Sharyl K. Kittilson, age 75, of River Falls, Wis., passed away peacefully on March 17, 2022 at Comforts of Home in River Falls, surrounded by her family.

Sharyl was born on July 5, 1946 in Roberts, Wis. to Warren and Donna (O’Connor) Wasson. She grew up in Roberts and graduated from St Croix Central High School. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in School Counseling. For many years, Sharyl taught elementary education in Ellsworth, Wis., Prescott, Wis. and Lakeville, Minn. She later became a school counselor, where she really found her passion for helping children. After leaving the school district, she opened her own private practice, counseling children for many years.

Sharyl’s zest for life made her the life of the party – always laughing, dancing, and walking around with a sparkle in her eyes and a skip in her step. She took great pride in her twins and relished entertaining her friends and family. She enjoyed sharing her gift of music by traveling to different nursing homes throughout the area playing the piano for the residents and staff. She also loved interior design, going out to lunch with her friends, greeting at St. Bridget’s church, frequenting Treasures of the Heart, and she adored her beloved cats. Sharyl is survived by her twin children: Meghan Orgeman and Mike (Hillary Combs-Orgeman) Orgeman; parents, Donna and step-father Walter (Swede) Lamson; brother, Scott (Jennifer

Smith Lamson) Lamson; aunt, Marianne Franklin; Meghan and Mike’s father, Jack Orgeman; Meghan and Mike’s stepfather, Steve Kittilson; along with several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Erna O’Connor and her father, Warren Wasson.

Public Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 211 E. Division St., River Falls with a private family service to follow.
