Ellsworth got a massive win heading into the playoffs, beating a strong Osceola team on the road 31-20. Coincidentally, the Panthers hit the road to take on Osceola in the playoff opener in a No. 5 versus No. 4 battle in Division 4.

Spring Valley dominated Colfax 36-8 to close out the regular season. In the playoffs the Cardinals will be a No. 4 seed in Division 7 and host No. 5 Glenwood City. A week ago, Glenwood City did get the better of Spring Valley in a 27-7 ballgame.

River Falls was absolutely dominant, beating Wausau West 56-19 in the regular season finale. Senior quarterback Tino Massa tossed a whopping six touchdowns and senior Todd Benedict caught four of them along with 137 yards. With the win, River Falls is a Division 2 No. 1 seed, hosting No. 8 Beaver Dam. The win also made River Falls the Big Rivers Conference champions.

Prescott kept it close against a team that previously seemed unbeatable in Baldwin-Woodville, losing 36-29 in the regular season finale. The Cardinals are a No. 7 seed in the playoffs and travel to No. 2 Northwestern, a rematch from a tough 40-7 loss to open the season.
