To the editor,
Congressman Ron Kind of District 3 in Wisconsin announced his retirement earlier this year. There are four Democratic candidates running for his seat. The winner of the primary election, which will be held on Aug. 9, will be on the ballot in November’s general election. My choice of the four is Rebecca Cooke. She learned the meaning of hard work, honesty, and neighborlinesswhilegrowinguponadairyfarm outside Eau Claire. She owns a small business and started a nonprofit that helps women get a start in becoming business owners themselves. She’s endorsed by small business owners and labor. She keeps her focus on the needs of people in western Wisconsin, not extremist politics. Her values shape her goal to be a champion for people who quietly do the work to power our country.
