RED WING – The United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha & Pierce Counties is pleased to announce the opening of its Community Investment Education Grant. This grant is designed to further the United Way’s education goal of promoting and supporting a whole-learner approach in education and youth development by addressing gaps of opportunity in our communities.

We aim to equip youth with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to succeed in school, work, and life.

Eligible organizations are encouraged to submit proposals that address one or more of the following areas:

  • Early Childhood Education: Programs that promote early literacy, math skills, and social-emotional development.
  • K-12 Education: Initiatives that support academic achievement, character development, and college and career readiness.
  • Youth Development: Programs that provide out-of-school time activities, mentoring, and leadership opportunities.

To be considered for the grant, applicants must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a public agency, or have a fiscal sponsor.
  • Serve one or more of the communities within the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha & Pierce Counties service area.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the whole-learner approach.
  • Submit a proposal outlining the project's goals, objectives, budget, and evaluation plan.

Applications are due on Jan. 16, 2025.
