Friday, March 31-Sunday, April 2

The Drowsy Chaperone, Prescott High School Auditorium (1010 Dexter St.) The PHS drama department will perform one show-stopping song and dance number atter another in this Tony award-winning musical. Performances are at 7 p.m. March 31, 2 and 7 p.m. April 1 and 2 p.m. April 2. You can purchase tickets at www.prescott.k12.wi.us

Saturday, April 1

Funsters Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to noon, Pierce County Fairgrounds (364 N. Maple St., Ellsworth). The Easter bunny will be on hand for photos; a dozen Easter baskets will be given away and two bikes. Hot dogs will be available.

Our Savior’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m., Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (N6450 530th St., Beldenville). Join us for an indoor egg hunt, face painting, balloons made by Lori, snacks and more.

River Falls Student Art Show – Opening Reception and Mini Golf, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., River Falls Public Library (140 Union St.). Celebrate the work of local student artists, which will be on display select days in April. Enjoy a free round of mini golf (adult supervision required for play).

RF Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., River Falls High School (818 Cemetery Road, River Falls). Concessions available. Accepting donations of food and money for the food pantry; used eyeglasses, cell phone and hearing aids; used printer cartridges and empty pill bottles.

Partner Euchre Tournament/Meat & Pie Raffle, 2 p.m., El Paso Bar & Grill (W4277 County Road G, Ellsworth). Join the fun and support the El Paso Community Club Crisis Fund. $10 per team; no sign up required with 50% payback/50% to the crisis fund.

Prescott Chicken Fry, 4:30-8 p.m., Prescott American Legion Post 61 (710 N. Pearl St., Prescott). All you care to eat fried chicken with all the fixings. Take out and dine-in available. If the Colonel had their recipe, he’d be a General. Call 715-220-8113 for more information or hall rentals.

Easter Egg Hunt, 1 p.m., Spring Valley Golf Course (S345 Hidden Fox Court). Get your photo with the Easter Bunny; hunt starts at 1:30 p.m. Age group is 0-10 years old; each child can hunt for three eggs before being let loose on a free-for-all. Hunt for tickets to win a brand-new bike.

Egg Hunt & Petting Zoo, 11 a.m. to noon, Diamond Bluff Town Hall (290th Avenue, Diamond Bluff). Petting zoo 11 a.m. to noon, egg hunt at 11:30 a.m., take photos with the Easter bunny 11 a.m. to noon. Sponsored by Furlong Design Studio and Echo Valley Ranch.

Elmwood Easter Egg Hunt, 1 p.m., Butternut Park (Elmwood Auditorium if inclement weather). Meet the Easter bunny! Door prizes given out for each age group.

Thursday, April 13

History Club, 2 p.m., Elmwood Public Library (111 N. Main St.) Pierce County Historical Association and local libraries are bringing local history lovers together to increase appreciation for local history. The group will lead and contribute to local projects in their own community. Each meeting will start with a Show & Tell. Bring a family or town photo, heirloom, tell a story or share a memory. Julie Huebel will also bring a local item from the PCHA archives to show.

St. Francis School of Rock Gala, 5-9 p.m., St. Francis School (244 W. Woodworth St., Ellsworth). Celebrate the school’s 75th anniversary with dueling pianos featuring Piano Men Trey Grimm and Dan Satterburg. Doors open at 5 p.m. for an evening of live music, dining, raffles, games, silent and live auctions, and a moving pledge. Dress the theme in distressed denim, leather jackets and rock T-shirts. Proceeds will be used to help sustain the viability of the school.

Wednesday, April 19

Elmwood PTO School Carnival, 5-7:30 p.m., Wolf Den Gym (213 S. Scott St., Elmwood). Bounce house, cake walk, games, prizes, food, henna artist, raffle baskets and more. Elementary kids must be accompanied by an adult. 

 

Friday, April 21

Block Party, 4-8 p.m., Orange Dragon Art Gallery (122 Orange St., Prescott). Join us for the spring student and local artist reception, with live music, prizes and more.

Earth Day Fair, 1-5 p.m., Freedom Park (200 Monroe St., Prescott). Learn how to be a better steward of the earth. Entomologist John Hempel will be onsite with his largest bug collection in the world. Check out booths on solar energy, beekeeping, gardening, a food truck and more!

Earth Fest 2023, noon to 4 p.m., Glen Park (355 Park St., River Falls). A free community celebration of the past, present and future sustainability efforts in River Falls and the surrounding area. This family-friendly event includes live music, fun family activities, food sampling, a sustainability and wellness fair, free giveaways and more.

Bring your old electronic items like batteries, cables, wires, cell phones, computers, dehumidifiers, holiday lights, light bulbs, TVs and more for recycling. Bring a form of identification and your most recent RF Municipal Utilities bill.

Hastings/Prescott Bike Tour, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sponsored by the Prescott Area Chamber of Commerce/Hastings Chamber. Stay tuned for details on start times for a guided bike tour across the bridge.
