The following incidents were reported to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Nov. 29 through Dec. 6.

Monday, Nov. 29

Police collected information about a burglary at 10:13 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. at N650 825th St., Hager City.

At 1:47 p.m., Wisconsin State Patrol asked a deputy to check W6744 410th Ave., Ellsworth, for a vehicle that was allegedly in a motor vehicle accident on the interstate. The driver was identified.

At 2:22 p.m., officers responded to North Maple Street and West Overlook Drive in Ellsworth to dispatch a sickly raccoon.

At 3:31 p.m., a caller from W7280 170th Ave., Bay City, reported a vehicle they had given their son-in-law in the summer as stolen. Police told them it was a civil court matter because every time they get upset with the son-in-law, they want the vehicle back.

At 4:42 p.m., police located a man at Highway 63 and 825th Street in Hager City who had been involved in a pursuit in Minnesota. The man, who had warrants, was taken into custody for those and criminal trespass to dwelling.

Officers responded at 8:51 p.m. to N4726 Highway 63, Ellsworth, for an unwanted person who was revving their engine and scaring people in the home. The man agreed to leave.

Officers conducted a security check at 10:35 p.m. at N650 825th St., Hager City, where they found discarded property possibly related to a burglary case.

A complainant reported multiple gunshots at 11:47 p.m. near N5001 810th St., Ellsworth. No one was located.

Tuesday, Nov. 30

Officers attempted to make contact on behalf of the Minnesota State Patrol at 12:42 a.m. at N1022 385th St., Maiden Rock, regarding a death notification in a fatal semi crash.

Deputies investigated a suspicious person at 1:57 a.m. near County Road A and Highway 35, Maiden Rock.

Deputies assisted Prescott police at 2:28 a.m. near highways 10 and 29.

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle blocking a field drive all day at 1:45 p.m. near 910th Street and 710th Avenue, River Falls. The vehicle belonged to PCS, which testing a cell tower. The farmer said the vehicle could stay there as needed and he would use another field drive.

At 4:38 p.m., a caller at N6620 720th St., Beldenville, said he’d be burning a brush pile, which had a bunch of fireworks in it. Ellsworth Fire was onsite.

Police responded at 4:47 p.m. to W7141 148th Ave., Bay City, for a plane that was having landing gear issues after takeoff. The pilot was able to get the gear to function properly and land the plane safely.

At 6:21 p.m., a complainant on 720th Street, Beldenville, called to express concern over authorization of a controlled burn that involved fireworks. Police checked on the burn, which was being done in a safe manner.

During a traffic stop at 8:35 p.m. near Highway 63 and 825th Street, Hager City, police searched the vehicle due to a marijuana smell. The driver was arrested for a warrant, possession of firearm without a conceal carry permit, and possession of prescription pills without a prescription. He was also cited for operating without a license possession of THC.

Police arrested a man with a warrant at 10:51 a.m. at N1090 825th St., Hager City.

Wednesday, Dec. 1

Police checked on a disabled vehicle at 1:40 a.m. near Highway 10 and 1200th Street, Prescott. The driver had run out of gas and the battery had died. Prescott police retrieved gas for the driver.

At 3:53 a.m., police responded to a vehicle on fire in the ditch between the railroad tracks and Highway 35 near 452nd Street and 113th Avenue, Maiden Rock. No one was inside the vehicle and the driver had left the scene. Police attempted to contact the registered owner.

At 5:19 a.m., police responded to 560th Avenue and County Road O, Ellsworth, for a single-vehicle crash without injury. A report is pending.

At 7:35 a.m., police responded to a one-vehicle crash at 1200th Street and Highway 35, Prescott. A crash report will be completed by the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Red Wing police asked deputies to check N1353 Pine St., Bay City, at 8:50 a.m. for someone involved in a gas drive-off.

Police were notified at 9:46 a.m. of a transport company vehicle that had leaked oil all over a new concrete driveway at N8049 510th St., Spring Valley. The complainant wanted the incident documented.

At 12:47 p.m., police responded to N1639 County Road C, Hager City, for someone taking photos of a residence. No one was located.

Officers responded at 5:13 p.m. to W4122 650th Ave., Beldenville, for a property damage complaint. Someone had struck and broken a mailbox between 6:30 and 11 a.m.

A person was arrested for a warrant at 6:47 p.m. at 515 Main St., Plum City.

Thursday, Dec. 2

At 12:15 a.m., police saw a vehicle without a front license plate at Highway 63 and County Road VV, Hager City. Police arrested the driver for operating while revoked (alcohol related) and bail jumping (three counts), and cited for non-registration of vehicle, possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia.

Officers stopped to check on a suspicious vehicle parked in the Park & Ride at 1:27 a.m. at County Road CC and Highway 10, Maiden Rock. The people in the vehicle said they were waiting for a friend from Colorado.

At 12:24 p.m., a complainant reported his neighbor is running a business out of his home in a residential area (North Public Street and River Wood Drive, Elmwood) and he wants it stopped. Police advised the caller to talk to the village board.

At 3:21 p.m., deputies responded to Everts Resort (N1705 860th St., Hager City) for a suspicious man digging in the sand. When police arrived, the man and his truck were gone.

