WOODVILLE — The Sons of Norway Valkyrien Lodge 53 invites the community to a special evening of music and storytelling featuring local musician and photographer Chris Falteisek. The event, titled “Norway 2026: A Concert Through the Eyes of a Photographer and Musician,” will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, in the Fellowship Hall at Zion Lutheran Church (221 Lockwood St., Woodville).
Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. Traditional Scandinavian treats will be served following the performance.
During the presentation, Falteisek will share music, photos, videos and personal anecdotes from his July 2026 Nordic pilgrimage across Norway and Sweden. Marking his seventh journey to Norway, the program highlights Falteisek’s deep connection to his ancestral homelands through a blend of original Nordic-inspired compositions and traditional Scandinavian folk music.
A native of Prescott, and current resident of Hastings, Minn., Falteisek began playing organ and piano for local services in the sixth grade. Over his career, he has composed and recorded 17 albums and performed across the United States and Scandinavia. He currently serves as Minister of Music at Christ Church of Woodbury and is an accompanist at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Hastings, as well as a substitute accompanist at several other local churches.
