Pierce County Sheriff’s OfThe following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Feb. 22 through March 1.
Tuesday, Feb. 22
Deputies responded at 3:30 a.m. to W3875 750th Ave., Spring Valley, where the called said his neighbor’s dog ran inside his house. Police made contact with the neighbor after he had retrieved the animal. He said he’d do a better job of keeping the dog on his property.
Officers responded to vehicle slide-ins at 11:10 a.m. near Highway 29 and County Road E and at 11:13 a.m. at Highway 65 and 760th Avenue.
At 11:33 a.m., police assisted a driver whose vehicle was stuck in the middle of the road at Highway 35 and 370th Avenue near Prescott.
The Highway Department reported an abandoned vehicle in the road at 2:08 p.m. near 1090th Street and Highway 29, River Falls. The owner was cited for abandoned motor vehicle.
At 3:08 p.m., a caller at W8638 174th Ave., Hager City, reported his neighbor had driven onto his lawn and driveway with his tractor and back blade. The neighbor said he was plowing another neighbor’s driveway and got stuck. He said he had to drive onto the caller’s property in order to get out of the snow. No damage was caused, but the caller was not happy.
Police responded at 3:43 p.m. to Highway 35 and 468th Avenue, Prescott, for a vehicle slide-in. They stayed on scene until a tow arrived.
Police located a downed stop sign at 4:10 p.m. at Highway 35 and County Road E near Prescott. A highway department plow truck had hit the sign.
A semi- tractor and trailer got stuck on a hill at 4:23 p.m. at Highway 35 and 1050th Street near Prescott. Officers assisted with traffic control until the Highway Department could get out and clear the road.
Police received a call at 4:52 p.m. about a vehicle that had been parking in the parking lot at W2555 Highway 29, Spring Valley, all day with its door hanging open. The owner stated his son was driving it and they would move the vehicle.
Officers responded to a car in the ditch at 5:52 p.m. at Highway 63 and County Road J near Martell. A tow removed the vehicle.
A tow removed a vehicle in the ditch at 7:45 p.m. at N7433 County Road O, River Falls.
Police responded at 8:04 p.m. to Highway 29 and 170th Street, Spring Valley, for a car that had struck a guardrail.
At 8:25 p.m., officers stopped at the scene of a vehicle slide-in at 450th Street and Highway 29, Spring Valley. The plates did not match the vehicle and police couldn’t make contact with a driver. The vehicle was towed.
Officers responded to a vehicle slide-in with damage at 8:44 p.m. at Highway 35 and County Road E near Prescott.
Deputies responded at 9:06 p.m. to N8652 940th St., River Falls, for a domestic. A couple had argued about the woman getting a ride back home. The man admitted to drinking, which was a bail bond violation. The parties separated for the evening, but officers were called back to the address at 11:12 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 23
Officers responded at 7 a.m. to W5504 County Road G, Ellsworth, for an abandoned vehicle. The owner said it would be removed later in the day.
Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 9:40 a.m. at Highway 35 and 1220th Street, Prescott. A crash report was completed. Another onevehicle crash occurred at the same location at 10:29 a.m.
Police responded to a onevehicle crash at 10:50 a.m. at Highway 35 and 770th Street, Hager City. The driver slid on the icy roadway, entered the ditch and collided with a wooden stop sign post. There were no injuries.
At 11:01 a.m., police were called to N8052 510th St., Spring Valley, for a fraud complaint. The complainant said her husband had purchased items from a company and received an empty box. She was advised to contact the company.
Officers were dispatched to a civil matter between relatives at 1:15 p.m. at N7987 870th St., River Falls. Options were explained to both parties.
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a pursuit and traffic stop at 7:48 p.m. near Lawrence and Jefferson streets. A woman was arrested.
Police assisted the fire department with a chimney fire at 10:15 p.m. at W3925 Highway 72, Ellsworth.
Deputies assisted Prescott police with a physical altercation at 10:24 p.m. at 878 Washington St. A deputy located one of the suspects who had fled the residence and transported him to jail.
Thursday, Feb. 24
At 8:40 a.m., a caller reported a drone flying close to her house at W6439 690th Ave., Beldenville.
Officers came upon a vehicle that had slid into the ditch at 9:29 a.m. near 650th Street and Highway 29, River Falls. The officer followed the foot tracks to a nearby residence and spoke with the owner, who had called a tow company. She had lost control on the slick road.
A caller reported a gun theft at 2:04 p.m. at W5196 330th Ave., Bay City.
Deputies reported to a vehicle slide-in at 4:27 p.m. near Highway 10 and County Road E, Hager City. Wisconsin State Patrol also responded.
Officers provided lights while a vehicle in the ditch was towed at 5:58 p.m. near County Road W and 770th Avenue, River Falls.
