Monday, May 9

At 3:13 a.m., police checked on a woman who was reported to be trying to flag people down near N1833 785

th St., Hager City. The woman said she was walking home from work and wished to continue her walk. At 12:23 p.m., police were sent to the area of High – way 63 and County Road VV in Hager City for a vehicle driving down the road that was on fire. Police assisted Ellsworth Fire as needed and State Patrol completed the crash report. A caller reported a catalyt – ic converter theft at 1:44 p.m. from N8232 945

th St., River Falls. Police responded at 2:29 p.m. to 104 Cherry Ave., Plum City, for an altercation between a woman and her roommate. The suspect left the scene but was found and questioned. Both declined to write statements but admit – ted the fight turned physical. At 2:35 p.m., a caller re – quested extra patrol along Highway 29 in the Spring Valley area due to suspected drug activity. A caller reported a sus – picious vehicle at 3:42 p.m. that had been in the area of County Road W and 870

Avenue, River Falls, two days prior. A homeowner, who was not home at the time, called police to report an unwanted person at her home at 4:11 p.m. at W6380 Pepin St., Bay City. Police made con – tact with the woman, who was told she was not wel – come and had to leave. She left without incident.

th Avenue, Maiden Rock, for a tractor/ trailer that had gotten stuck in a field road ditch. Polzer Bros. was called for a tow. At 6:46 p.m., a caller re – ported suspicious activity at W7889 County Road KK, Ellsworth. A vehicle had pulled into the caller's drive – way to look at a vehicle on a trailer. Police were asked to re –

th spond at 7 p.m. to N5335 760 St., Ellsworth, for a disgruntled client. Police arrived and spoke with the house manager, who deter – mined stau would meet to come up with a positive solu tion.

Deputies were called at 8:01 p.m. to County Road A and Highway 35, Maiden Rock, for a tree in the road –

way. Police checked on a vehi – cle parked at 8:09 p.m. near Highway 63 and 390

th Ave – nue, Ellsworth. People were there taking photos of foxes. Ocers responded at 11:17 p.m. to 104 Cherry Ave., Plum City, for a phys – ical domestic. The caller said a woman had been assaulted by a man who then fled the scene. The man was locat –

ed later and arrested for do – mestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery and misde – meanor bail jumping (two counts).

Police were called at 11:50 p.m. to examine a tree in the roadway near N7667 910

th St., River Falls. The township was able to remove it.

Tuesday, May 10

Deputies were dispatched at 4:11 a.m. to a report of a tank in the road near Coun – ty Road VV and Highway 35, Hager City. The highway department was called to re – move it. A catalytic converter theft was reported at 7:30 a.m. at N352 McKay Ave., Spring Valley. A caller reported contin – uous suspicious activity at 8:23 a.m. at W3693 Second St., Maiden Rock. Deputies responded at 6:11 p.m. to 420 E. Main St., Ellsworth, for an alarm. A man was fixing the ATM and police verified his cre – dentials. At 11:48 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Broad Street and Highway 10 to assist Prescott police in finding a vehicle that had fled from Dakota County into Wisconsin. picious activity. The com – plainant said someone had driven into the driveway and parked in the ditch. The sus –

pect said he was turkey hunt ing. Police stopped and spoke with a UTV operator who was driving on Highway 10 at 9:34 a.m. The operator had an agriculture stick and was within the law. A suspicious vehicle parked on the property was reported at 11:56 a.m. near 760

th avenues, Spring Valley. The land own – er confirmed the person had permission to turkey hunt. A caller reported a downed tree with power lines under it at 10:09 p.m. near N1023 825

th St., Hager City. The township and Xcel Energy were contacted to clear the road. At 10:13 p.m., a caller reported a tree all the way across the road near county road CC and H near Maiden Rock. The highway depart –

ment was contacted for re – moval. Ocers were called at 10:23 p.m. to county road S and CC near Maiden Rock for downed power line on the road and trees on pow – er lines. The lines and trees were later removed. A caller reported a tree across the roadway at 10:25 p.m. near N7157 820

th St., Maiden Rock, for a power line over the road. The lines were removed and the road cleared. A tree was removed from the road at 10:55 p.m. near 210

th Ave – nue, Maiden Rock. Deputies assisted the fire department at 10:12 p.m. at W6305 Main St., Bay City. State Patrol reported a tree on the road at 11:24 p.m. near 890

A caller reported trees down in the road and the road closed at 12:02 a.m. at Pine Avenue and Hill Road in Plum City. Police responded at 1:36 a.m. to Highway 63 and 390

