his. Her vehicle smelled of marijuana; police located a THC cart and marijuana in the vehicle.

Officers pursued Spencer Jerry Levasseur, 21, Monticello, Minn., on Highway 35 to Hudson into Minnesota at speeds up to 130 mph. He told his girlfriend, who he had been calling repeatedly, that he might kill himself by crashing his truck. An officer got on the phone and convinced him to pull over.
