RIVER FALLS – Grow to Share received an $18,500 award from Power of 100 Women of River Falls to help fund its move to a new location and the addition of a greenhouse and irrigation systems.
The check was presented Oct. 22, following Power of 100 Women’s Oct. 1 fall meeting, attended by approximately 100 women. The group has 185 members.
Power of 100 Women meets twice a year, with three non-profit organizations presenting their work and explaining how funding would benefit their programs. Members vote to select the recipient.
A holiday event, Shop with a Cop, is scheduled for Dec. 2 at St. Croix Lanes. The event is open to the public and will start at 5 p.m.
Since the Power of 100 Women River Falls started in 2018, it has donated over $400,000 to organizations.
