The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has opened an investigation after finding two men dead last Friday morning.
Deputies reported receiving a call at about 11:25 a.m. from 32-year-old Amory Tarr, who said his father had been shot in Township of Clifton before they lost connection with Tarr.
After arriving on scene, authorities found 60-year-old Craig Tarr and his son Amory both dead.
“A gentleman on the line said that his dad had been shot,” said Pierce County Sheriff Nancy Hove in an interview with TV Station KSTP. “When we got there, no one was answering our calls back, and when we got to the house, we found two deceased males.”
Craig Tarr was the CEO and Founder of Energy Concepts, Inc., a solar energy equipment supplier located in Hudson. Craig was a licensed professional engineer in 13 states, a LEED accredited professional, an expert in mechanical engineering and a nationally recognized speaker.
According to Energy Concepts, Inc.’s website, his son Amory Tarr worked there as a solar installation technician.
“There are no other suspects that we are thinking of, the community should be safe,” said Hove, although the investigation is still active.
More information is expected to be released at a later time.
River Falls Police, the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin State Patrol also assisted at the scene.
