Spring Valley Middle School eighth grader Emma Buck was a finalist in the U.S. Courts Second Annual Bill of Rights Day Event, hosted by the United States Courts of Appeals along with the United States District Courts in the Seventh and Eighth Circuits. Buck wrote a 600word essay on the importance of the Bill of Rights. She was selected as one of the top 18 finalists from hundreds of students in 10 states on Nov. 15.
