The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Dec. 13-20.

Monday, Dec. 13

A deputy responded at 4:04 a.m. to 160 W. Hines St., Ellsworth, for a possible noise complaint. The officer heard no music, but asked the resident to keep it down.

Police located a juvenile who left school in Plum City without permission at 1:17 p.m. The juvenile was turned over to mom.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police at 6:01 p.m. at 424 W. Industrial Road, Ellsworth, with a suspicious call.

At 7:03 p.m., police checked on a man at the side of the road near W3334 Highway 35, Maiden Rock. He said he had a friend coming with a spare tire.

At 9:21 p.m., police located a deer off the road at County Road O and Highway 35 that had likely been hit by a vehicle. When the officer approached, the deer got up and ran into the woods.

Tuesday, Dec. 14

Police responded at 1:14 a.m. for a welfare check near W7798 570th Ave., Ellsworth, for a man lying in the road who said he’d “lost all hope.” He was given a courtesy ride to the hospital.

Deputies assisted Prescott police at 7:39 a.m. at Broad and Orange streets with a traffic stop.

At 9:42 a.m., a bar owner reported he has someone on camera stealing two packs of cigarettes from a bartender’s purse at W7409 Highway 65, Beldenville. The complainant requested the man return the cigarettes and/or pay for them. He also wanted the man trespassed from the bar.

Deputies were asked to perform a welfare check at 9:42 a.m. on someone in one of the apartments at N1090 825th St., Hager City. The woman hadn’t been seen since Friday. No forwarding address or working phone number were available.

Officers were notified of a car vs. mailbox crash at 12:25 p.m. at W3528 850th Ave., Spring Valley. There were no injuries.

At 2:05 p.m., police responded to W11983 820th Ave., River Falls, where they collected statements and photos of a vehicle from which a purse was stolen.

Police were called about a trespassing complaint at 2:15 p.m. at W3302 Highway 35, Maiden Rock.

Officers responded at 5:53 p.m. to W9590 295th Ave., Hager City, for an unknown unwanted person. It turned out to be the caller’s granddaughter, who she allowed to stay.

At 6:09 p.m., an employee called police from W6324 Highway 35, Bay City, because a man was sitting in a car while she was closing the store. He left before police arrived.

At 7:18 p.m., police located a car parked in the PCSO lot with plates that didn’t match the vehicle type. The driver was attempting to visit an inmate and had a warrant himself. Police arrested him and walked him to the jail.

A woman called at 8:09 p.m. to report a verbal argument that had occurred hours prior at N4961 750th St., Ellsworth. She didn’t know where the man went but thought he took a gun. She later found the gun. Police spoke to both parties who said it was nothing more than a verbal argument.

A driver was arrested for a failure to appear warrant, possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 11:43 p.m. near W6454 Highway 35, Bay City, for no valid driver’s license. The driver was also cited for operating without a license and suspended vehicle registration.

Wednesday, Dec. 15

Police responded at 2:11 a.m. to W10640 Highway 10, Prescott, for cattle in the road. All cattle were returned to the proper spot.

Officers received a suspicious loud truck complaint at 2:55 a.m. near County Road A and Highway 35, Maiden Rock. The complainant said the truck kept driving around.

Deputies responded at 6:50 a.m. to a truck vs. cow crash at N3937 690th St., Ellsworth. The driver was not injured.

At 10:34 a.m., police spoke with a woman concerned about no one seeing her son since Sunday, at W5398 Highway 29, Spring Valley. Police contacted multiple people but no one had seen him lately. The man’s father said this has happened before and isn’t unusual.

A fraudulent checks complaint was made by a River City Metals employee at 11:05 a.m. at N3941 Highway 35, Prescott. Two fraudulent checks were cashed in November.

At 12:12 p.m., police checked on a man who appeared to flagging down the officer in the 300 block of North Maple Street. The man said he was just waving. He was pulling a hand cart with a cardboard box, a black plastic bag and a DeWalt tool bag. He said he was moving to Minnesota and was headed to a friend’s house, though he declined to provide the friend’s name or address. He appeared to be under the influence.

Police arrested a person at 2:06 p.m. at W10807 566th Ave., Prescott, for a Ramsey County, Minn. warrant.

A caller reported a kitten up a tree at 4:18 p.m. at N8649 50th St., Spring Valley. Spring Valley Fire declined responding. The caller was given other options to try.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at 5:49 p.m. at W9276 640th Ave., Ellsworth. The vehicle was not located.

Police arrested a man for a Dunn County warrant at 8:03 p.m. at W3735 270th Ave., Maiden Rock.

A caller reported a downed siren pole at 8:48 p.m. near N3814 County Road OO, Hager City. The highway department plowed the pole off the road.

Pepin County reported a downed tree across the road at 9:03 p.m. at county roads SS and UU near Plum City. The highway department removed the tree.

Deputies assisted River Falls Fire at a vehicle fire at 9:08 p.m. at N8025 925th St., River Falls.

Police removed a tree from the road at 11:26 p.m. near W8053 290th Ave., Hager City.

