Ag Day Cookout & Greenhouse Opening, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Ellsworth High School Greenhouse and lawn area (323 Hillcrest St.) Cookout is noon to 7 p.m., $5 per meal.

Electronics Recycling, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Public Works Garage (950 Benson St., River Falls). About to toss them in the trash? Not so fast! Bring your old electronic items like batteries, cables, wires, cell phones, computers, dehumidifiers, holiday lights, light bulbs, TVs and more for recycling. Bring a form of identification and your most recent RF Municipal Utilities bill.

Hastings/Prescott Bike Tour, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sponsored by the Prescott Area Chamber of Commerce/Hastings Chamber. Stay tuned for details on start times for a guided bike tour across the bridge.

Mountain Bike Skills Park Work Day, 1-4 p.m., Magee Park (Prescott). Coulee River Trails needs help clearing the area and constructing features for budding bikers to learn skills for trail riding. We are also in need of tractor tires, wood planks, large boulders and clay soil loads. For more information, contact info@couleerivertrails.org

PCHA Open House, noon to 4 p.m., Pierce County History Center (W6321 E. Main St., Bay City). Visit the history center to research, view displays, donate items, tour the authentic 1850s log cabin or just chat local history with volunteers.

Sunday Brunch, 9 a.m. to noon, River Falls Moose Lodge 594 Moose Lodge (620 N. Clark St., River Falls). Buffet includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, French toast, biscuits and sausage gravy, plus a Bloody Mary and Bubbly bar. Funds raised will go toward the parking lot fundraiser.

Thursday, May 11

History Club, 2 p.m., Spring Valley Public Library (E121 Second St.) Pierce County Historical Association and local libraries are bringing local history lovers together to increase appreciation for local history. The group will lead and contribute to local projects in their own community. Each meeting will start with a Show & Tell. Bring a family or town photo, heirloom, tell a story or share a memory. Julie Huebel will also bring a local item from the PCHA archives to show.

Pine Glen Cemetery Annual Meeting, 6:30 p.m., Prescott City Hall (800 Borner St.). All grave owners are encouraged to attend.

‘Thistles & Thorns’ Book Signing, 6:30 p.m., Ellsworth Public Library (388 W. Main St.) Author Jessica Peterson will speak about trauma responsive communities and grieving with gratitude. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Trivia Night, 7-9 p.m., Spillway (S225 McKay Ave., Spring Valley). Spring Valley Public Library Trivia Night. First Thursday of each month. $300 for first place. Points carry over from each month.

Friday, May 12

RF Area Retired Educators Association, 11 a.m., St. Croix Lanes (1153 St. Croix St., River Falls). We accept members who are retired and part of the Wisconsin Retirement System. We will discuss the future of our local group (when and where we meet, dues, new members). We will talk about the many benefits of belonging to RFAREA and the WREA.

Prescott K9 Fundraiser Dueling Pianos, 5:30-10 p.m., The Old Ptacek’s Event Center (1449 Orrin Road, Prescott). Ticket includes dinner and show at $50 per person or $375 per table of eight. DM Lisa Johnson, Trisha Packard or Shannon Billeter for tickets.

63’s Car Show, noon to 5 p.m., 63 Bar & Grill (N4306 Highway 63, Ellsworth). Classes from the 30s through 80s, with trophies awarded. All drivers will be judges. Trophies awarded at 2 p.m.

Saturday, May 13 & Sunday, May 14

‘Mama, a Rainbow,’ 7 p.m. May 13 and 2 p.m. May 14, Spring Valley Stagehands Theatre (S234 McKay Ave., Spring Valley). A 2023 Mother’s Day concert by the Spring Valley Treble Choir, directed by Ann Turner. Tickets available online at svstagehands.org or at the door prior to each show. Adults are $10, seniors are $8 and students are $8.

Wednesday, May 17

Tourism Grant Info, 5:30 p.m., Lucille’s (216 Broad St., Prescott). Need money for your event? Will your event promote Prescott? Bring tourism to Prescott? Join the Tourism Grant Committee for an information session on how to apply and qualify for tourism grant funding.

Thursday, May 18

May Book Club, 5:30 p.m., Elmwood Public Library (111 N. Main St.) We will discuss two banned books: “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck and “Forever” by Judy Blume.

Friday, May 26

EMS Color Run, 2:15 p.m., Ellsworth Middle School (312 Panther Drive). Join us for the EMS Color Run where students run through a dedicated track while having color thrown at them from everywhere.

Saturday, May 27

Mooney’s Car Show & Bike Rally, 9 a.m., downtown Spring Valley. Line up starts at 9 a.m. Road closes at 11 a.m. Registration is $5. Every car and bike receives a dash plaque. Trophies in different categories.

Friday, June 2

A Taste of Tuscany, 4:30 p.m., Vino in the Valley (W3826 450th Ave., Maiden Rock). The Ellsworth Community School District Foundation’s annual fundraiser. Funds raised enrich and enhance learning opportunities for students. Enjoy great wine, delicious dinner, silent auction, live music, vineyard tours by wagon and more. Saturday, June 10

Showdown in Curdtown, 6:30 p.m., Pierce County Fairgrounds (364 N. Maple St., Ellsworth). Eight pulling classes attracting participants from across the nation. This event is the main fundraiser for the Ellsworth FFA Alumni.