Avenue, Ellsworth, for a ve – hicle in the ditch. The driver was found a short distance away and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle. A caller reported water over the bridge at 3:10 a.m. at 535

th Ave – nue, Spring Valley. Another caller reported water over the road at 3:24 a.m. near W5080 730

th Ave., Spring Valley. The township put out barricades. At 8:18 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of 280

th Avenue and Highway 10, Plum City, for a naked man walking near the high – way. Police found him and he was shirtless, not naked. He was walking from his res – idence into town to go to a restaurant. Water was running over the road on 450

At 9:45 a.m., water and trees were reported to be over the bridge just east of W3816 465

th Ave., Ellsworth. The road was not passable and the residence had no access due to the driveway being underwater. A caller reported wa – ter and debris running over both bridges north of 430

th Street near Ellsworth. The road was still passable but unsafe. A catalytic converter theft was reported at 4:14 p.m. at W1079 Red Fox Run, Spring Valley. Police responded to a hit and run at 6:16 p.m. at 1003 First St., Plum City. Police were unable to locate the oth – er driver. Ocers responded to a home alarm at 7:47 p.m. at N7480 County Road BB, Spring Valley. When police arrived, they observed a truck backed up to an open garage door. The truck fled the scene and police couldn't catch up. Police later took a burglary report from the homeowner. Deputies were called at 8:41 p.m. to N6424 County Road E, River Falls, to help locate a pet snake in the res –

idence. The caller was given advice on how to catch the pet since deputies were tied up with other calls.

Friday, May 13

St., Ellsworth, for cows that were out. The owner was able to get most of them back onto his property but was still missing a few. At 7:12 p.m., police were called to N5335 760

th St., Ellsworth, for a disorderly person/welfare check. The complainant requested to leave the residence via am –

bulance to Red Wing. Ocers checked on a sus – picious vehicle at 11:10 p.m. at W5706 Highway 72, Ells –

worth. The vehicle was run ning with its lights on. The occupant said she was wait –

ing for her daughter.

Saturday, May 14

Police checked on a suspi – cious vehicle at 4:56 a.m. at N3599 County Road A, Ells – worth. The vehicle was gone when police arrived. Deputies responded to a report of a large downed tree at 6:57 a.m. near Coun –

ty Road A and 330

th Avenue, Maiden Rock. The highway department removed it with a plow truck. A caller reported a pos –

sible civil/trespassing com – plaint at 7:38 a.m. at N7699 50

th St., Spring Valley. Police were called at 8:03 a.m. to the boat landing in Hager City, where a back – pack had been located in the Mississippi River. It con – tained THC paraphernalia, which was seized. Deputies were request- ed to check on a hole in the roadway at 10:43 a.m. near 190

th Avenue and County Road U, Plum City. The hole appeared after a recent heavy rain. The highway depart – ment filled and marked the hole while police assisted with emergency lights. A caller reported a suspi – cious vehicle parked along the side of the road at 1:48 p.m. near 610

th Avenue, Ellsworth. The driver was passed out in the driver's seat of the running vehicle. Field sobriety tests were conducted and the po – lice arrested the driver for OWI-second. Ocers were called at 5:59 p.m. to N1415 830

th St., Hager City, for a possi – ble drug overdose. A woman there was taken to the hospi –

tal.

Sunday, May 15

A person flagged down police at 2:57 am. In the 400 block of West Main Street, Ellsworth. They had just been released from jail and needed a ride to their resi dence.

Police were called at 1:46 p.m. to investigate juveniles doing burnouts in the road –

way near W9668 290

th Ave., Hager City. The juveniles left before police arrived. At 5:46 p.m., a caller reported trespassing that had occurred on his land at N3367 Highway 35, Hager City, the day before. He had trail camera photos of people taking watercress from his property.

At 6:18 p.m., police re – sponded to W11705 County Road FF, River Falls, for a suspicious activity report. A vehicle was driving in the parking lot and several males kept getting in and out of the vehicle. The driver said he was teaching his juveniles sons how to drive. Police were called at 6:20 p.m. to County Road EE and Highway 35, Bay City, where a tree had fallen into the road and struck a vehicle. The ve – hicle had little damage but was leaking oil. The tree was moved out of the trac lane and the highway department notified. Ocers were called at 6:39 p.m. to a damaged ve – hicle complaint at W2255 Highway 72, Elmwood. Deputies responded to a vehicle fire at 7:04 p.m. at N6133 825