Officers assisted with a tree in the road at 11:56 p.m. near South Third Street and East Cascade Avenue in River Falls.

Thursday, Dec. 16

A deputy removed a tree in the road at 12:31 a.m. near County Road CC and Highway 72 near Elmwood.

Police stayed on the scene of a power line on a tree until the power company arrived at 12:47 a.m. near N3219 County Road ZZ, Arkansaw.

A caller reported a tree blocking the road at 1:49 a.m. near W4373 210th Ave., Maiden Rock. When police arrived, the tree had been cleared.

Police responded at 2:34 a.m. to W3302 Highway 35, Maiden Rock, for a trespassing complaint. Two people were arrested on multiple charges.

Police reported to Pierce Pepin at downed power pole in the road at 4:06 a.m. near County Road U and 170th Avenue near Plum City.

The highway department removed a tree from the road at 4:38 a.m. near North Second Street and County Road B in Spring Valley.

Police notified the township of a downed tree in the road at 4:58 a.m. near 850th Street and County Road K, Hager City.

Police witnessed a suspicious vehicle pull into a closed business at 5:04 a.m. near 830th Avenue and Highway 65 in River Falls. The driver said his windows had frosted over and he needed to clear them.

The highway department removed a tree from the road at 5:36 a.m. near county roads N and J in Beldenville.

A caller reported a downed tree at 6:04 a.m. near County Road J and 690th Avenue, Beldenville. When police arrived, the road had been cleared.

Police notified Spring Valley Public Works about three trees in the road at 7:03 a.m. near Van Buren and West Beltline roads.

A woman called police at 8:24 a.m. and said she’d hit a light brown dog, possibly a pit bull, on Highway 35 near 770th Street in Hager City. A woman had stopped, picked up the dog and left. Police attempted contact at several addresses near the scene but didn’t locate the dog’s owner.

Police found a broken stop sign at the Bow & Arrow rest stop exit off Highway 35 in Hager City at 9:31 a.m.

A downed power pole was reported at 10 a.m. at N2028 County Road CC, Maiden Rock.

A dog owner reported being bitten by their own dogat 3:36 p.m. at N2850 650th St., Bay City. Police gave the owner the quarantine form and notified Public Health.

A caller reported a missing canoe at 5:07 p.m. at W6443 County Road V, Ellsworth. The canoe disappeared during the storm.

Police responded at 11:02 p.m. to W5309 County Road EE, Bay City, for a domestic. The suspect was gone when police arrived and the victim refused to give out any information.

Friday, Dec. 17

Police were called about a domestic at 5 a.m. at N1160 170th St., Maiden Rock. W woman wanted her longtime boyfriend removed from the home. Both parties were interviewed and were on their way to work.

Police removed a dead coyote from the road at 6:24 a.m. near Highway 35 and 113th Avenue, Maiden Rock.

Police responded to a vehicle in the ditch at 6:46 a.m. near County Road J and 780th Avenue, Beldenville. The driver returned to the scene.

Deputies assisted Ellsworth police with an alleged threat to the high school at 8:52 a.m. The threat was deemed to be false.

Officers responded at 11:59 p.m. to 307 W. Winter Ave., Elmwood, where a woman was reportedly yelling in the building. The parties agreed to separate for the evening due to a verbal argument.

Saturday, Dec. 18

At 10:15 a.m., police responded to a possible domestic at W1091 280th Ave., Plum City. Neither party wanted to make a report and separated for the day.

Police responded at 10:26 a.m. to N1752 20th St., Plum City, for a man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A trespassing snowmobiler was reported at 2:46 p.m. at Maple and Carson streets in Bay City. The suspect agreed not to do it again.

Deputies assisted RF police in locating a suspect at 6:05 p.m. who had been involved in a domestic at 420 Griffey St. The man was arrested for warrants and RFPD charges.

Deputies arrested a man for possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 6:38 p.m. at Main and Foster streets in River Falls for no plates.

Officers responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash with injury at 10:10 p.m. near N673 825th St., Hager City. The driver was arrested for operating after revocation, OWI and a failure to appear warrant. A tow company towed the vehicle.

Sunday, Dec. 19

Police made contact with a suspicious vehicle at 1:04 a.m. at the boat launch at N1299 825th St., Hager City. A man was using the overhead lights to fix his vehicle.

At 8:13 a.m., police were asked to check the area near Highway 35 and County Road E, Prescott, for a possible missing person. Police located an accident scene and the male driver was deceased in the vehicle.

Officers responded at 1:08 p.m. to W8101 290th Ave., Hager City, for a verbal dispute. Police spoke with both parties.

Police checked on a suspicious vehicle at 10:08 p.m. at Hiawatha Bank (N1555 770th St., Hager City). The person was using the ATM.

Deputies were called to a one-vehicle crash with damage at 11:04 p.m. near Highway 35 and 468th Avenue, Prescott. A crash report is in progress.

Monday, Dec. 20

At 2:19 a.m., police responded to N1090 825th St., Hager City, for a man who fell down the stairs and cut his head open.
