Police responded to an active fight at 2:37 a.m. at Nutty Squirrel (110 S. Main St.) After multiple interviews with managers and staff, police learned that Noah Brien Stuart, 22, River Falls, had entered the bar and was causing a disturbance. He allegedly asked Anthony Steven Krauss, 31, River Falls, to kiss him. The two allegedly exchanged insults and began to argue, which turned into a physical fight. Stuart then told the bar manager he had lost his phone, who said he would go inside and try to find it while Stuart stayed outside. When he told Stuart he couldn’t find the phone, he said Stuart sucker punched him and the two fell down two steps in the back of the bar. The bar manager said this caused him to fall into the dartboards and that Stuart got on top of him and started hitting him while Krauss tried to fight with Stuart. Krauss fled the bar when police were called because of being on probation; the bar manager admitted to leaving Krauss out of his initial story to police as they are friends. Stuart, who had multiple injuries to his face, was extremely intoxicated and incoherent. While being transported to Pierce County Jail, he became enraged and started screaming at officers, threatening to skin their family members and spitting. He said he was so angry he could kill someone. At the jail he registered a .208 BAC. After medical clearance at the hospital, he was taken back to the jail. A felony threat to officers charge was added to his battery and disorderly conduct charges.