Police were called to a semi vs. power pole crash at 7:15 p.m. at County Road F and 820th Avenue, River Falls. EMS transported the driver to the hospital. The semi was towed.
Officers observed a vehicle in the ditch that was occupied at 9:54 p.m. near County Road J and Highway 65, Beldenville. The driver was given a courtesy ride to their residence.
Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 11:11 p.m. near 850th Avenue and Highway 63, Spring Valley.
Police were sent to an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch reported by a tow company at 11:12 p.m. near Highway 35 and 468th Avenue, Prescott. The vehicle appeared to have no damage and was towed the next day.
Friday, Feb. 25
Deputies were called at 5:15 a.m. to a truck in the ditch near County Road EE and 170th Avenue, Bay City. The owner was notified and said the driver was an employee.
Officers responded to a truck and trailer in the ditch at 5:56 a.m. near County Road A and 270th Avenue, Maiden Rock. The truck couldn’t make the hill and in the process of backing down it, went in the ditch and got stuck. A tow was called.
Police located a vehicle in the ditch at 7:31 a.m. near Highway 29 and 620th Street, River Falls. The vehicle had knocked down a stop sign.
Deputies were called to a single-vehicle slide-in with no damage at 9 a.m. at Highway 65 and County Road W, Beldenville.
Police were dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover with injury at 9:41 a.m. near Highway 63 and 830th Street, Hager City.
Officers stopped to assist a vehicle stuck in a driveway at 6:09 p.m. at West Grove and North Chestnut streets in Ellsworth. A neighbor also helped push the vehicle out.
Police stopped to help with traffic control at the scene of a snowmobile trailer that had broken an axel at 6:36 p.m. near Highway 63 and 825th Street, Hager City. The trailer was towed.
Deputies checked on a vehicle pulled to the side of the road at 7:28 p.m. on Highway 63 at 825th Street, Hager City. The driver had run out of gas and was arrested for OWIfirst.
Saturday, Feb. 26
Police checked on a truck that had gone into the ditch at 12:16 a.m. near County Road QQ and 1090th Street, Prescott. A tow removed it.
Officers assisted Ellsworth police at 1:08 a.m. at 191 Evergreen Estates St. with a man who was violating bond conditions.
A deputy attempted to stop at vehicle for speeding at 3:10 a.m. near W9724 Highway 35, Hager City. The vehicle fled.
Deputies assisted Dunn County deputies with a onevehicle rollover and arrest at 6:30 a.m. at 225 N. Woodworth St., Elmwood.
Officers were called at 8:17 a.m. to W11014 Highway 29, River Falls, where vehicles were parked on the road blocking traffic. The people were hunting. Police warned them for parking on the road and impeding traffic and reminded them about hunting laws.
A caller reported at 8:17 a.m. that suspicious vehicles have been on the road near her house at N218 130th St., Stockholm. She believed it was members of her late husband’s family trying to get her arrested. She was advised to call police if the vehicles return.
Police were called at 10:51 a.m. to Maple Avenue and First Street in Plum City for trespassers. They admitted not knowing who owned the land and how they got there; they received a warning.
At 2:26 p.m., police received a complaint about a black and white Border Collie playing with cars on the highway at W11408 Highway 35, Prescott. The dog was put in the owner’s garage and a message left.
Officers responded at 6:56 p.m. to W7707 130th Ave., Hager City, for a vehicle stuck in the yard. There was no damage and a tow winched it out.
Police responded at 7:13 p.m. to W9980 320th Ave., Hager City, for a fire alarm. The kitchen was full of smoke from a small grease fire in the oven that had been taken care of.
Deputies observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway at 10:12 p.m. at N7750 Highway 65, River Falls. They checked the area and all buildings appeared secure.
Sunday, Feb. 27
An assault was reported at 1:59 a.m. at N1620 County Road VV, Hager City.
Deputies assisted correctional staff with unruly inmates during the booking process at 2:15 a.m. after they had been arrested at 117 Broad St., Prescott. Deputies were called to the jail again at 3:39 a.m. to assist with an unruly inmate.
Officers located a vehicle in the ditch at 9:27 a.m. that had jumped over a side road at County Road QQ and 1090th Street, Prescott. The driver was cited for failure to keep control of a vehicle.
A caller reported a two-vehicle crash without injury at 4:35 p.m. at W6570 County Road N, Beldenville.
Police received a complaint at 5 p.m. about an intoxicated man walking down the middle of the road near 1100th and 1130th streets, Prescott. Police checked the area but found no one.
A caller at 6:24 p.m. requested extra patrol at W1671 560th Ave., Elmwood, because of a suspicious man.
Deputies assisted River Falls police with an unruly customer at 8:30 p.m. at 1238 N. Main St.
