The School District of River Falls is beginning the process of developing our next strategic plan (2028–2033), which will guide district priorities, decisions, and resources for the years ahead. Community involvement is essential to this effort; a successful plan is shaped by the people who know, support, and care about our schools. We invite staff, families, students, and community members to share their perspectives throughout the process to help define our shared vision.
To ensure your voice is heard, our district mailed a community survey this week. The survey is administered by School Perceptions, an independent educational research firm, ensuring your feedback remains confidential. If you haven't received your invitation, please check your spam, junk, or promotions folders.
Thank you in advance for your participation and feedback. Updates regarding strategic planning are available at:

Celebrating American Education Week
In a few weeks, it will be American Education Week. It is a tradition in River Falls to set aside time to celebrate the contributions of our employees during this week. It is an opportunity to honor the powerful impact that teachers and support staff have on our students while also celebrating our supportive community.
Each employee has the opportunity to create a positive environment in our schools, and we are fortunate to have the absolute best in River Falls. Finding meaningful ways to honor those who devote their careers to inspiring, engaging, and challenging students can be difficult. Perhaps the best way we have found is to express our gratitude with small gestures and sincere words.
The week is also about recognizing the importance of the support our schools receive from the River Falls community. I have been fortunate to live and work in other communities in Wisconsin, and I can confirm that all communities in our state have a high level of pride in their local schools. However, it is neither an overstatement nor a cliché to say that River Falls is special. In both professional and social settings, when I mention the district I work for, the response is remarkably consistent: “Great students and families.” “Amazing educators.” “Supportive community.” “You’re lucky.” These people are correct, and I am deeply grateful to serve along a community that values education so whole-heartedly.