At 6:02 p.m., an officer checked on a possible parking hazard along 770th Avenue in the town of River Falls. An equipment trailer belonging to an out-of-state utility was parked along the road. The officer placed an orange cone on scene to better alert drivers.

Friday, Dec. 3

A caller reported at 6:20 a.m. that someone had placed items in his dumpster without permission at W6442 Highway 35, Bay City. Police contacted the suspect, who was ticketed with the option to void the citation if he removed the items.

Police performed a welfare check at 7:44 a.m. in Spring Valley, where a mother was allegedly yelling at her kids while they were waiting for the bus. Both mother and children are hearing impaired and the kids were fighting with each other. Everyone was okay.

An officer checked on a woman sleeping behind the wheel at 8:34 a.m. at W10604 County Road FF, River Falls. The woman was waiting for a friend to come fix her tire.

Police responded at 9:32 a.m. to S910 Beltline Road, Spring Valley, for an unwanted person, who agreed to leave and stay in a hotel for the weekend.

At 5:09 p.m., police assisted with a landing zone for a chopper on a medical at N6069 County Road BB, Ellsworth.

Police saw people walking through a field with a flashlight at 9:37 p.m. at N1551 County Road VV, Hager City. The homeowner said she was checking for tracks of trespassers.

A driver was arrested for possession of THC and obstructing an officer after a traffic stop for expired registration at 11:51 p.m. near Highway 35 and 170th Avenue, Hager City.

Saturday, Dec. 4

A woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC and possess drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for operating while revoked at 3:37 a.m. near Highway 35 and 170th Avenue, Hager City.

A driver was arrested on a warrant after a traffic stop at 4:31 a.m. near County Road O and Highway 35, Hager City.

A complainant reported neighbor harassment at 9:35 a.m. at W4734 850th Ave., Spring Valley.

A runaway juvenile was located at 3:37 p.m. at 1450 S. Wasson Lane, River Falls.

A caller reported suspicious activity at 4:56 p.m. at N1454 810th St., Hager City.

A woman was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct after police were called at 5:07 p.m. to W7960 370th Ave., Ellsworth for a woman threatening self-harm with knives. It was determined the woman was acting out for attention.

Officers responded at 7:28 p.m. to W3856 Highway 10, Maiden Rock, for a suspicious activity complaint. The property owner said she’d given permission for friends to be at the house.

Deputies assisted at the scene of a gas leak at 8:43 p.m. at N8552 805th St., River Falls.

Sunday, Dec. 5

A driver was arrested for OWI-first and cited for operating left of center after a traffic stop at 12:24 a.m. near County Road E and 640th Avenue, River Falls, for operating left of center.

A man reported his daughter had put a vehicle in the ditch at 1 a.m. near County Road Y and Highway 29, Spring Valley. The vehicle had no damage and no signs were hit. He said he’d have the vehicle removed in the morning.

At 7:15 a.m., a caller reported a box truck driving on the wrong side of the highway near highways 63 and 29, Spring Valley. Police found the truck at the Spring Valley Post Office. The driver denied driving on the wrong side of the road, but said he was driving slow due to ice. He also said the vehicle behind him was flashing its lights and he was afraid to stop or pull over.

Police responded to a one-vehicle rollover at 7:23 a.m. near W8476 Highway 29, River Falls.

A caller reported damage to trees at 10:23 a.m. at N2365 410th St., Maiden Rock. The trees had been trimmed without permission for some sort of off-road vehicle to get through.

The highway department removed a tree blocking the lane at 12:38 p.m. at Highway 10 and 510th Street, Ellsworth.

A tree was removed from the road at 1:18 p.m. near 650th Street and County Road N, Beldenville.

Officers responded at 5:30 p.m. to County Road O and 570th Avenue, Ellsworth, for a slide-in accident. A report is pending.

At 8:24 p.m., a caller reported someone knocking on her door at W3860 Highway 10, Ellsworth. The person was looking for the neighbor. The caller that it was odd.

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked along the road at 8:33 p.m. near County Road U and 170th Avenue, Plum City. The driver was listening to football on the radio while waiting for a restaurant takeout order to get done.

Police responded at 8:27 p.m. to S238 Church Ave., Spring Valley, for a domestic.

At 9:59 p.m., police spoke to a manager regarding an unwanted person at W6396 Highway 35, Bay City. Police located the man’s vehicle, but he wouldn’t answer the door. It was determined an employee had been giving the man free food. Police said they’d advise the man he was not welcome.

At 10:12 p.m., police found a man sleeping inside a car at E345 Highway 29, Spring Valley. The man had a power cord plugged into a village power source. He was advised it wasn’t a camping area and was told to move on.

Monday, Dec. 6

A caller reported at 2:15 a.m. that the neighbor’s dog was at their door barking and wouldn’t leave, at N7649 410th St., Spring Valley. Police attempted to call the dog’s owners but they didn’t answer. The caller was told to call the town chair.

At 5:26 a.m., police checked on a running vehicle with fogged up windows at the Park & Ride on Highway 10 and County Road CC. Both occupants were sleeping until they had to go to work in Spring Valley.
