Ellsworth Police Department reports: Dec. 22, 2025-Jan. 4, 2026

The following incidents were reported to Ellsworth Police Department Dec. 22, 2025 through Jan. 4, 2026.
Monday, Dec. 22
Police received a CPS report at 2:42 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of West Warner Street.
At 7:09 p.m., police were called about a loud neighbor at 259 E. Main St. They were told to turn the music down.
Tuesday, Dec. 23
Officers received a CPS report at 9:08 a.m. at a home in the 300 block of West Main Street. A child was interviewed.
At 11:06 a.m., a caller reported finding a stray cat at 244 W. Main St.
Scott Hamilton Davis, 58, Ellsworth, was arrested for a probation violation at 11:53 a.m. at 310 W. Main St.
Officers assisted EMS with a person choking at 12:23 p.m. at 301 N. Maple St.
Officers assisted Ellsworth Fire with a structure fire at 3:29 p.m. at 644 W. Main St.
At 6:57 p.m., police were called to a theft at 181 E. Main St. The suspect paid for the items but was trespassed from the store.
At 10:09 p.m., a caller reported hearing gunshots near Grant and Grove streets. Nothing was located.
Wednesday, Dec. 24
Police received a noise complaint at 8:23 p.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave. Someone turned the volume down on their TV.
Officers responded to a business alarm at 9:41 p.m. at 456 W. Main St. Nothing suspicious was located.
Thursday, Dec. 25
Officers were dispatched to a medical at 9:17 a.m. at 231 W. Woodworth St.
An intoxicated person was asked to leave 463 E. Wall St. at 9:20 p.m. They later returned but left before police arrived. They were trespassed from the business.
At 10:59 p.m., an intoxicated person was picked up by a friend at 325 W. Main St.
At 11:36 p.m., a caller requested extra patrol at 271 E. Summit Ave.
Friday, Dec. 26
At 3:21 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious person at 271 E. Summit Ave. He later realized he was mistaken and apologized.
At 7:49 a.m., police were dispatched to an alarm at the highway shop at 621 W. Cairns St. Everything was secure.
At 10:07 a.m., police responded to Broz Bar (455 E. Wall St.) for windows broken out of a party bus.
At 5:13 p.m., a caller reported an unwanted person on their front porch at 111 S. Pond St. They were told to leave.
A threat was reported at 7:26 p.m. at 440 W. Ray St.
Kahlaiya Lynn Harms, 24, Coon Rapids, Minn., was cited for operating after revocation after a traffic stop for a defective headlight at 7:51 p.m. at Industrial Road and Maple Street.
Haven Marie Elwell, 27, Minneapolis, was cited for expired registration after a traffic stop at 9:03 p.m. at Industrial Road and Maple Street.
Saturday, Dec. 27
At 2:47 p.m., officers assisted deputies at N8807 County Road F, River Falls.
Jaymz D’Erick Culver, 34, Elmwood, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 5:45 p.m. at Main and Hillsdale streets.
At 5:56 p.m., police received a noise complaint at 372 W. Main St. The suspect was told to turn down their music.
Police conducted a welfare check at 9:18 p.m. at 140 W. Humble Ave. Northwest Connections had a safety plan in place.
Sunday, Dec. 28
Dorothy M. Conroy, 86, Ellsworth, was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:37 a.m. at Main and Pond streets.
Connor Isaiah Scott Ekholm, 26, Woodbury, Minn., was cited for a winter parking violation at 2:52 a.m. at Maple Street and Bourbon Circle.
Police responded to a two-vehicle crash between Mark Alan Sandstrom, 66, Barnes, and Roger Gene Fritz, 80, Hager City, at 11:23 a.m. at Main and Chestnut streets. A truck struck a parked vehicle.
At 7:57 p.m., police located a vehicle stopped in the roadway at Wall and Main streets. Officers helped the motorist with frozen windshield wipers.
Officers assisted EMS with a non-breathing person without a pulse at 8:53 p.m. at 713 S. Maple St.
Monday, Dec. 29
At 12:58 a.m., a man advised police that pesticides were being sprayed into his residence at 271 E. Summit Ave. He denied EMS.
Officers were dispatched to an alarm at 6:38 p.m. at 481 W. Highland Drive. The owner was changing the alarm’s batteries and didn’t know it had been set off.
At 8:10 p.m., a man called police because he was hearing and seeing things at 271 E. Summit Ave. He was fine with extra patrol.
Tuesday, Dec. 30
Officers assisted EMS at 12:20 p.m. at 258 N. Beulah St.
At 4:54 p.m., police assisted Pierce County deputies with a fatal crash at Highway 63 and 770th Street, Hager City.
At 9:55 p.m., a caller complained he wasn’t able to drive up his driveway at Maple and Cairns streets. He was told to park on Cairns and advised to shovel and salt the driveway in the future.
Wednesday, Dec. 31
At 10:19 a.m., a business owner reported finding a man with glasses sleeping at 242 N. Broadway St. He was told to leave. The business owner wants him trespassed.
Officers assisted EMS at 12:13 p.m. at 141 Evergreen Estates St.
Officers provided lights while a vehicle was tugged from the ditch at 5:17 p.m. at 490th Avenue and Southgate Drive.
Joel David Gonzalez Martinez, 20, was cited for operate without valid license after a traffic stop at 8:08 p.m. at Beulah and Main streets.
Thursday, Jan. 1
Police responded to an unwanted subject complaint at 4:32 a.m. at 159 W. Main St.
At 6:30 a.m., police were asked to perform a welfare check on a man who had been in the bathroom at 101 N. Maple St. for 1.5 hours. He was homeless. Officers gave him a courtesy ride to Red Wing.
Police conducted a welfare check after receiving a 911 call at 10:55 a.m. at 217 N. Piety St. The woman was fine.
Friday, Jan. 2
Officers assisted EMS at 10:33 a.m. at 148 Evergreen Estates St.
Ashley Dawn Elwood, 29, Hudson, was arrested for operating after revocation and ignition interlock device tampering/failure to install after a traffic stop for speeding at 6:21 p.m. at Industrial Road and Maple Street.
Saturday, Jan. 3
A vehicle was found in the ditch at 5:24 a.m. at Crosstown Road and Railroad Avenue. The owner said it would be removed soon.
Deltyn Le Lincoln, 30, Ellsworth, and Juan Carlos Mendivil-Nunez, 30, Red Wing, Minn., were arrested for multiple warrants after a traffic stop for speeding at 2:15 p.m. at 101 N. Maple St. Drugs were also found in the vehicle.
Officers assisted EMS with a woman who fell at 5:58 p.m. at 231 W. Woodworth St. She was evaluated by EMS.
Leonid Karachenets, 62, Blaine, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 8:56 p.m. at Industrial Road and Maple Street.
Sunday, Jan. 4
John Everett Jackson III, 20, River Falls, was cited for operate without valid license after a traffic stop for a defective license plate lamp at 12:06 a.m. at Maple and Kinne streets.
Officers assisted EMS at 3:01 a.m. at 271 E. Summit Ave.
At 1:18 p.m., a man called police for drugs found in his deceased daughter’s house at 243 N. Bourbon Circle. They were confiscated and destroyed.
At 3:27 p.m., police detained someone on an emergency detention at a home in the 100 block of North Grant Street and transported them to La Crosse.
At 11:19 p.m., a caller reported hearing yelling in an apartment 372 W. Main St. Police heard nothing when they responded.
