RIVER FALLS – Attention current River Falls High School sophomores and juniors! Applications are now open for those interested in becoming a 2024-25 River Falls Royal Ambassador!

The River Falls Royal Ambassadors Board invites all 10^th and 11^th grade students living or enrolled in the River Falls School District to participate in the River Falls Royal Ambassador Program during River Falls Days in July. This is a pageant-like competition.

Candidates must be in good academic standing (2.50 GPA or higher) and eligible to graduate in 2025 or 2026. An outgoing personality and the desire to engage with the community are beneficial qualities for candidates. The selection process begins by attending informational meetings in early spring and completing an application. Ambassadors are chosen using a scoring system similar to that of large national pageants. They are selected based on their application, essay, personal interview, a social hour with all candidates and the panel of judges, performance in a group dance number, individual talent or informational presentation, and a speech introducing themselves to the community.

Responsibilities include representing River Falls at various events and activities. Parents or legal guardians of selected ambassadors are expected to participate in ambassador events. Up to four ambassadors will be chosen, each receiving a scholarship for further education.

Applications opened Feb. 19 and the deadline for submission is April 5. An informational meeting will be held Monday, March 11. If interested, contact rfroyalty@yahoo.com for more information.
