HAGER CITY - For more than 130 years, Nestlé Purina has been committed to giving back to its communities and enriching the lives of pets and people. This year, team members from the Hager City factory took part in the company’s 24th annual Purina Cares Day by dedicating an entire day to volunteering and engaging in community service.
To support the beautification of Hager City, over 80 Purina associates dedicated approximately 240 volunteer hours across multiple community sites. Their efforts included cleaning highways and local baseball fields, as well as enhancing the Pierce County Dog Park, where teams built fences and benches to improve safety and comfort for dogs and their owners.
This commitment underscores Purina's dedication to making a meaningful impact within the Hager City community.
“We are honored to make an impact in the community where Purina and our associates live and work,” said Rachel Gesmer, Purina Hager City human resource manager. “It was a great day of team building and seeing our associates come together for the betterment of pets and people.”
The Purina Hager City factory opened its doors in 1969 and employs more than 100 local associates who are proud to support these local initiatives. To learn more about the causes Purina supports, visit purina.com/partnerships.
