ELLSWORTH - A vehicle struck an Ellsworth Middle School student Wednesday morning on the roadway behind Ellsworth High School.
Emergency personnel responded around 7:50 a.m. April 26 to the road behind the EHS cafeteria entrance. According to Superintendent Barry Cain, the girl sustained non life-threatening injuries. An ambulance transported her to the hospital.
“We wanted all parents to know about this as there were many emergency vehicles in the area this morning,” Cain said in an email sent to parents. “School staff will be communicating with the family of the injured student to keep updated on any needs.”
