SBDC Event: Legal issues for food & beverage industry, noon to 1 p.m., St. Croix Valley Business Innovation Center, River Falls. Topics include entity formation for food and beverage companies, food law regulations and compliance, intellectual property (brand and recipe protection). Followed by a Q& A with UW-Madison Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic. Thirty-minute private consultations are available two hours before and after the session, but you must pre-register. Saturday, April 30 FNBRF 5K Run, Walk, Roll Family Event, 5K starts at 8 a.m., kids fun run at 9:15 a.m., First National Bank of River Falls parking lot (104 E. Locust St., River Falls). Early registration is $20; after April 15 it’s $25. Kids 12 and under are free. Go to fnbrf.com or runsignup. com/FNBRF5K All proceeds will be used to purchase tennis shoes for children in need. Tattersall Tree Giveaway, 12-4 p.m., Tattersall Distilling (1777 Paulson Road, River Falls). To celebrate Arbor Day, get a free tree! Join SVSSP for a presentation on services it provides, such as non-medical volunteer services to help seniors and adults with disabilities maintain their independence; the opportunity to become a volunteer in the rural tradition of “neighbors helping neighbors;” all at no charge (donations accepted). Saturday, May 14 EHS Dance Team Meat Raffle, 3 p.m., Sabe’s Loft (W6390 State Highway 35, Bay City). Victory Fireworks will donate fireworks with each meat package. The dance team is a fully self-funded team without an athletic budget from the school. Fundraising efforts offset costs for dance families for uniforms, costumes, competition fees and more.
