The play features a small cast of eight people, portraying characters Wendy, Peter Pan, Tiger Lily, The Lost Boys and more. After making this show come together, the cast has become a close-knit group.

“It is really going to feel weird when we are done with the shows,” cast member Faith Rohl said. “We have all been doing this for so long it feels like, and we’ve all gotten really close.”

This show is about 45 minutes long, and tells the story of Peter Pan and Wendy going off to Neverland, only this story is more of a modern and darker twist on the original cartoon. The need to grow up is the message that really comes through.

“I asked the cast when I took over directing, ‘Why is this show important, why are we doing this show?’ And many of them had really good answers and showed how we can take our real life perspectives and experiences and put them into the acting and the meaning behind this story,” said Dale.

The cast all has fond memories over the course of rehearsals and creation of the final product. They are all excited and proud to put their hard work on stage during their three performances.

Kyle Holtan, who plays Smee and Mr. Darling said, “I’m just really excited to put it on for everyone. It'll be fun to see it all finally come together.”

The show encompasses a deeper meaning of the feeling and need to grow up. With the playful side of Peter Pan showing through and the nurturing and motherly side of Wendy showcased, it allows the audience to relate to the real life feeling of growing up and continuing on to next steps.

The cast and crew persevered through a few obstacles to get to this point; the auditions began in September and after their original director had to step away, their rehearsals stopped for about three weeks. After overcoming these hurdles, the cast and crew are excited and confident for this to finally come full circle and are looking forward to that rewarding feeling.

“I’m excited to see it all come together just because it’s been a really hectic process,” said cast member Shayla Rein. “We have changed directors and missed some practices so some things were pushed to the last minute so I’m just really excited to see how it has finally just come together.”
